I finally got everything set up in the new Mac and am ready to start adding stuff to specific programs. What I don't want to do in CS2 is put every plug-in and action I have into the PS folders. It just makes the program take WAAAAY too long to open. Isn't there a way, like with fonts, that you can have a second folder in CS and only access it when you need a specific Action or Plug-in?
Cannot find the "Adobe Photoshop Only" folder in the "Plug-ins" folder. Isn't CS4 meant to have one since all earlier version, CS2,3, have that folder.
AND:
Is it normal for CS4 not to allow 2 images at the same time to remain on the desktop?
Trying to load plug-ins in CS6, on a Mac, but there is no filters file under the Plug-ins folder. It is completely vacant except for a Panels folder. Did the filters folder move to somewhere else?
I have amassed a few plugins which i wish to use in CS2. When I copy the plugins into the "plugin folder" in Photoshop CS2, the result is a long list within the program itself under the Filter
When I open Elements 9 in Folder Location the images displayed are not those in the highlighted folder. Similarly if I select another folder I see another selection of images from elsewhere in the structure.Â
I'm new to Elements 10 and I'm having a hard time figuring things out but 1 thing in particular. I'm on a PC and use Windows 7.I already import a lot of pic's to Elements or so I thought.  When I'm in "Folder Location" and click on a folder it doesn't display any pictures and says "No files from this folder have been imported into Elements Organizer. To add any files, right click on the folder and select "Import to Organizer"  So I do as I'm told and then i get this error."Nothing was imported. The files or folders selected to import did not contain any supported file types or the files are already in this catalog."
I am new to PS scripting and trying to create a basic script to gather folder paths and then remove the path of that folder. I have created a basic array and while trying to
I just finished importing my photos to Elements, and was going to add the folder I keep them in to my watched folders, to keep them up to date. Since everything imported just fine, I was surprised to find that I got the following error when trying to add the folder:  The Watch Folder service returned an error: Access is denied.  I looked around the site using search and Google, and found a few other occurences of this error, but they all only show answers that apply to network shares. The folder I am trying to watch is not a network drive that I have to use a \serverfolder format to access, as the folder is located on my hard drive under C:UsersusernameGoogle DrivePictures.  Elements Organizer 11.0.0.0 Core Version: 11.0 (20120830.r.32025) Language Version: 11.0 (20120830.r.32025)  Current Catalog: Catalog Name: Google Drive Photos Catalog Location: C:ProgramDataAdobeElements OrganizerCatalogsGoogle Drive Photos Catalog Size: 31.5MB Catalog Cache Size: 68MB  System: Operating System Name: Windows 8 Operating System Version: 6.2 System Architecture: AMD CPU Family:15 Model:10 Stepping:0 with MMX, SSE Integer, SSE FP Built-in Memory: 7.2GB Free Memory: 5.2GB  Important Drivers / Plug-ins / Libraries: Microsoft DirectX Version: 9.0 Apple QuickTime Version: 7.74 Adobe Reader Version: 11.0 Adobe Acrobat Version: Not installed
Installed Elements 12, converted catalog but now my sub folders are shown as main folders in Organizer folder view. How can I get back my original folder/sub folder system? When I look at Windows folders my system is as it was so the two don't match any more. On searching further came across more info on Community-powered support for Photoshop Family and it seems Adobe have removed the option of sub folders.Â
Not sure if it's a bug or not but when removing a whole project the "random" folder(s) are still in the Media Storage folder. Everything connected to the project(s) are gone but not the random folder smoke creates when creating project files. Any specific reason their still in the Media Storage folder?
Im a bit of a neat-freak... After removing a whole project, is it safe to remove all the empty folders? Or would that cause problems for other projects?
When importing something off of a DVD or CD how do I direct Lightroom to copy the imported images or folder to a specific folder on my hard drive? It seems to default to MyCatalog but leaves the location on the CD rather than copying it to the drive. If I remove the CD the images is reported as missing.
When I go to the top of the screen for importing I can change the source but the location info on the right is not active or changeable.I am new to lightroom and coming from Photoshop Elements background.
