I've been using PSE 11 for some time with no problem. I recently upgraded my Mac operating sytem to 10.9.1 and now the workspace for the PSE 11 Organizer is not displaying properly. The top menu bar with the import, media, people, places, events, share, and create functions isn't visible. I'm also unable to scroll to the top of my catalog of photos.

View 13 Replies View RelatedUsing Photoshop CS 6, Windows 7.I downloaded a bunch of brushes, placed them in the brushes folder (in presets) and when I tell Photoshop to load brushes it won't see any at all.
When I double click on the files, it will tell me they are not compatible, but I have the latest version of Photoshop.
Normally I run the 64 bit version of Photoshop and I placed the burshes in both Program Files and Program Files (x86). I tried running both versions of my Photoshop (32 bit and 64 bit) still no luck.
I've recently installed Photoshop CS4 along with the production premium package on my workstation, a Dell Precision 690 (XP 64 bit).
The video card in this workstation is listed under the device manager as a 3450/4000 SDI - I installed the graphics driver for the Quadro FX 3450 dated January '09, and I'm still unable to use openGL features in photoshop. (Graphics hardware acceleration is unavailable)
I read that the 3450 is not on the supported/tested list of video cards released for CS4.
Any ideas on a fix for this? Tomorrow if I have no answers or options I'll just re-install CS2. CS4 is about 5x slower than CS2 at the moment, drawing on-screen with large files chugs along in square chunks, where it would display perfectly smooth in CS2, with only very minor hangs when zooming large (100mb+) files.
We did some tests with a windows 8 machine and we found out that the wacom Intuos5 driver is a total mess, Especially horrible with max and all 3d apps. The right click takes 2 seconds to appear and it lags a lot in dragging windows around. The right click also has the famous circle. In other words Intuos5 is unusable for Zbrush - 3ds Max workflow.
EDIT!!!15/02/2013 Wacom posted a new driver yesterday where 3ds max’s right click doesn’t work.!!! Whenever you press it turns the right click popup window on but you can’t select anything, the window sticks there until you use a mouse or throw a wacom tablet out of a window.
I've recently subscribed to Creative Cloud, and downloaded some of the new Creatie Programs, as Photoshop, Muse ands Illustrator.
I understand that Illustrator CC isn't compatible with some of my older plugins, but i don't understand that instead of simply avoid loading them, it CRASHES too! That issue forces me to find the plugin that was guilty of the crash, remove it from the plugins folder, and then start again.
This has happened me twice: with the font agent pro autoactivation filter, and with the inkling sketch manager of wacom
I must insist: what really annoyes me is the fact that the program crashes instead avoiding the loading of the outdated plugin.
Will this have a patcj in future versiones,?
I have several business partners that are supplying me with .mp4 files from Adobe live flash media encoder, using the h.264 codec, but the only audio choice is for an MP3 codec. this combination displays/plays no audio in Premiere Pro CS5. Only after I use handbrake to convert the audio to the AAC codec with it play in the Timeline.The upgrade to the main concept plug-in for AFMLE will allow for this, but the business partners are reluctant to spend the $ .is CS6 compatible with the default of FMLE with h.264 and the .mp3 audio? if so I will upgrade.

I have imported several of the free vector art found in various websites as .eps without issues, until this one. This one imports everything except the circular renditions of snow and snowballs. Gimp and PSE will import and convert the .eps to an image as it is supposed to appear.

I do not need these snowmen anymore, I found other candidates, and I believe I could recreate the snowballs with ovals and a meshes. I am more concerned about being able to import .eps files in general.
I just want to warn that the SP2 patch of VS Pro X3 is incompatible with rendering and playback of mpeg-2 files. Your mpeg-2 files will finish rendering with SP2, but the rendered file will have audio distortions. Corel has a patch to repair it (only send to someone who calls Corel & complain about mpeg-2 render problems), but the patch causes a hiccup in the preview playback of the mpeg-2 clip just after the rendering is finished. The result only plays smooth after pause and starting of the playback from beginning again.

