I use Adobe Elements 12 Organizer on Macbook Pro. When I open Organizer, the window is too large, and the top and bottom are hidden behind the Mac menus so they are not accessible. I can´t reach the top menu, and can´t resize the window, or move it around on the screen.

Is there a cache issue?
Can I clear it?
I can see a preview of the file on the bottom of the window, but no thumbnails.
.jpg images from wither the same camera or another camera display fine.
I am using an iMac with up to date software. I import photos from my SD card. It creates a file in "my folders" but image does not appear in organizer window. I have tried restarting the computer as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the application.
The only files that appear under "Media" are the music files. There are 8 other pre-installed folders (animals, flowers, holidays,etc) but highlighting them does nothing.
Not sure how this happened, but the top of my Elements 11 Organizer screen is off of the top of my desktop screen (OS Mavericks). I cannot resize or get to the minimize button to fix. I am stuck only seeing the bottom of the Organizer Screen. Organizer (which I use VERY OFTEN) is renedered useless until I can get a resolution to this.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis morning (10/25/12) after booted my system I had a notification that there was a set of updates to my Photoshop CS6 product set. I went ahead a did the updates which installed successfully. A few minutes later I started up Photoshop Elements 10. The start-up of PSE 10 appeared normal at first, but there was a lot of hard disk activity and the Organizer window would not respond when I tried to move the sliders. I started up Task Manager and could see that PSE 10 was continuing to use processor time. I killed PSE 10 and restarted it. I decided to let it run and so far it's been doing something for over 30 minutes. From time to time the window will flash and occasionally I get an hourglass icon to display over the window. I'm not able to move the window or shrink it. I guess I'll just let it run to see if it will ever become operational. My catalog has entries for about 40,000 images so I'm wondering if the Adobe update affected something in the catalog, although the update did not seem to include anything for PSE. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit edition with all the latest Microsoft updates.

Or, can I enlarge the size of the thumbnail display area without enlarging the size of the thumbnails? (Which means, I suppose, being able to specify what size I want the thumbnails displayed.)

By the way, Elements 9 is so defective, it will not even let me back up my organizer in 9. The 9 organizer would let me select a photo, bring it into the editor, print it and then it would crash... then I had to start all over again... the darn thing crashes as it was prone to problems that adobe ignored. Is it better to just re-load all the photos from a fresh folder that is on my desktop? There are 5,000 !
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using PE9. Every time I go to the Organizer (even after switching to another program briefly) the Update box appears, searching Watched Folders for new pics. It always finds them, frequently the same, imports them and then tells me they're already in the Organizer. During this process, which may last 5-15 minutes, I can't use the program.

I'm really happy that I'm able to open them in Paint.NET.
But because of the amount of layers it is sometimes difficult to figure out which detail is on which layer.
And to switch off layers up to the point that only the layer in question is left is little bit painful.
Proposal:
Add an additional button at the bottom of the layers window.
If the button is selected then only the active layer is visible in the main window and not a merge of the visible layers.
You may then activate one layer after the other to check the content.
Maybe if the button is selected then this could overwrite the visiblity attribute of the layer temporary.
How do I control which colors appear in the color line that scroll across the bottom of the window. The only colors that currently appear are shades of reds/purples and yellows/greens. If I scroll across from left to right the same colors just keep repeating themselves. There are no shades of gray or blue. Can I somehow preset the colors that appear or do I have no control over what colors scroll across the bottom.

At the bottom of the image window are tips for using whatever tool one is currently using. Unfortunately, these tips are TINY! I can barely see them! Is there any way to increase their size via GIMP preferences?
Note that I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to editing program code so if this is required I will need specific step by step instructions.
EDIT: Additionally, I've noticed that image windows always stay behind the toolbox and layer windows. Is there any way to reverse the ordering? (So that image windows can move in front of the toolbox/layer window?) With multiple image windows open on a small screen I need all the space I can get.
I lost the text window that is normally docked on the bottom of the AC screen. I searched and found that F2 brings it up, but I can't find how to have it permanently docked in the bottom left hand corner, where it normally resides. I'm using AutoCad 2002.

I extensively use tab to go to full screen for optimal viewing conditions, and I also used alt+key combinations to access the menus via keyboard and edit while in full screen. CS6 no longer allows me to do this. Is this a new limitation of CS6? Is there a way to make ALT+key menu access work again? since the tab fullscreen view is something I use very very often for undistracted analysis of my work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOnce I had completed working on a project in PSE9, I 'saved as' my work.
I then closed the program and went to re-open the file however, the file appears with the extension 'File' and is un-accessible in all of the photo viewing software I have available. The file is however, still a large file - 85MB - which would suggest all of the file information is still in-tact.
I tried opening the file in several different programs, I've tried re-nameing the file, opeing the file properties to change the file type, backing up the file then restarting the computer and program. So far nothing has worked.
Win 8.1 64 bit A Toshiba Satellite laptop, LR 5.3. When I try to export I get a window without export buttons at the bottom to do the export. Further if I try to resize the export window the export window disappears and LR freezes requiring to ctrl/alt/del to close it. I cannot export anything to HD or email, etc.
I was in a class last night where everyone had Macs and the buttons appeared on their versions and worked fine. Totally repeatable. I can supply screen shots.
Makes LR totally useless.
When I print from Elements 11, I get a small white border on bottom and right of picture (should be borderless).If I print from another source e.g. iPhone, I do not get this border. How can I eliminate border in Elements 11?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAt the bottom of the Organizer screens it always says "972 items dated etc". But then depending on something I do, possibly with tags, it sometimes shows "36 items not shown" for a total of 1008. Note the View does not show any hidden files. One thing I noticed is when I put just one photo in an album and click on the album it will say "1 item found 1007 items not found for a total of 1008.
What concerns me most is that I have 36 photos floating around somewhere that I can't see.
Lost the action bar on bottom of the screen totally and the information that used to oocupy a column on the left. This situation makes it impossible to switch to the Editor.
When I start from the Editor screen all is normal. I already re-installed the program without resolving the problem.
Assistance is needed to restorew to the original installation
I am running Corel x4, and have a floating colour palette docker that has 'slipped' off screen. Because I cant access/reach the title bar, I cannot redock or move it. I have tried closing the program & restarting, even in Corel x4 default Workspace, but when I open the program the docker is still partially off screen...

replacing the preferences file (com.adobe.Lightroom[VERSION#].plist) and deleting my user created slideshow templates
It (organizer) and Photoshop make me force quit when trying to sign in as well.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy is it when i drag one image from the bottom panel over to another picture(solid color) i will only get 50% of the image and not the full image. Same thing when i copy and paste that image over the gray solid colored image also i will get only 50% of the image. The original image of the cat(full view) is about 24.79% and picture is 11.733 x 15.644 in size. the other image (solid color) is at 43.63% or 6.667 x 8.889". size is in inches. Do i have to resize the images and if so how as i am a stupie in this matter. The images are aligned side by side on the main panel or display.I am trying to place the cat over the gray background image and with a layer mask delete the present baackground of the cat to uncover the gray of the bottom layer.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to import a AVI file (its not DV) into VS but it comes up with the error message "xxx file is inaccessible" followed by the message "This file cannot be added to the project due to unknown file format or not enough memory or copyright".
I tried to play it in Windows Media Player but it came up with an error message about missing the required Codec. I installed the required codec (using MediaInfo advice) and Windows Media player can now play the file but VS still can't import it. The video stream of the AVI file is MPEG-4 (DivX 5). I would have thought that once I installed the correct codec for the Windows Media Player that VS should work with that file format?
