View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought Adobe Elements Photshop and Premier 11. I spent 2 to 3 hours getting my picture video library into Adobe's organizer. I had some problems with duplicate picture (that I wanted to be there - so I had to rename them) and a couple pictures with corrupted metadata. After I got all that sorted out I am a bit miffed about the folder view on Adob'es organizer.
I love that you can switch to folder view - since this is how I have been organizing my pictures for a long time. I would like to continue organizing this way for now until I get a grasp on the other ways I can organize them in elements. However, every time I close and re-open organizer it switches back to the default view instead of folder view. there is a way to set folder view to the default view!
Is there a way to modify the DEFAULT SCALE LIST to show a metric scale list in an imperial template? I mean, I start a drawing using the imperial template, but i want to use the standard metric scales on paper space. on previous versions the scale list shown both imperial & metric. Now it depends of what the template is using.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen searching for files I've worked on using File>Open in CS6, the List view of the folder no longer shows a thumbnail of the file. This is ridiculous, as every other version of Photoshop has had it, and everyone is complaining.
Why isn't Adobe responding to this? With the frequency with which we have to update to be able to update rather than buying the entire version, we shouldn't be losing functionality in the program. How about it Adobe?????
I am organizing my photos, and used a plug-in that keyworded all my duplicates and put them in a Smart Collection. I would like to see the folder path for each duplicate photo within the details of the grid. That is, without having to r-click and choose "show in explorer" for each photo.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen you have a part with a thread feature, the default setting should show the thread feature in the drawing view...rather than making the user right click the view and select "Display Thread Feature". I don't understand why this doesn't show up in the drawing automatically...it is, after all, a feature on the part.
View 3 Replies View RelatedBy default, PSE uses the Windows preferred location for this user. I have a folder that is easier to access, simply D:Scans, and I have to enter this manually, as well as removing the default to set up a folder with "today's date" every time I do a scan. I would like to modify these default settings. Surely those locations must be held in an installed file somewhere, and so if I can just edit that file I'd be very happy.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter several moves of pictures to a new disc (via File, Move within Photoshop Elements Organiser 9) the folder view no longer shows the correct photos. The photos are in the correct locations and the properties also show the correct location. If I select a directory in folder view however, several photos are shown that are not in that directory.
I tried to repair the catalog, but that didn't change the problem.
I am very much missing a facility in the Organiser to move directories, a complete directory tree or just the disk letter of my catalog.
I recently had to reload Photoshop Elements on a new computer, and the new install doesn't display the folder view of all the files in the Catalog like it did on my old computer. I don't remember how to get that view back? I've tried searching for Folder View, and Hierarchical view, and explorer view, but obviously I don't call this the same thing the Adobe programmers did.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe message sez to download the photos, but this has already been done, so no new photos are downloaded. Also I cannot initially see all my subfolders, and need to right click and select show all subfolders each time.

View 8 Replies View RelatedAfter taking a large batch of pictures, I want to place them in a folder and rapidly view the full images one at a time to select which to keep and which to discard. IN PE-8 how can I display two panes - one pane containing the image file names contained in a folder and the other pane which displays the image of the file name selected? Using the arrow keys, I want to move through image file names one at a time while displaying the image associated with the file name in the other pane.
View 1 Replies View RelatedA lot of pictures of my collection do have GPS-data in EXIF-header. Sometimes they are shown on the world-map, sometimes not. In list-view they are never shown. The list-view knows only locations, which are matched with PSE.
The EXIF-input was made by two different tools (Holux GPS Software and Geosetter 3.4.16).
How can I get the list-view for the saved files without using PSE adding location?
can I show all media files in tree view? I used to be able to in PSE 5....what a shock going from 5 to 12!
View 2 Replies View RelatedThere is a folder on my hard drive that does not appear in the list of folders in the import dialog. I have tried expanding all the other folders around it (my photos are filed by date of capture) to see if it was somehow imported as a subfolder. It is simply not there. I can find and open it and access all the pictures in Photoshop Elements but not in Lightroom 4.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got some 500 photos in a folder which were imported on two different dates. I've created a new album on the right hand side under "Organize" and just the photos I want are in there. When I look at the folder on the right, all the pictures are there. But I can't call up just that folder; instead what I get on my screen is all 2500 photos in all my photo albums! Not what I want! What I want to get is all the photos in the order in which they were taken on the actual day as all 500 photos were taken at the same day. And I want to be able to view just the 500 photos in that folder by the time those pictures were taken. But, when I imported the second batch of photos it showed the date the file was created rather than the date the photo was taken so, basically, I've got one batch of photos showing the date they were taken (which I downloaded via a link a few days later), and one showing the date they were copied!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new to Elements 10 and I'm having a hard time figuring things out but 1 thing in particular. I'm on a PC and use Windows 7.I already import a lot of pic's to Elements or so I thought.
When I'm in "Folder Location" and click on a folder it doesn't display any pictures and says "No files from this folder have been imported into Elements Organizer. To add any files, right click on the folder and select "Import to Organizer"
So I do as I'm told and then i get this error."Nothing was imported. The files or folders selected to import did not contain any supported file types or the files are already in this catalog."
I just finished importing my photos to Elements, and was going to add the folder I keep them in to my watched folders, to keep them up to date. Since everything imported just fine, I was surprised to find that I got the following error when trying to add the folder:
The Watch Folder service returned an error: Access is denied.
I looked around the site using search and Google, and found a few other occurences of this error, but they all only show answers that apply to network shares. The folder I am trying to watch is not a network drive that I have to use a \serverfolder format to access, as the folder is located on my hard drive under C:UsersusernameGoogle DrivePictures.

Installed Elements 12, converted catalog but now my sub folders are shown as main folders in Organizer folder view. How can I get back my original folder/sub folder system? When I look at Windows folders my system is as it was so the two don't match any more. On searching further came across more info on Community-powered support for Photoshop Family and it seems Adobe have removed the option of sub folders.

After upgrading to Inventor 2014 we notice that the graphics do not work properly, and that the overall performance in drawings and modelling bad compared to 2013. Then we installed SP1 and now drawing views are disappearing, however when we select "shaded" view the view reappears and works perfectly..
Any workaround regarding disappearing views?
