The Organizer is not displaying some of my pictures. Says "File size is too large", but the picture is only 9.3 mb. I need to view the picture(s) and call them up to edit etc.
View 5 RepliesI have installed Elements 12 and successfully indexed my media files and performed facial recognition, however now in the organiser, not all files are displaying. Some are and others come up with an image like a broken link (See image). All the photos are fine (not corrupted) and can be viewed by other media viewers.

Unfortunately, all the photos are being displayed twice - once within 'Pictures' and once within 'Macintosh HD'>' Users'>' Amy'>'Pictures'. I would like the photos to appear only once so that I know which set I am working from.

I just changed the dates on 2 of my photos and noticed that the 2 pictures do not re-order themselves in the correct date sequence.
The 2 photos are dated Oct 14, 1983. However they appear between my Oct 16 and Oct 15 photos. I have other photos dated Oct 14 that do correctly appear before the Oct 15 photos.
Why would these 2 photos be separated from the other Oct 14 photos?
With my old 10 elements I could upload directly from my camera into the organizer, with 12 it won't. I have to get each picture from a different folder, edit it, then save to another folder......

By the way, Elements 9 is so defective, it will not even let me back up my organizer in 9. The 9 organizer would let me select a photo, bring it into the editor, print it and then it would crash... then I had to start all over again... the darn thing crashes as it was prone to problems that adobe ignored. Is it better to just re-load all the photos from a fresh folder that is on my desktop? There are 5,000 !

It always finds them, frequently the same, imports them and then tells me they're already in the Organizer. During this process, which may last 5-15 minutes, I can't use the program.

When I go to Elements organizer, a little box comes up saying "restoring people recognition data". It shows that it has run to 22% but then stops and I have to close out the photoshop program because I can't do anything else with it.This is a brand new, expensive, program. I've had Adobe Photoshop 8 since it first came out and had no problem. I see by the chat line that the Organizer (Adobe 12) has had problems since 2009....
