Just got a new computer running windows 8.1. Have installed actions many times before and they work great, but now when I install them it shows that its building content but the actions are not there.

When I follow these directions that came with the download...
Open Photoshop, go to the actions palette, on the top right of the palette,
click on the little triangle (delta) and from the menu choose “load action”.
Find where you downloaded the “HR v1.3.atn” file and click on load.
and try to open the folder I've downloaded the file into, there is nothing there. When I back out of Photoshop and go to this same folder (located in My Docs), the action is there along with all my other downloaded plugins.
How can i install Photoshop CS3 on Windows 8 - install does not complete - error message "Installer Database corrupt".Â

Rebooting my computer and re-downloading the software from the Adobe website for another clean install made no difference.
I have heard that Photoshop CS4 is not meant to be used on XP 64 but has anyone here installed it successfully? Is it working?
I am trying to install it on my XP 64 PCs and no go. One of them gets pretty far into the installation process and conks out. The other (newer, faster PC) gets this error message when trying to fire up the Installer:
File Access Denied
Both of these PCs are running AMD 64 bit MBs. The older one has 2 GB of RAM while the newer one has 8 GB of RAM.
I have photoshop 7 which I have used for years. My computer died (windows XP) and I had to buy a new one with windows 8 . I have re installed Photoshop 7 and now when I click on the Photoshop icon it begins to load then halfway through I get a message that says "You currently have Adobe Photoshop's primary scratch and windows primary paging file on the same volume which can result in reduced performance. It is recommended that you set Adobe Photoshop's primary scratch volume to be on a different volume, preferably on a different physical drive" The only option here is to press "OK" then it automaticly closes.

I contacted customer support and was told they no longer offer phone support for CS4.I know I'm going to have another issue, because this is an upgrade version and when I first installed it, I had to contact customer support because I was upgrading from an educational version.

When i try to install the update manually, for some reasons it shows not in PS. Starting Extension Manager I still have to update PS.
My Windows 7 has updates. When it does this, Photoshop will not run. I have reverted the PC back before the update and Photoshop runs fine. The only thing is that the PC will update itself unless I turn the automatic updates off. Photoshop CS2, running on Windows' 7 Home Deluxe edition.

If I run the action and do a break before it is complete, I cannot run any actions again. This is true even if a close Photoshop and then reopen it. When I try to run the action I have to restart the computer, then the actions will run.
Trying to run the default vignette action, I get a message that "feathering is not currently available." I'm wondering why I'm getting the error message and how to fix it.

This installed correctly and is running. Whenever I try to install V12 it gets right to the end and install an icon on the desktop and then just runs. Before installing CS6, I could quite happily scan photos etc via my scanner, from within Elements 8, but now when I go 'File > Get Photos and Videos > From Scanner' within Elements 8 (with Photoshop CS6 not open at the time, incidentally), I get a message saying 'Software for this device could not be launched. The device is not connected or is busy'. I would like to be able to scan from either Photoshop applications.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAll the loaded actions worked yesterday....none will play today. I can bring up yesterday's work and continue to work on the action run, however, when I closed that out and went to another project, I was unable to run any action loaded. I deleted the actions and re-entered turning off the computer after each action loaded. Still would not work. I finally uninstalled 11 and then re-installed it. Still no luck. Are ACTIONS suppose to be a preset folder? I don't have a preset Actions folder in my program files...not even after I re-installed.