I have not renamed or moved original elements, yet when I recently opened an on-going project in Photoshop Elements 4.0, about 1/4 of the media elements were gone. Why? Is there a way to troubleshoot this? Anyway to recover these slides? Can't see that any photos, etc in the Organizer have broken links.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to have more than one text placement inside of a single layer, but be able to maintain and move each of those separately from the others? From what I have seen, each new Text item gets its own new layer. If I want to document an image with seven points of reference, it's absolutely crazy that I have to maintain seven layers, each with an integer 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7. What would be much more maintainable is to create ONE layer and name it "MAP-NUMBERS" and then have seven integers placed into that one layer. I would then want to be able to move - say - "2" around separately from "4". Then making all of the numbers appear or disappear becomes as easy as hiding or showing one layer.
Is there a way to do this with any version of Photoshop?
Description of the task: I want to create a tool which is able to visualize the positions of pieces on a game board. At the moment I'm using Photoshop Elements 7. I think the following procedure would be appropriate:
2 layers, the basic layer would show the game board and the images of the pieces would be on the second layer. If I try to do that with Photoshop Elements 7 then each time when I insert an image of a piece a new layer is created. I don't need a layer per figure. Yes, one could reduce a layer afterwards. But it's not so comfortable this way.
In addition the images of the pieces should be movable on the game board. There is the option "free transform" in Photoshop Elements 7 but only one element (one piece) is movable afterwards. All the inserted elements should be movable.
So my question: Is it feasible within Photoshop Elements 7? If not, which version of Photoshop Elements would be adequate or which software do I need?
I am trying to add several photos to a frame. I just downloaded the free trial of photoshop elements 12, but the entire column labeled 'layer' is disabled. I can't use clipping mask. I am wondering, is this feature disabled because it's a free trial? Do I need to have my photos arranged differently in order for the layer column to be active and usable? Is this a feature that elements does not have?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to move elements of that painting onto a separate layer. What is the best way to do this? An example of this would be a painting with the moon in a night sky. I might want to move that moon object into a separate layer.
My reason for wanting to do this is I want to change the background of the painting without worrying about doing fine details around the objects I am moving. A second benefit of moving the objects to a layer is that I can then easily move the location of those elements in the painting around, trying to reposition them.
can I get all of the elements I am moving onto a SINGLE layer AND still have the ability to move those elements around separately? If I want to move 10 elements in a painting to a separate layer, it is REALLY inconvenient to have to put those into 10 separate layers and constantly maintain naming of these different layers.
I have quit the program and restarted it. I have restarted the Mac and the problem is still there. None of my other program windows are stuck, just Elements.
It is too far to the left and it won't move over.
I'm trying to access the ruler tool in elements 9. I got to the eyedropper icon, point at it, click and hold, but the window with the options does not open. Is there another way to access this tool?

They are also fine in the PE 10 RAW editor, but distort when moved into the editor. It does not seem to be just a display issue as they also print with the distorted patterns. how to correct or avoid this from happening?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I start Elements Organiser, there is an on-screen message that there are files ready to import and that the Organiser will now import these files into the Catalog. Then a "Getting Media" box displays and, at some point, say 56%, the "racing cursor" appears and the programme does nothing more. It just freezes and eventually there is a Windows message stating that the programme is not responding. This happens in Elements/Premiere 11. I reinstalled Elements 6 and the file importing works quickly and without problem in that version of Elements.
This is a new, custom-built PC, running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. 16 Gb memory. Adobe programmes were installed for 64-bit OS exactly as directed in Adobe instructions. All hardware drivers are up to date. No other problems with any other software, just Adobe's Elements 11 bundle !
It (organizer) and Photoshop make me force quit when trying to sign in as well.

View 11 Replies View RelatedMy wife took my picture in front of the UW Husky Stadium but the video screen above me is overexposed (washed out). So I took a separate shot of the screen with proper exposure. As you can probably see, I took this shot much closer to the screen. I want to replace the overexposed screen witht the properly exposed screen in the picture of me.
Because the properly exposed shot was taken closer to the screen and maybe at a different angle (rotation) those would have to be adjusted.
I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 running on Windows 7. I have used it for a while but am an absolute beginner with anything more than the simplest functions so I would need all the steps spelled out in detail.
I put the elements 12 disk in my DVD drive and it spens about 4 minutes trying to get going. The lights on the drive flash occasionally, and you can hear it trying to go. I go to "my computer" to check the "drive" folder and it never appears for me to click on it and open it. It also doesn't automatically load which I have turned on. I have verified it is a DVD drive.
