Photoshop Elements :: Unable To Set Outlook As Email Client In 10
May 27, 2013
Am running PSE10, fully patched and updated, on Win 7. My default email client on the machine is Outlook, not sure if it's 2010 or 2013 (Microsoft has made it remarkably difficult to find out this simple fact - About apparently no longer works that way...) but I think it's 2013. Outlook works fine for all normal uses. I believe Outlook was installed after PSE10.
I recently had my first opportunity to use the Sharing options, and discovered the program simply crashes when I attempt to do a Photo Mail - which I've done often in the past with other versions of PSE but not so much with 10.
In the PSE10 preferences, I've discovered the only option for Email clients appears to be Adobe Email Service - Outlook is not listed. There is no "refresh list" option.
[URL], which seems to provide a solution involving a registry hack, if one wants to use Windows Live Mail. Apparently Win 7 does not store a default email client where PSE10 is expecting to find it. I have no problem with registry changes, however I don't want Windows Live Mail. I have Outlook, I'd like to use Outlook.
I would think there would be some similar registry hack for Outlook, however I have not been able to find it. I could probably work it out by looking at the keys entered in this hack and trial and error, but would prefer to just know what works and do that...
The machine I use has other logins, will I need to apply that fix to these additional logins separately as well?
I have recently installed Photoshop Elements 11 on a new Windows 7 64 bit PC.
When I try and send an attachment by email (Share - File Attachment) then my Outlook 2010 client is missing from the list of Email Client options. I only see the Adobe service and Windows Live Mail.
Is there a way of getting Elements 11 to recognise that I have Outlook 2010 installed ?
Have Adobe photoshop elements 8. Have tried every thing that's called for, but can not get my pictures into the Microsoft Outlook. The program still want me to go to Internet control panel to make the change and I've done that.
PSE 12, Windows 8.1. It would be awesome to be able to just have a SEND TO Email client from within the program, but forcing us to use Microsoft's horrible email program is not satisfactory. I'm sure I'll just have to end up doing it the hard way, saving the file, open a new email client message, attach the photo and SEND, but it shouldn't be necessary. I always use Thunderbird for all my email and don't wish to change. I never could get Microsofts Email to work with all my email programs. Why wouldn't Adobe configure such an important and often used option for the user to use?
I am running windows xp and installed photoshop elements 11. In elements organizer I can't select an email client. I choose Edit/ Preferences/ Sharing and I get a popup window that says loading.
Trying to send photo by email attachment or photo email.
Had previously done the verification code thing and got the code and have been sending pics by photo email.Have got PS10 loaded to my Desk Top - main system and also my laptop .When trying now to send pics on my DeskTop I can get to the (maybe second) screen where you choose the size of the phots and then I get the Verification Code screen - which tells me that an 'initial verification code' will be emailed to the chosen email - but when I say continue, I go to the next screen of the Photo email and then when trying to send the phto email it locks up and says an unexpected error has taken place ...
I have sent some photos via the laptop but it seems to be very hit and miss at the moment. Also I have some problems opening PSE10 - When I click on the icon - I get the initial "organise or edit" screen where I choose organise - but then all that happens is this screen closes and the Organiser does not open. Most of the time I'm left with maybe shutting down my whole computer and starting up again and it works again.
I am running Photoshop Elements 5.0 on Windows 7. I receive an error message when trying to share photos using Outlook 2010. I have selected Outlook as the Client E-mail in Preferences / Sharing. I have ensured that Outlook is the defaul e-mail in Windows Internet Control Panel. This feature used to work for me before I had to re-install Elements because my computer crashed.
I previously used Elements and liked the ability to create a "photo mail." The photos would be embedded (in line) in the email rather than as attached files.
It appears this is not possible with Lightroom. I have version 4.
I am using Office 2013 64 bit with Win 8.1, and LR 5.3. When I try to export a photo to Outlook I get a shutdown message and LR 5.3 closes down. What is the solution, if any?
Their seems to be a glitch in lr5 in trying to send a photo to multiple adresses using outlook. When i add multiple adresses in the To area in lr mail box and add the subject and then send it tells me that you have to add the adresses in the adress book before sending.. But the adresses are already their. What i have done is to leave the To area blank and then send the message(photo). Outlook will come up and then you can add the adresses. Also if i just add one adress to the to area in lr mail box and hit send outlook will come up and you can add the rest of the e-mail addresses.