I have another question about installing LR5. How do I manage to install the program to a special folder and not the custom folder on drive c:? Â I just run the installation through application manager. I set the installation folder within my presets to d:adobe...
But anyway it was installed on hard drive c:  A direct download of the installer from adobe is not possible unfortunately.
I was in the process of moving a folder inside or LR. I might have clicked and moved it twice since it was very slow. LR wasn't able to complete the move and gave me an error message. After I clicked "OK" on the error message, I wasn't able to find my folder/images from the old or new location. I did a spotlight search on my mac, but I wasn't able to find them anywhere. Where has my folder/images gone? I tried to locate them without any success.
Being very, very new to Photoshop, could anyone tell me where to find plug-in‘KPT 5.0’ I’ve downloaded the 5.01 update files but can’t find ‘5.0’ to update! I already uploaded this question but it seems to have gone !?
I have installed the RAW plugin. It shows up in the help plugins. I did the preferences scratch and plugin etc. Will not open my RAW, which are really CRW files from my Canon 300 DSLR. What am i doing wrong?
I need to know how to install this plug-in from my photoshop CD. I follow all the steps, but still have a problem when I open up PSCS -- error message saying that some kind of .dll file cannot be found. I unzip the file (I think) and move the folder to the "plug-ins" folder in Photoshop program file.
I am able, however, to open photoshop despite that error message, but I don't see the effect under Filter>Render, where it says it will be. Am I missing an actual installation step and if so, where does it tell me to actually install the 3D filter? I had to make a cube for a class I'm taking and I made it, but freehand and a lot of transforming.
I am trying to locate a third party plugin for PhotoShop that was described to me by someone who had seen a website on it but did not remember the URL. Supposedly the manufacturer of the plugin had contacted the makers of a number of digital cameras and had incorporated profiles of each of them in the software, so that many of the problems of digital imaging (noise, grain, etc) were easily corrected with one click.
I have adobe CS4, windows vista and Nik software plugins. The plugins installed fine and I can open and use them in photoshop. However, when I click on "Ok" to apply the filter in photoshop, it shows as applied in the history states but it hasnt actually applied it to the photo.
The graphics cards is an ATI radeon HD 3650 and seems to be recognised by CS4 and am using open GL.
I've been using photoshop since version 5.. so I did what I've always been doing with my 3d party plugins.... stick em in the plugins folder but nothing happens.....I spent the whole day trying to figure out why.... in any istructions come with the plugins it was just saying to do the same old thing..... so does any body have any ideas why it wont work...?Does it matter that I got 64bit windows?....
been using PhotoShop for mabye a year and a half and was just wondering what plugins people here used, and what kind of work you used them in (website graphics, logos, abstract art, etc)
heres what i usually like to use..
KPT7 - if ya dont know and have never used these u dont know what your missing.. espically hypertiling and fraxflame
Master Blaster - great free color plugins.. come in yellow, green, red, blue, violet.. 3 filters in for each color (hue tint and background) plus 3 mixer plugs which mix RGB in really odd ways..
Flaming Pear - Flood, a really cool water plugin... Lunar Cell - Makes planets and moon like objects. Solar Cell - makes stars and suns.. I haven't really used too many other plugs from these guys but im sure they all rock..
I've got about 10,000 photos that I've moved in lightroom by creating a folder called 'pictures' on the external drive using the left folders panel. I then selected all the images in the root drive on my computer and dragged them onto the 'pictures' folder on the external drive, and I expected the folder structure to come with it. Only after I realised that they had all moved into one folder. Is there a way of moving the images back into a structure without manually doing it? Here's a screenshot.....
Im using the most recent version of Lightroom 5.3 (updated through CC - even though this has shown up on previous version) on Windows 7 and all the folders in my library are showing up with the directory path in front of my folder names. How can I get rid of this? I do not see any options in preferences to turn this off. I have also turned off preferences in Windows > Folder Options Control Panel "Display full Path in Title bar" option. Â I have Lightroom on several computers and have set up preferences the same on each workstation, and this only shows up on one workstation.
