View 1 RepliesMy photoshop's installer is not mounting. I can hear the disc running in the macbook, but nothing happens. I'm using lion, and its my first time so i don't know if its the same as on snow leapord.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had the old version of Photoshop cs2. I want to put it on my new mac book pro. I was given the link

I have downloaded it but when I try to install the message says 'Installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.
I keep trying to install the trial version of Photoshop CS6 on my macbook pro (version 10.6.8) and I was able to download it fine from the download assistant. Once I tried installing it, however I kept coming up with the same error. First it says that the images couldn't be opened because of an invalid checksum, then if I opt to skip that step it comes up with a window letting me install it which I do but once it hits 44% it jumps to 99% and says installation failed due to an inauthentic certificate, saying "Adobe Genuine Software Verification Failure."
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a MACBook Pro laptop (OS X 10.8.3) and want to install the CS4 I purchased several years ago. I have the installation CD but unfortunately, there is no CD/DVD drive on the laptop. How do I install the CS4?
View 5 Replies View RelatedAs instructed by Adobe I'm working with the original CD to install this to my laptop. It goes up to installing Adobe Air, about half way through the whole installation and then stops. I have tried resetting the permissions- I'm installing in the root user account. This was what Adobe tech had me do to successfully install LightRoom 2 first and then an update. The update was more compatible apparently with Lion.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am running the latest version of CS 6 on an older (2008) 15" Mac Book Pro (OSX 10.8.2), when I'm away on assignment. The original 200GB hard drive needs to be replaced and in preparation I've cloned the complete system onto an external hard drive. I'll be replacing the original hard drive with a larger (1TB) version and can clone everything back onto the newly installed hard drive when it arrives.
But in the "test" I tried today, PS CS6 would not open. How do I go about installing my legally obtained and paid for copy of CS6 onto the new hard drive? Do I de activate the present version, then download a copy to the new hard drive and activate it that way or will that be seen as a third machine, since I have one copy on a desk top and once on the old hard drive in the Mac Book Pro. I just don't want to loose a CS6 activation?
Can I run 1 copy of CS6 on MacBook Pro (64)bit (new install) and upgrade the CS3 to CS6 on a windows vista (64)bit machine? Basicly, can I put CS6 on my two machines?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased CS6 upgrade single user (volume licensing). Currently I have a Windows desktop and a MacBook Pro. I would like to install the primary on the Windows desktop and the additional on MacBook. Am I allowed to install primary on Windows machine and secondary on Mac machine as per EULA? I am the only user.
if it is allowed as per license since I have heard that multi platform is not allowed but I couldn't see anywhere in the EULA forbidding this.
I just purchased a new MacBook Pro and would like to place my copy of Light Room on it as well as on the XP PC. I see in my list of registered products it is a "multiple" platform product.

Rebooting my computer and re-downloading the software from the Adobe website for another clean install made no difference.
I have heard that Photoshop CS4 is not meant to be used on XP 64 but has anyone here installed it successfully? Is it working?
I am trying to install it on my XP 64 PCs and no go. One of them gets pretty far into the installation process and conks out. The other (newer, faster PC) gets this error message when trying to fire up the Installer:
File Access Denied
Both of these PCs are running AMD 64 bit MBs. The older one has 2 GB of RAM while the newer one has 8 GB of RAM.
I'm using LR4.1 on both devices.
I just bought a MacBook Air as my travel device. I have a Windows laptop that I use for everyday activities and processing. I just did a shoot and imported my RAW files into a brand new catalog on the MBA. I flagged picks and did some processing (both heavy processing and light processing) on the MBA. I saved Metadata to file, ejected the external hard drive from the MBA and then hooked it up to the Windows device.
Issue #1: I cannot open the new catalog created on the MBA on my Windows device. It just fails.
Issue #2: When I simply synchronize the drive to the Windows laptop, the files do come in and the processing that I did comes in too. However, the flags do not transport. And, any adjustments I did with the adjustment brush are not available for editing on the Windows laptor. (If I "reset" it does go back to the original RAW file, but before resetting, I have no access to the adjustement brush settings on the Windows device)
I have photoshop 7 which I have used for years. My computer died (windows XP) and I had to buy a new one with windows 8 . I have re installed Photoshop 7 and now when I click on the Photoshop icon it begins to load then halfway through I get a message that says "You currently have Adobe Photoshop's primary scratch and windows primary paging file on the same volume which can result in reduced performance. It is recommended that you set Adobe Photoshop's primary scratch volume to be on a different volume, preferably on a different physical drive" The only option here is to press "OK" then it automaticly closes.

I contacted customer support and was told they no longer offer phone support for CS4.I know I'm going to have another issue, because this is an upgrade version and when I first installed it, I had to contact customer support because I was upgrading from an educational version.
when trying to update PS CS 6 the following Error-Code occurs:

When i try to install the update manually, for some reasons it shows not in PS. Starting Extension Manager I still have to update PS.
My Windows 7 has updates. When it does this, Photoshop will not run. I have reverted the PC back before the update and Photoshop runs fine. The only thing is that the PC will update itself unless I turn the automatic updates off. Photoshop CS2, running on Windows' 7 Home Deluxe edition.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I try to open Photoshop CS5 while my second monitor is plugged into my laptop (via VGA cable), it loads normally, but won't display any opened images. I get a gray background and nothing else. [URL](I can even see the tiny image preview in the navigator, but not the image itself.)
However, t'll work just fine if I open Photoshop with the second monitor disconnected and THEN plug it in, so it's not a problem with the dual monitors in general...just when first opening it. It's annoying because, if I'm working on a project and realize I have to make a quick image tweak in Photoshop, I have to unplug the monitor and then rearrange all my windows after Photoshop's done loading and I can plug it back in.
I can't seem to find any information online that specifically mentions this issue. For reference, I'm using Windows 7 on a Lenovo laptop.
Just wanted to know if there are any problems installing Adobe Photoshop CS5 in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit?
Planning to purchase a laptop that comes with the OEM license and plan to use 64-bit OS to maximize the 8GB RAM of memory. Just afraid if there are known issues for this type of installations.
I am running Snow Leopard with 8G ram on a 2009 Macbook Pro and CS6. Everytime I go to save or do a save as I just get the spinning beach ball and have to force quit PS. I do get the message PS not responding. I have reset the prefrences, have uninsalled and reinstalled CS6 but the same thing happens. I had no problems with CS5. I am running PS 13.0.4x64 bit.

Ive looked around the forums and cant seem to find a solution. I was running AutoCad on Windows 8 just fine before...
I installed a clean, fresh version on my Mac. (No previous versions were ever installed). When I open Photoshop for the first time, everything runs fine: I can open files and edit as usual. As soon as I close it and re-open many things happen:
a) I can go to open a file, but with Window>Application Frame unchecked, I cannot see the open file.
b) All other palletes go awry. I cannot change the open palletes and or edit anything.
c) If I check Window>Application Frame, everything is back to normal. No problems here.
