View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm exporting photos from LR3 via a user export preset (from library: file, export with preset, user preset...) to a flash drive for viewing on a photo frame. It exported 4 photos just fine and now additional files are not being written. I'm am exporting one at a time to control the order they are read on the frame. I use Windows XP and the flash drive is an 8gb newly formatted on the computer. I've removed the drive (yes, safely) and tried numerous times with several other photos from the same folder. It gives me an "export results" message telling me that the file could not be written but no other explanation or info. All photos are jpegs being saved as jpegs and all have usual post processing changes.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using the trial version of CS5 (probably going to upgrade at the end of the trial), and I've only found one thing about it that I don't like more than CS3. This is VERY VERY annoying, and I'm not sure if it's a glitch, or just a preference that needs to be reset:
When using the move tool, I will move something and it will just snap back to where it originally was. When it snaps back, it might move a few pixels over in the direction I was dragging, but it is definitely not moving to where I want it to go. The only way to get things to move the way I want to is by Free Transform...but it's annoying, when you're trying to design a layout, to have to free transform every element you want to move, first.
I'm guessing that this is a glitch because sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't...it's pretty random. I've tried turning Snap on and off, and nothing changes.
I have the majority of my photos located on an external drive. Recently after upgrading to PSE 11 I noticed that when I import photos from my sd card that they are located on my c: drive.
1) How do I safely move the files located on c: to my external drive?
2) change the default location so file will automatically be saved on the external drive?

View 1 Replies View RelatedComputer 1's hard drive crash and all programs and data were recovered professionally and sent to me on an External Hard Drive. Computer 1 was on Windows 7. I can fun the program off of the External Hard drive fine, when connected to my my new Computer. I click on the .exe file and it pulls up the catalogue as it should. All off of the recovery drive.
The new Computer, is on Windows 8.1. How do I get the Adobe Catalogues moved/copied to the new Computer?
I redownload Adobe 10 onto my new 8.1 Computer from the Adobe website. Using the new download, I was able to open the Catalogue on the External Drive (F). Cannot find a way to "relocate" the Catalogue to the new computer. The pictures have already been copied to the new computer.
My 128 Patriot Flash drive is not seen as potential scratch disk by CS5. I reformatted it as exFAT and then as NTFS but still not seen by CS5.

I opened Lightroom.
Noticed there was a question mark by the photo folder I needed.
I synchronized the folders. Nada.
I rememebered I moved the images (first line ^^)
I re-imported the images from the external drive into Lightroom.
These images (other than one that was marked previously with a blue label) look completely untouched - completely original files - even though I spent hours working on them.
I am glad the images weren't deleted BUT re-doing 600 images will be a MAJOR FAIL if I can't figure out how to import the images with the settings / developments I did beforehand.

In my CS6 versions, I can see a particular drive that I've set as my primary scratch drive (I have four internal and two external drives); but I cannot see this same drive in the CC versions of PS, ID, Illus.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI created a folder on my flash drive. I'm trying to use Batch Process to copy the files to the drive. I'm not adding a script. The name of the new folder comes up in the dialogue box, but when I click on the start button I get a notice that the file already exits and do I want to overwrite it. I click on yes. All the photos are then copied, but when I go to the new folder in my flash drive it's empty.
I'm following the instructions in Diane Koers book on PSP X4.
Also, I can't seem to use Batch Process to save my JPEGs and TIFFs. Is it possible to do this.
