Photoshop Elements :: Making A Collage And Copying To Flash Drive?
Dec 10, 2012
I have photoshop 9 and am making a collage of my grandkids for calendars. I am trying to copy it to a flash drive, but it copies the whole organizer. What do I do?
Have just created a slide show on elements 11 it has 80 photos and music tried to save it to a 8GB USB flash drive but it will not except it. Will down load 9% then it tells me that i have to created a WMV file.
How i can get more graphic into the graphic area as i have tried to import a clip art but doesn't work. Is there as site where i can download the graphics.
I just spent about 2 weeks getting names of people at my granddaughters wedding and adding to the captions along with place picture was taken and date.
I just copied and pasted them from adobe photoshop elements 10 to a flash drive. However, no captions. How do i do that?????
Able to load Elements 12, standard or premiere, on to a Samsung Note 10.1 tablet? Also, is there a way to move files from the tablet to a USB flash drive without using the cloud?
Elements11: Trying to make a photo collage, but get the message : "Could not complete your request because the file was not a valid frame file". What does that mean? I follow the instructions given how to make a collage, but it comes to a halt when I try to import the pictures to the collage.
I transferred my LR3 files from my WD hard drive to my new Lacie Thunderbolt drive and now I can only get the preview and it says the file is missing. Is there a setting I need to change that I am not aware of?
I have an internal expresscard 16 GB flash drive and Photoshop doesn't see it. So I can't select it as a scratch disk. Is there a workaround to get PSCS3 to see this drive? or did I just waste my money?
I am trying to make a collage which will be printed(=300 DPI) on A3(420 × 297 mm) sized paper. The images I want to take elements from for my collage are all different in size and DPI. When these elements come together they should be similar in size in order to create a new believable scene. 1 element can't be absurdly large in relation to another.
So what I did for my first image (size of 3456 × 2304 pixels, a print-size of 1219,20 × 812,80 mm and DPI 72 × 72) was increase the DPI to 600 in order to obtain a smaller printsize - reducing it to 146,30 × 97,54 mm - cut-out the elements I need and import them into my A3 document. This gave me the size I need for my elements.
However when I try to take elements out of the second image (size of 1500 × 1125 pixels, a print-size of 211,67 × 158,75 mm and DPI 180 × 180) - which I leave unchanged because 211,67 × 158,75 mm is about the size I need for the elements - and place them into the A3 document they are too small. Same story for the third image (size of 2400 × 1600 pixels, a print-size of 304,80 × 203,20 mm and DPI 200 × 200)
I am designing simple graphics work for a mouse mat and am trying to transfer a logo which I created in Macromedia Flash MX 2004. Now I can export this file in whatever formats i want but the problem arises when I copy the image into Photoshop 7.0. As the [printing company has specifically asked for a PSD file I have to obviously design something in Photoshop. So when I copy the logo across to photoshop as a JPG, Tiff, GIf or whatever file format, it copies across perfectly. But the problem occurs when i try to resive the image to half the original size. It becomes extremely pixelated.
There is a new option on X6 to download an edited video to an SD card. How do I download to a USB Flash Drive? Is it the same option or is there a better way.
Why Lightroom does not support most simple function like a COPY? I have pictures in RAW format and need to copy it on usb drive and fail there no COPY only export. Another problem, there no PNG export. Every program I know reads and saves as PNG. Lightroom is the frist one that does not do it ...
Or there any way to bypass that ridiculous limitation without changing a program?
Importing files to a flash drive-when I hit import it says files are missing, I`m looking at the files in LR and my Windows picture folder, The names match, already checked that!
I'm exporting photos from LR3 via a user export preset (from library: file, export with preset, user preset...) to a flash drive for viewing on a photo frame. It exported 4 photos just fine and now additional files are not being written. I'm am exporting one at a time to control the order they are read on the frame. I use Windows XP and the flash drive is an 8gb newly formatted on the computer. I've removed the drive (yes, safely) and tried numerous times with several other photos from the same folder. It gives me an "export results" message telling me that the file could not be written but no other explanation or info. All photos are jpegs being saved as jpegs and all have usual post processing changes.
I want to create a collage of small pictures. I would like some of the pictures to be rotated, but not at 90 deg or 180 - at smaller angles off normal. I do not see how to rotate an image by a preselected angle, or rotate on the fly.
As a second question, for the pictures I want to make the background [usually a solid color, white] transparent so I can overlay one object with another.
How do I make just the background fully transparent, without affecting an object?
I am making a collage for a friend. I have all the pictures I want that I edited from photoshop and brought into illustator. I made an outline of a buffalo (he is from buffalo) using the pen tool. I filled it in with pictures but i need to know how to trim away the remainders of the pictures that go past the buffalo outline. Basically i need to delete everything that is outside the vector buffalo, but i am having a terrible time figuring this out. Im not sure if i need the trim away tool, draw inside or something else.
I created a folder on my flash drive. I'm trying to use Batch Process to copy the files to the drive. I'm not adding a script. The name of the new folder comes up in the dialogue box, but when I click on the start button I get a notice that the file already exits and do I want to overwrite it. I click on yes. All the photos are then copied, but when I go to the new folder in my flash drive it's empty.
I'm following the instructions in Diane Koers book on PSP X4.
Also, I can't seem to use Batch Process to save my JPEGs and TIFFs. Is it possible to do this.
I need to copy my edited photos to a flash drive to play on our photo frame. I don't want to move them, just copy them and they need to be JPGs for the frame. I would prefer to keep the files full size rather than dumb them down for e-mail. What are my options? I have thousands of photos in LR and now I'm concerned that LR won't do the job for me.
In the Smart Collections, there is an entry for "Last 30 Days".Those images are scattered all over my hard drives now.I'd like to back up the "recent images" to a specific external hard drive, at least until I get them copied onto the off premise external hard drives.
I need a command in LR3 that lets me make a COPY of the recent raw files onto the drive, vs move the images to folders.
I'm trying to find the best way to plan my workflow while I'm on the road. While I'm away from home, I will be uploading and editing photos to my laptop in LR and then when I'm home, I would like to store the files on my external harddrive, so that I don't eat up so much space on my computer. Would I need to make two libraries for this? One for temporarily holding the images, and then a main one for everything on my external harddrive? How do I go about copying the metadate or edits that I make to each photo to my external drive?
I have a small business doing canvas stretch pictures. A client of mine has asked me to do a collage of 27 photos and I used Shape Collage to do so. She wanted a collage with all the photos in a regulated format. That is Avg.Angle zero degrees, Max. Angle zero degrees, Offset X zero and Offset Y zero. After creating the collage I saved it as a PSd file. So Far So good. I then opened Gimp 2.8.4 and was quite confused as the latest program appearance is nothing like the tutorials and images on the net. However I was able to open the image of the collage by importing the psd file. I was also able to edit the photos and reposition them according to her wishes. I then saved the file as a psd. She wanted to see a jpeg copy of the collage as she does not have photoshop on her pc. In order to show her I had to flatten the psd and then save it in photoshop to a jpeg format. She now wants me to add one more photo to the existing collage.
Using Elements 11 - My photos are taking over my hard-drive and I want to safely transfer all my photos and videos to an external hard-drive. How do I do it without loosing info and/or later having to re-connect thousands of pictures?
I'd like to create some simple collages but cannot afford the full-blown Photoshop right now. Will Elements allow me to create collages? If so, is there anything that I won't be able to do that I could do (as it relates to collage work) with the full edition?
