View 1 Replies View RelatedThis morning (10/25/12) after booted my system I had a notification that there was a set of updates to my Photoshop CS6 product set. I went ahead a did the updates which installed successfully. A few minutes later I started up Photoshop Elements 10. The start-up of PSE 10 appeared normal at first, but there was a lot of hard disk activity and the Organizer window would not respond when I tried to move the sliders. I started up Task Manager and could see that PSE 10 was continuing to use processor time. I killed PSE 10 and restarted it. I decided to let it run and so far it's been doing something for over 30 minutes. From time to time the window will flash and occasionally I get an hourglass icon to display over the window. I'm not able to move the window or shrink it. I guess I'll just let it run to see if it will ever become operational. My catalog has entries for about 40,000 images so I'm wondering if the Adobe update affected something in the catalog, although the update did not seem to include anything for PSE. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit edition with all the latest Microsoft updates.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I am editing a lot of pictures, after saving the edited picture and when I go to open the next picture, the folder always goes back to the beginning. This then requires to scroll down to the nest picture to be edited which takes a LOT of time, especially if there are 200-300 pictures ihn the folder. In the "old" elements this was not a problem. Is there a setting someplace. I am using Elements 10.
View 1 Replies View Relatedthe organizer doesn't present thumbnails in alphabetical order which is crucial for my business as everything I do is based on a running number. There fore I like to suggest to Adobe to create a patch where this problem is fixed. Its a shame that Elements 11 doesn't contain this function as it has any way been improved in so many other ways.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI take high school sports photos using a Canon 7D camera, that can take about 9 pictures per second, which is great for capturing events. I've noticed with several versions of Photoshop Elements (9 &11), on Win 7 Pro 32 AND Win 7 Pro 64 versions (on multiple computers) that when I use Get Photos & Videos|From Camera or Card Reader, then in the photo downloader dialog box, use the Rename Files option, that my picture files get renamed in jumbled fashion. Not all pictures are jumbled, but many. If I have files on my Canon such as DIG001.jpg, DIG002.jpg, DIG003.jpg, DIG004.jpg, they may be renamed as RenameFilename001.jpg (which is acutally DIG001.jpg), RenameFilename002.jpg (which is actually DIG003.jpg), RenameFilename003.jpg (which is actually DIG002.jpg), RenameFilename004.jpg (which is actually DIG004.jpg) - in this case original picture files 2 & 3 have been reversed. This is very confusing when reviewing a photo sequence that is renamed into an out of chronological order sequence (i.e. ball is hiked, ball is caught by receiver, ball is kicked, receiver runs with caught ball).
I have also confirmed that there is nothing wrong with the Canon 7D camera by taking high speed pictures of a video which is displaying video frame numbers. I can confirm that the files as stored in the camera are in the direct chronological order as taken (i. e. 001, 002, 003, 004, etc.). When I then download these pictures from the camera using Photoshop Elements 11, they are not all in chronological order (some are, some aren't).
I don't know if this is a bug in the program or there is something else I need to do to assure the pictures are imported in exact chronological order (as taken by the camera).

View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing PSE9, Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit.
I just changed the dates on 2 of my photos and noticed that the 2 pictures do not re-order themselves in the correct date sequence.
The 2 photos are dated Oct 14, 1983. However they appear between my Oct 16 and Oct 15 photos. I have other photos dated Oct 14 that do correctly appear before the Oct 15 photos.
Why would these 2 photos be separated from the other Oct 14 photos?
With my old 10 elements I could upload directly from my camera into the organizer, with 12 it won't. I have to get each picture from a different folder, edit it, then save to another folder......

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis should be an easy task and I am familiar with editing a photo taken from the organizer and then returning it to an album or folder. My problem is with a photo sent to me as an attachment to an email in another program (often Picasa). This photo can be opened in Elements Editor and worked with in the usual fashion but I am stumped on how to then move it in my Organizer and appropriate folder or album.
