View 6 Replies View RelatedMy computer was infected this week by the FBI scam trojan virus. Microsoft Windows tech had no choice but to return CPU to original factory settings. I reinstalled Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and attempted to retrieve my images from Adobe online storage. Only 121 of my images reappeared, even though a status bar shows my online storage level at over 7GB. Now when I open PSE9, if I click on "Organize," the program either immediately closes or I get an error message that says "the requested operation could not be completed because the catalog is currently locked by another process."
I've tried restarting my computer and even shutting down my computer, but still no luck. I can't figure out "other process" could be locking out the catalog.

So, I have a MASTER.dvb project which contains a library of images, one of which is called LOGO.
In TITLEBLOCK.dvb I want to refer to that LOGO image and place it in my userform.
When everything was together I used LogoTB.Picture = Library.LOGO.Picture.
How do I modify this? I tried LogoTB.Picture = MASTER!Library.LOGO.Picture and variations thereof but can't get it to work.

Like Rating, comments, ICC profiles, Guides and Slices, EXIF, RAW, Camera data ... etc.. etc.. I would like to strip all the data from my images that I use as album art for my Media Center..
I just want an Image and nothing else.
So here's the problem. I managed to delete a photo from my digital camera. Now I need it back. I recovered the file, but strangely, it's not actually recovered.
Now, I know file recovery is hit and miss, and since this was a photo from the camera itself (not a memory card), things get more complicated. Anyway, I manged to get back the photo...sort of.
The file I now have is 160x120, instead of the 3040x2288 it should be. Now, if this was an actual thumbnail, I would expect the file size to be pretty small. Instead, this little 160x120 image is 2.16MB. This leads me to belive that somehow I can get the real photo (or at least something better than the little image) back from the file. There has to be a reason for that much extra data, right?
Does anybody know how to do this? I figured Photoshop might have some advanced sort of raw file reading or some sort of rebuilding/recovery. Alternatively, someone could point me to a good recovery program (or even some other way to do this).
If it helps, the camera that the file came from is an HP Photosmart M627.
I have a large number of images for which I need to collect various data points that photoshop and its plugins produces (i.e., histogram RGB mean, SD, etc.). I'm looking for a way to write this data to a *.dat or *.txt type file from automated manipulations. The structure would need to include the image filename, and all the values captured that are associated with the image.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAs I understand it, the EXIF that the camera captures has all of the details about when the picture was taken. Including time picture taken, camera settings & model number, if flash fired or not etc,etc. Some cameras have much more data than others & this can include GPS location & perhaps even more that I'm unaware of.
When I use PSE & add tags I have the option of having the EXIF data on each individual photo file overwritten or added to what it had originally. Is this correct?
What if any other programs read this data, Windows perhaps? And & if so how is this done? Can any other programs make use of this data? For instance if I were to export a reduced size copy of one of my picture & emailed it to someone are they likely to be able to see this data?
When I add location data to my JPG images, that data is not saved with the picture. Viewing the picture in OneDrive does not show the location, it only shows in Photoshop Elements Organizer. How do I get that data into the file?
