I'm trying to learn how to rotate a .jpeg photo without it losing proportion. I have a photo of a Santa that I carved and took the photo with the camera turned 90°. I'd like to rotate the photo so I can use it as an Avatar on a forum I'm in. However, when I rotate the photo 90° the image becomes narrower and longer. I'd like to retain the original proportion but don't know how to do this.
Once I installed windows 7, while I WAS using PSE 9, I had the tiny font problem. I stopped using PSE for 2 years. I just installed PSE 11. Though better, the Font is still way smaller than I would like. Maybe it's just tougher for seniors? Can they not make the font adjustable? I was told there is no way to increase the size of the font?

In the finished gallery the thumbnails and large photos are rotated. When I open the images in Photoshop they are correct and in the vertical position. Any advice on reverting it back to the way it is supposed to be? I've looked through all the tabs and can't find where I might have accidently changed something to have caused this.
I did notice that when I just try to make a web gallery of only a few images they appear correct.
I am working with LR4. How can I rotate a verticallt placed photo image to a horizontally place image within a cell? I know how to "rotate" a cell and I don't want to just "flip" the image.

I'm trying to rotate a small object in Paint. When I use the rotate toolbar to enter the angle I need, the object rotates just like I want. Then I hit the apply button and some pretty heavy handed anti-aliasing is applied and the object is essentially destroyed. I've been using Paint for quite a long time so I figured there must be an option to turn this off. I can't find one. I even added the anti-aliasing button to the rotate toolbar and turned it off but that doesn't make any difference.
Essentially, what I want when I rotate an object is the chunky, pixelated preview, not the final anti-aliased so much you can't tell what it even is anymore final product.
At this point, I'm going to have to resort to rotating the object and taking a screenshot of the preview and using that instead of the mess that the final result is.
I have a colleague who has counciled me that sometimes it makes sense to create mass-elements for complicated gabled roof elements. Â Since I am pretty darn new to Revit, I am bringing in some old 2D dwg information (plans and elevations) and I'm trying to use this information to generate an in-place mass that is my roof. Â I'm essentially extruding gabled roof information from this geometry. Â So far so good. Â But when I try to rotate this information I find the program unwilling to do this. Â I have a suspicion this has something to do with the fact this in-place mass is either being hosted by the intitial horiontal working plane, or it is "pinned" to something I don't want it to be pinned to. View 1 Replies View RelatedI did use the scissors and eraser tool to cutout unwanted background, and now I have an image I want to save and copy to another photo. The problem is that Elements 11 won't let me open up another photo at the same time, or let me copy the selected image to clipboard to paste on a different photo.Â
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have PSE 11 and I am creating a Christmas theme with various pictures. I have my main photo with 6 layers including a tree and figures which I can move independantly and the background is the checkerboard as the main layers are turned off with only my selections showing. I also have another photo where I have selected part of it and also turned off the main layers leaving a small part with checkered background. When I have the main photo loaded and drag the other one from the photo bin with the move tool, nothing appears on the main picture. I have already dragged the Christmas tree in the same way and that worked. By the way, all the files are .PSD.

identified the object in photo 1, e.g by using the lasso

stored it by edit/copy (or strg/c)

edit/insert (or strg/v)

object appears in photo 2, but without the frame it was supposed to come with - and by which I could enlarge / minimize / shift it....

I have Photoshop Elements 10 which I work with sparingly. I would like to outline a section of the photo (a face) and somehow select it to be the whole photo - in other words to get rid of all background elements. I can outline the area with lasso, but do not know how to just save that area. When I save, the whole original photo is saved. I also tried the magic extractor, which really worked to make just the face and crop everthing else out, but it has a white background the same size as the original photo, which means it is essentially a reactangle with a face in it. I am trying to just get the face so I can paste it into a document, sort of like when people put heads on fake bodies. This is for a church newsletter. I have done this with my old Picture It software, but that was on my old computer. I think I should be able to do this with all the gadgets Photo Shop has, but I must be missing something.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI cannot access my fonts menu. The drop down menu is blank box and snaps shut. I also have trouble with "save as" and file format...ie save as jpg...the drop down quickly snaps shut, I can often catch it after several tries but seriously lol.
These issues have something to do with user settings...I made a secondary account and the program works fine but changing between accounts is not the best solution. Where/what I need to look at in user settings ?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just purchased, downloaded and installed PSE 12. I am running Windows 7. Everything seems to be working fine. My question is this: Why are the titles in tlhe menu bar (task bar?) at the top so small? When you actually pull down the menu it is fine but the titles (file, edit, image, filters etc) are extremely small and very hard to see. Also the path selection tool is just a dot (actually two tiny dots) and not the normal cursor arrow.
