Photoshop :: A Seperate Folder For Plug-ins Under The Filter List
Sep 30, 2006
I have amassed a few plugins which i wish to use in CS2. When I copy the plugins into the "plugin folder" in Photoshop CS2, the result is a long list within the program itself under the Filter
On my new system build, Vista 64-bit, CS4, I can't get any plugins to show up in the list of filters. I put them into the plugins folder like I always have, and restarted Photoshop, even restarted the computer, but no dice.
camera raw filter does not show up on the filter drop list on CC. I am trying to determine why this is the case. So far everything else seems to work.
Cannot find the "Adobe Photoshop Only" folder in the "Plug-ins" folder. Isn't CS4 meant to have one since all earlier version, CS2,3, have that folder.
AND:
Is it normal for CS4 not to allow 2 images at the same time to remain on the desktop?
I finally got everything set up in the new Mac and am ready to start adding stuff to specific programs. What I don't want to do in CS2 is put every plug-in and action I have into the PS folders. It just makes the program take WAAAAY too long to open. Isn't there a way, like with fonts, that you can have a second folder in CS and only access it when you need a specific Action or Plug-in?
Trying to load plug-ins in CS6, on a Mac, but there is no filters file under the Plug-ins folder. It is completely vacant except for a Panels folder. Did the filters folder move to somewhere else?
I tried to install the optional extract filter on CS4 Extended by dropping it into the photoshop filters folder. When I tried to open it a message comes up that says "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." When I restart photoshop it says the filter is not designed to run on windows or it contains an error.
There is a folder on my hard drive that does not appear in the list of folders in the import dialog. I have tried expanding all the other folders around it (my photos are filed by date of capture) to see if it was somehow imported as a subfolder. It is simply not there. I can find and open it and access all the pictures in Photoshop Elements but not in Lightroom 4.
When searching for files I've worked on using File>Open in CS6, the List view of the folder no longer shows a thumbnail of the file. This is ridiculous, as every other version of Photoshop has had it, and everyone is complaining.Â
Why isn't Adobe responding to this? With the frequency with which we have to update to be able to update rather than buying the entire version, we shouldn't be losing functionality in the program. How about it Adobe?????
In Photoshop CS 6, I noticed that some of the filters I use (Mostly The Cut Out Filter in the Artistic Folder) is not on the filter dropdown list anymore like it has been on other versions of Photoshop. I have to go to FILTER GALLERY  Then I go to ARTISTIC then I can see the Cut Out Filter.
Is there any way I can make the Artistic Folder, or any other Filter Folder in the Filter Gallery a part of the Filter dop down list? This would be be a little faster and save me a few clicks with the mouse. Â Question # 2. I have an EPSON 3490 Scanner and I scanned a document into PS 6 and it asks me to save it in a folder before I can open it up in Photoshop. Can I just Scan it in, and then decide where I want to save it? This was always the way in every other version of Photoshop. I really do not want to have 2 versions of the same picture on my computer. Â Question # 3 Why does it always save as a .jpeg when I scan using Photoshop? I would like to always save it as a .psd as it scans in to Photoshop.
I am on a PC, Windows 7 and CS5.5 Creative Suite in 64bit. I have downloaded pixelbenderplugin_p3_pscs5-1_64bit_061711.mxp I have run Extension Manager as Administrator  Yet still Pixel Binder does not show up in my Filters List.
I am a long time LISP 20+ years. I have a network directory. I need the VBA to give me the names 20 at a time. I can get it to give me the whole directory.
Sub test() Dim cFile As String cFile = Dir$("N:/Network/*.DWG") xFile = "" While cFile <> "" xFile = xFile & cFile & vbLf cFile = Dir$ Wend MsgBox xFile End Sub
In short I need to know how to to build the names to a list and manipulate it.
How can I go to see next image from the folder list in situatiom when I opened some picture, and looking at it? There is no arow for "next image"? As i see, I must open all pictures from sam folder, and then I can use ctrl-tab to go to see any picture from the folder list.
I want to create a movie using video studio x4 I have around 20 folders with pictures and videos I want to add all of them to the list of folders in the Video studio x4 folder list so i will have all the media organized there for editing I dont know how to add all the folders automatically, is there an easy way to do it? I tryed to drag and drop but it wont let me, how to do it without creating each folder on its own (it will be lots of work)
Is there a way to Sort or Filter only the RAW files in a Library folder that have had adjustments made to them in the Develop Module?  Not by date, key words or flags etc. Only develop adjustments.
LR4.1 64-bit Windows 7  I have relatively small (1k), and completely flat (non-hierarchical) keyword list.  for a small number of keywords, I have the following problem:  If I open Library, witht the centre panel in Grid View, then select Keyword List from the RHS panel, and select one these "problem" keywords, On the rhs of the screen it shows a number, indicating the number of images to which this keyword is attached.  I then click the arrow next to the number to display the images with this keyword.  the library filter opens in the centre panel of the screen area, dropping down the Keyword filter and correctly highlighting the selected keyword; however against this, the keyword show 0 matches and the message "No photos match the filter" is displayed.  If I right-click on the keyword in the Keyword List and select delete, the message is displayed that the keyword will be deleted from n photos  Thus I don't know if there are photos with the keyword which are just not being displayed, or whether there are a number of "phantom" keywords which are not associated with any images.  It may be that I am lacking understanding of some aspect of LR functionality; or that somehow there is an indexing problem within my LR catalogue.
I have an image which is all one layer. I want to seperate the text from the white background so I can place it over photographs without the white background appearing.
I have an image that i am trying to modify. The background is completely white, and it has features in the forground that are black, grey, and red. I want to be able to seperate it in to layers, one layer containing everything white, and the other layer containing ONLY the other features(everythign that isnt white). How can i do this? I am using Photoshop Elements 5.
I'm going prematurely grey over it. Here's what I've done so far.I've opened the two files for the pics I want. One is for the backgound image the other has a quick mask I've applied for the foreground. I opened a new file and enlarged the canvas size. Then tried to drop & drag the background image into the new canvas. That doesn't work. However when I drop & drag the one with the qick mask it will co-opertate but the pic grows far too large in the new canvas.
I've got ton of 50mb tiffs I need to reduce to small jpegs and watermark.
But I made an action and the watermark looked great on some and microscopic on others.
The files that had a resolution of 4000 (from slides per scanner) were fine.
The files that were shot digital -- resolution of 240, watermark was microscopic.
So only solution is to make seperate actions correct? (what a hassle)
Seems so stange in that the files are all same size more or less in size and the resolution really only matters if you print the dang thing, which I'm not doing now!
I have a scanned image of an old letter. I want to know if I can lift, seperate, the writing layer from the background? If so, how would I go about doing this.
I use extended data on 2d entity in AutoCAD 2010. In a lisp program, I have filtered with extended data selection. Filters work with entity like: line, polyline and Mline but with insert entity it don’t work.
