CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Installing On Windows XP 64bit?
Dec 14, 2012
I want to install ColorDRAW graphics X6 on an Windows 64 BIT computer.
We know that is officially not supported. But is there a workarround available ?If already tried to run in it in compatibility mode on an account with admin rights. That doesn't work.I get an error during the installation:Microsoft Visual Basic for applications 7.1 is not supported.
i'm running on WIndows XP X64 SP3 AMD ATHLON II 64 - Mem 4Gb), i had install .net framework 4 and i've tried to install Corel Draw X6 64 bit on my system but the screen always shown the warning message "your system has been not modified, the processor in your computer does not meet the minimum system requirement". Is it because of Windows XP x64 or the processor?
I've been trying to get W7-64 to display X5 thumbnails. I've been trying for months. My efforts have brought me to:
Have you tried this? Have you tried that? Have you tried Mystic Thumbs? It's Microsoft's fault
The best I can do is a kluge I don't want to live with. I've been a Corel user for 20 years. Much as I am attached to the program, this makes it virtually unusable. I work with a ton of files. I need to be able to see what they are before opening them.
I'm disappointed to see this problem has been going on for a number of years. It gives me the feeling the good people who built Corel are all gone now, and pride in the product went with them.
I'd love to learn the real honest-to-goodness Corel fix is jist around the corner, but I can't even find an official Corel position on this issue. Is there one? other than
The problem does not exist The problem is the user's fault The problem is Microsoft's fault
I recently bought a new laptop with Windows 7 64 bit OS, and installed the CorelDraw X5(worked fine on an older XP machine) on it, the application crashes every time when the progress showing "Creating Application Environment". I tried to run it under XP compatible mode, tthe only difference is now the Regstration works, but the app still crashes every time.
I've upgraded to CorelDraw X6 but I need the files I make to be openable in Coreldraw 10. When saving I use the drop down box and choose the option for 10 and if they are opened again in X6 before they are opened in 10 they are fine, but when these files are opened in 10 they crash and the file gets wiped (when opened again it's just a blank page).
A not so obvious box that needs ticking? An option I have missed somewhere?
Is it because the version i have is 64bit? Or is it just not possible to downsave files properly anymore, is 10 just too old now?
Is X6 64 bit supposed to save in the background? It seems to do it sometimes but I'm usually seeing the hourglass especially after exporting in X5 format. I have 24GB of ram so that shouldn't be an issue.
Just wanted to know if there are any problems installing Adobe Photoshop CS5 in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit?
Planning to purchase a laptop that comes with the OEM license and plan to use 64-bit OS to maximize the 8GB RAM of memory. Just afraid if there are known issues for this type of installations.
While installing X5 it seems to get stuck while installing fonts and clipart ! My tower is making all these orgasmic sounds, but after a while it sounds like a scratched record making all the same sounds continuously. The gauge that shows me how far the download is proceeding seems to get stuck at the 25% mark.
I have installed corel draw x5..while installing it dint ask any language, it kept on installing. After installing im not able to understand the language. How can i change it to English?
I have three MAC's using Parallels with Windows 7 X64 on a domain. I cannot get Corel Draw x5 to launch on one. It just simply crashes and records Failed to Release Mutex Error ID = Returned Error 288 & 1 in the event log. I have tried removing Corel Draw from the workstation 3x in combination with manual and automatic. I have spent over 8 hours on this and cannot find a solution on line. I have removed user settings as well. I have the original media. I have tried downloading another copy from CNET but the key will not work.
I have been having problems updating my Corel Draw 11 Graphics Suite for use on a computer running Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit. It worked fine on the previous computer I was using, which was running Windows XP Pro, 64 bit. I have been to the download site for all applicable patches and service packs for Corel 11, namely, SP1, SP2, Draw11SVGUpdate, and CGS11savefix.exe. When I run the SP1, I get an error message: "the file C:/Programfiles(x86)CorelCorelGraphics11FiltersCRLPDFImport110.dll is not a valid previous version and could not be upgraded" The only response choice I was offered was "OK" and this exits the setup.
When I try to open either Corel Draw 11 or Corel Photo Paint 11, I get the following message: "Corel PHOTO-PAINT(R) [or DRAW] has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." The only "option" I'm given is to push the "Close program" toggle and exit. Windows has never contacted me via email to tell me of any solutions.
I have been using the Corel Draw Graphics Suite for many years - first buying the Full Version of CD5, then upgrading to 8, then upgrading to 11. I have the original "upgrade" discs for 11 which have installed just fine up to now, and I really do not need the extensive features of CGS X5 (which, by the way, works perfectly in the "trial download" form I put onto the computer in question!). I was SO hoping to get the updates on 11 installed so it will work on Win 7 Pro, rather than have to pay $200 for the upgrade to X5 "just" to gain the ability to run Corel DRAW and Corel PHOTO PAINT on this new computer. (By the way, that "just" is a relative term - if it's the only way to get a functioning program, I will have to upgrade - Corel DRAW and Corel PHOTO PAINT are the bedrock of our private printing press work!) Is there any way I can proceed with Corel 11?
CorelDRAW 12 successfully installed on a new machine running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit; however, when attempting to run the SP1 patch (CGS12SP1EN.msp), I get the following message:
"The wizard was interrupted before CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 12 could be completely installed."
I have tried "Corel Draw 12 and vista" which attempted to run the Microsoft installer through the command prompt running under Administrator, but it doesn't work.
am using windows 7 without aero windows. Twice when using Corel draw and saving the program has crashed. I have then had to ctrl alt delete and shut the program down.
I'm having 2 seperate import problems in Coreldraw X5 in Windows 7. The first one, and the one I need to fix immediatly is, every time I try to import a dfx file, the program crashes. The other which is less important right now is, a lot of times when I try to import PDF's I get an error message that says the file is corrupt.
im using coreldraw x5 since last year but recently when ive tried to open uniform fill tool (***+f11) the separate window isnt showing up. is as if it is invisible because i would have to press esc to continue back to my work. the only pop up window that does work is fountain fill (f11) the rest such as option (ctrl+j) doesnt pop up
When using Windows 7 (32 bit) and Coreldraw X5, when I zoom up the page, with grid on, and start moving TIFFs around, the grid disappears in that local area. The only option is to refresh the page. So just recently upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit, but no change.
Not to sound entirely ignorant ... but, where is the Corel program folder in Window 7 x64? I went to drive C (no other drives) and then programs folder ... no Corel folder?
I'm trying to get to the GMS folder to install macros...
We purcased X6 and installed on 3 PC. two are Windows XP and one has Windows 8 operating system.
X6 work fine and fast on Windows 8 system.
But both X6 on both Windows XP are nightmare. Just creating new document can take up to 10 sec. Printing is also very slow, but exporting simple JPG file knock-me down. It take half minute or more...
Previous we worked many year's with X4 on same PC's, now we format PC's, Install Windows XP with all service pack's and updates, reboot machine and install X6.
It is not possible to install Windows 8 on those two PC's, because they drive two machines, that only support Windows XP...
I have used Corel X3 on a XP & Vista machine with the Draw stitch Embroidery Effect plug-in. However, when I install it on Windows 7, the Embroidery Effect is not showing up in Corel, even thought both programs seemed to install successfully.
I must have tried installing CorelDRAW X5 a dozen times on Windows ultimate X64; but it wouldn't. I always get an "incomplete installation". At 58% and 62%, I get an "error 1721" message saying that there is a problem with the Windows installer package and it couldn't "register" or "unregister".