I originally installed trial version of Elements 11 and then purchased and installed full version. I have been working in Organizer/Elements and am unable to email photos. When I try to email, the email Adobe services comes up and when I enter my email address, it does not send a confirmation email to my email, what Adobe sends is a product advertisement that states your trial version has expired. It looks like it thinks I dont have the full version, but when I check products in MyAdobe, it shows both Elements 11/Premeire Elements as registered. It is installed on acomputer that has Windows 8...I can upload photos to Facebook from Editor without problems..
Autocad failes when i tried to directly opening a file from recieved attachment email. whereas it opens it properly when i save the files to hard disk drive.
The sharing (emailing) feature talks about using other email client but can not?I have Outlook 2013. the other option is to use the adobe email service that needs to verify the email that I am using but does not send the verification code that I need to activate the feature. I have Windows 8.

In Share - email attachments - my default email address is not recognised - it uses an old address. In preferences - sharing - email settings - I only have two choices - Windows Mail and Adobe email service - Windows Live Mail does not appear.
photoshop elements 12 - just purchased - i have followed all the corrective items
updated to chrome signed up on ravel set up email preferences to adobe have vista checked that the 'do not save encrypted pages to disc was not checked
I am not able to share photos by attachment to e-mail with Elements 11. After I select the photos, etc. it goes through with "preparing photos" and that is it. It just goes back to the calendar screen shot.
Set Outlook as Default, but still it won't go. Then tried the Adobe Email service, but it won't send verification email. I"ve have uninstalled and reinstalled PSE11 - did not change. This should not be difficult.
When trying to email pics via Adobe email for the first time, they send you a "code" ( my words ) and ask you to email it back to them so it may be verified.. My problem is that the "code" to my email is never received. Where is it? We've tried checking if there is a blocker on my computer.
Old PC died. Bought new PC, installed my Adobe Elements 6 but now I am unable to send photos by email from Adobe Elements 6 via email anymore. Using win7 and Windows Live email. I have tried uninstalling the program and re-installing.
With Photoshop 11, when I Share a photo through Email attachment I am unable to add any text to the Email. Can this be fixed? If I purchase Photoshop 12 will I eliminate this problem?
II cam unable to type a message in the email body when using Adobe Email Service.
I have my email sharing preferences in PSE 11 set to use Adobe Email Service. I successfully verified my email and I am able to send photos using this service; however, I am not able to edit the message that accompanies the photos. I can type in the address line and subject line of the email dialog box. But, I am not able to type in the body of the message. I would like to be able to write a personalized message. I believe that I was able to type a message in previous versions of PSE.
Type a custom message when using Adobe Email Service? If yes, how can I enable that feature?
I was on the Adobe website, when I saw this Black Friday deal for Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5..Upon clicking Join now, I got to the following page : From this page, I then read both the FAQ and the terms. The FAQ said the following :
So in everything I read regarding this deal, there was nothing stating that I had to be a previous owner of CS3 or above. So I placed the order with my credit card for the monthly subscription. When I received my order email (in french), the product says the following :
Votre commande en détail : Programme de photographie Photoshop (Pour les clients CS3 et versions ultérieures)
In effect, this is suggesting that it’s for clients that already had CS3 and above. My plan on the creative cloud adobe website also suggests the same. The only time I was made aware of this need to already own CS3 or above was after I placed the order.
As a result, I am not able to download Photoshop CC or Lightroom 5 from within the Creative Cloud client.I think due to this mis-information on the Adobe website as shown above, I should still be entitled to this offer.I will contact Adobe sales support to see what they can do.
I have CoreDraw X5 installed on my computer. A friend of mine e-mailed me a CorelDraw document she created. I am un able to open it. When I try to open it, CorelDraw opens but does not display the document. So the application is open and I see all the toolbars and everything but the space where I would see the document is grey. I have received CorelDraw documents by e-mail form other friends before without any problem, so it is not the e-mail that is the issue.
I have the trial version of 12. I set up the E Mail to the Adobe Mail Server. I do not use Outlook, but G Mail. I received a verification code, and put it in. it seemed to accept that. However, whenever I try to use Photo Mail or E mail attachment all I get is a small blue circle spinning. No E Mail going out.I still have 10 on my desktop and the E Mail is working perfectly.
