View 1 RepliesI wish to reset the order of an album containing many photographs. The current album order is somewhat random. I'd like to rest the album order to date/time order as the first stage to sorting the photos as I want them, which is not strict date/time order. How can I do this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedHow can I import photos into Organizer in the same order as they are in my files?
View 3 Replies View Relatedthe organizer doesn't present thumbnails in alphabetical order which is crucial for my business as everything I do is based on a running number. There fore I like to suggest to Adobe to create a patch where this problem is fixed. Its a shame that Elements 11 doesn't contain this function as it has any way been improved in so many other ways.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI take high school sports photos using a Canon 7D camera, that can take about 9 pictures per second, which is great for capturing events. I've noticed with several versions of Photoshop Elements (9 &11), on Win 7 Pro 32 AND Win 7 Pro 64 versions (on multiple computers) that when I use Get Photos & Videos|From Camera or Card Reader, then in the photo downloader dialog box, use the Rename Files option, that my picture files get renamed in jumbled fashion. Not all pictures are jumbled, but many. If I have files on my Canon such as DIG001.jpg, DIG002.jpg, DIG003.jpg, DIG004.jpg, they may be renamed as RenameFilename001.jpg (which is acutally DIG001.jpg), RenameFilename002.jpg (which is actually DIG003.jpg), RenameFilename003.jpg (which is actually DIG002.jpg), RenameFilename004.jpg (which is actually DIG004.jpg) - in this case original picture files 2 & 3 have been reversed. This is very confusing when reviewing a photo sequence that is renamed into an out of chronological order sequence (i.e. ball is hiked, ball is caught by receiver, ball is kicked, receiver runs with caught ball).Â
Â
I have also confirmed that there is nothing wrong with the Canon 7D camera by taking high speed pictures of a video which is displaying video frame numbers. I can confirm that the files as stored in the camera are in the direct chronological order as taken (i. e. 001, 002, 003, 004, etc.). When I then download these pictures from the camera using Photoshop Elements 11, they are not all in chronological order (some are, some aren't).
Â
I don't know if this is a bug in the program or there is something else I need to do to assure the pictures are imported in exact chronological order (as taken by the camera).
In Photoshop Elements Organizer, how do you change the slide order in a slide show?
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe default sort for the Photo Downloader seems be by date and time. I recently purchased a camera the does up to 10 fps and the Downloader does not seems to have resolution to sort the micro-second or even second. I batch download the images and also do a rename of the files in this format yyyymmdd-###. I am finding my action sequences are all out of order. What I really just need the Downloader to do is sort by sequential camera number just like it comes out of the camera. Then all the images would be renamed in the right order. I tried modifying the XML settings file but that was no success.Â

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I open an image in 'edit', the reds become much more saturated than when it was viewed in the organizer. The amount of red saturation is abnormal and the photo remains this way afterwards, even when viewed in the organizer or opened with other software. Why is this happening and how do I stop this from happening?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do I transfer the entire organizer of Elements 9 to the empty organizer in Elements 12? By the way, Elements 9 is so defective, it will not even let me back up my organizer in 9. The 9 organizer would let me select a photo, bring it into the editor, print it and then it would crash... then I had to start all over again... the darn thing crashes as it was prone to problems that adobe ignored. Is it better to just re-load all the photos from a fresh folder that is on my desktop? There are 5,000 !
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using PE9. Every time I go to the Organizer (even after switching to another program briefly) the Update box appears, searching Watched Folders for new pics. It always finds them, frequently the same, imports them and then tells me they're already in the Organizer. During this process, which may last 5-15 minutes, I can't use the program.Â
View 1 Replies View RelatedI went into Windows 7 Picture Manager and annotated the images with a number and a short description. This gets them into the order that I want. When I imported them into a newly acquired Elements 11, the program put them into DATE order. How can I get the sequence into the order that I WANT, ie, by image name, something that W7PM does quite happily?

View 1 Replies View Relatedhow should I size a photograph to attach it in sensible proportions to an e-mail when using Elements 11? In Elements 9 I set the dpi at 72 and then the longest length at 1024mm.  he shortest length was set automatically by the programme. Elements 11 doesn't allow me to do this. I've tried starting off with 72 dpi but as soon as I enter the longest length the dpi changes. This did not happen with E9 and in E9 the size of the attachment was measured in KB's but with E11 I finish up with quite large MB sizes.Â

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble figuring out how to use layers to edit digital photographs. Based on the online tutorials I've viewed, I'm under the impression that in order to edit parts of a photograph without affecting the original background image, I am supposed to create a layer for each set of edits I want to make and then merge these layers together to form a complete edited image with all the touch ups I want to make. I am also under the impression that any edits I make to the layers I create should not be showing up in the original background image, otherwise I have no way of comparing the original to the edited parts of the image to see if everything looks the way I want. Is there any way to make edits to image layers without these changes showing up in the original image and if so, how do I do it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use photoshop elements 10 with the organizer as my photo catalog. I have deleted my photos off my iphone. I want to get a selet few of the photographs back onto my phone. I thought the easiest way would be to use iphoto with itunes. I don't want to email myself each individual photograph back to myself. My filing system is as following tree
Â
Pictures/photoshop/Each year I have take photographs/Month I have taken photographs/
Â
itunes does not recongize all the sub folders so I would have to download the whole catalog into my iphone.
Â
Prefer this method would be to make up an iphone album in the organizer and just have these photos downloaded to my phone.
Â
Even if I did this system, however, the mac version of photoshop elements does not let you export photos to create a folder in my system for itunes to syn with.
Change the order of layers I have created. So they sit on top of each other, in a different order.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I upload new photos to an existing album they displayed after existing photos. I need new photos to be displayed before existing photos. View 2 Replies View RelatedBy default Adobe Photoshop creates new layers on top of the current layer. In the Western languages we read from top to bottom and left to right. So when I start creating a web site in Photoshop I start from top to bottom as well. However Photoshop creates the new layer above the current, which is the opposite of what I would like to do. I need Photoshop to create new layers below the current layer. I know by holding CTRL/COMMAND and clicking the NEW LAYER icon, will do what I need. However if I do CTRL+J to jump/duplicate the current layer, or select a layer and ALT+DRAG again to duplicate it, again it puts the new layers in top. Is there a way to reverse the default order Photoshop places layers? If not, I suggest that to Adobe implement an option in the general settings for Photoshop. Flash for example had similar option to read/place layers from top to bottom or bottom to top.
