Dec 31, 2013I have just installed elements 12 on my Lenovo Ultrabook which is running windows 8 - the icons and menus are so small I need a magnifying glass to read them.

Photoshop Elements :: Why Do File Sizes Change / When Use Process Multiple Images To Add Watermarks
Feb 22, 2014I'm using Elements 11. In order to add watermarks to many JPG pics at once, I use the function "Process Multiple Files".
I select a source folder and a destination folder, and adds a three digit serial number to each file. I do NOT tick the checkbox marked "Change picture size". After that I define the watermark I want printed on my pics and hits OK. All the files in the source folder are processed and saved, with a new name in the destination folder. Fair and square.
But. The file size of the new file is heavily reduced, compared to the original. It goes from 10 MB down to 500 KB (in general). Why is that? Is there any way I can prevent it?

Sep 8, 2012What is the proper way to change the color of a social media icon like this one. I have no trouble making a selection, but I'm embarassed to say that I don't know what to do after that. I've tried adjusting the hue/saturation, but important detail is lost, and (for example) if I was trying to make the image #ff0000 red, it wouldn't really be true in color with a hue/saturation adjustment. I know this image is not the best quality, but something tells me that I need to make and selection, then create a new layer.. but as a newbie I'm stumped. Oh, that is - a newbie still using Elements 8.

Sep 18, 2012For a large project our organization is busy with, we are going to need to work with several sizes of icons, and the icons' names will need to be generated programatically by the back-end of our our system.
The icons are going to be in these sizes:
512 x 512256 x 256128 x 12864 x 6432 x 3224 x 2416 x 16
I want to create a resize action will generate icons in the proper size with unique names.
For example:
images/icon-512-size-king.png
images/icon-256-size-king.png
images/icon-128-size-king.png
images/icon-64-size-king.png
images/icon-32-size-king.png
images/icon-24-size-king.png
images/icon-16-size-king.png
The resizing part is simple - it's the naming that I'm not sure about!

Oct 18, 2012Just getting used to elements 11 - the tilt shift in the guided edit does not change when I click on the icon, then click and drag. I am sure I am following instructions correctly, but nothing changes when I try to rezone the area I wish to have showing without blur. I could do in operation in the expert mode, but it should work in guided edit.

So far I have found nothing that allows me to Modify Text."To Replace Existing Dimension Text With Alternate Text" it says to "Click Modify menu > Object >Text >Edit." The only Modify menu I can find is the Modify menu at the top showing 12 icons then it's drop down showing 14 more icons. There is no Object icon in that menu. how to Modify Text in LT2013.
