May 22, 2013While pressing the corner triangle at the instrument button no additional instruments appear as they should. Reinstallation of the program did not work.

Nov 28, 2013I recently purchased elements 12. When using layers, I noticed the background layer was only partially locked and not fully locked as I was assuming it should be. I couldn't find anywhere that I could change this.

I have 8 .ico files that i converted to .png to open them. once all are open i try to combine into one file with 8 layers but am unable to do it!?!? Jul 8, 2013I am working with text for the first time. The idea is to model up instrument panels that will be laser engraved in aluminum with about 10 - 30 lines of text with cutouts for the LED's etc.
I created fully constrained sketches with about 5 lines of text per sketch. I tried emboss, and then extrude as new solid.
My problem is that both tools/features seem to take more of my CPU that running a part fill analysis, and all for a few lines of text!
I rolled up the EOP to edit a sketch, and when I pulled it down again my poor 3.2ghtz dual core with 8 gig RAM just about smoked. I'm dreading having to re-position a few things.
Photoshop :: Blocked Part Of Picture
May 17, 2008I have a jpg image that has an area of the image blocked with a white box where you cannot see the pixels beneath it, however in a thumbnail of the picture, in a regular windows folder, the white box is gone and you can see the entire picture and no white box.
I have tried everthing that I can think of in PS, but can't seem to find anyway to remove the white box to see all of the pixels.
Photoshop :: Image Displaying With Blocked Out Areas?
Apr 19, 2012I downloaded an image of a web template to look at the colours more closely before possibly purchasing it and when I opened the image in CS4 it had a bunch of triangular blocked out areas - kind of like a mask of some sort I think. I then tried creating a new document and opening an existing, unrelated PSD file and now they have the same triangular blocked out areas.

In case I'm going about this wrong, let me ask the question another way. I'm just getting used to the wonders of attributes & data extraction (I love it!). Right now I have blocks with attributes that I use data extraction to count. I also need some way to calculate length. These blocks represent electrical devices - then I need to calculate the amount of wire used to connect the devices.
So now I use a pline to join the devices, get the length of that polyline, and then manually enter that length into the spreadsheet from the data extraction. But...I'm thinking if I can link an attribute to a pline, then I can include that in the data extraction and automate it. But I don't see how I can use a block for this, since the pline will be completely variable and needs to be "custom-fit" for each circuit.
Photoshop Elements :: All Of A Sudden Elements Panel Frozen And Won't Move
Jan 30, 2014I have quit the program and restarted it. I have restarted the Mac and the problem is still there. None of my other program windows are stuck, just Elements.
It is too far to the left and it won't move over.
Premiere Pro :: CS6 Crashes After PC Wakes Up From Sleep / 2nd Monitor Blocked By Preview
Oct 7, 2013When I work on a project in PremierePro CS6 v6.0.5 and put my PC to sleep, Premiere crashes almost every time I boot up Windows again. There is no error number or anything, just a window saying that PP does not work and I only have the option to close PP. So I basically have to quit Premiere every time and load up the project again when I continue working on it, which can take some time if this is a long project.
This also happens with other PC I could test this on. This is happening since the very first version of PP CS6. I had a chance to test PP CS5.5 on this issue and this was not a problem their. I was testing with Win7.
I already submitted this bug quite a while ago, but all the updates did not solve this problem.
There is also another bug I noticed related to the second monitor preview in PP CS6, that also is not getting addressed for quite some time. When using a dual monitor setup the full screen preview on the second monitor does not minimize if I minimize PP by clicking on the PP icon in the taksbar. If I use the minimize button in the PP window (top right) the preview on the second monitor stays in the background as it should. Also if PP is minimized and I am working with another application (reading a PDF or surfing the web fo example) the PP full screen preview appears after a while on its own and blocks the second monitor. So I have to go to the PP window and back the the application I want to work in in order to get rid of the preview monitor being blocked.Here you can see what I mean: [URL]
This issue has also been tested on other machines with Win7 and they all had this problem. This two issues are obviously not related to my setup because I can reproduce them on other machines.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Solid Model Of IPT Or IAM Made To Show Blocked Edges
Feb 23, 2012I would like to be able to export from an Inventor .dwg or .idw made up of various views (either made from an Inventor .ipt or .iam) to an AutoCAD 2000 or later .dwg, and have the objects modeled in the Inventor .ipt/.iam that is shown in these views to already be shown as blocked entities when the AutoCAD .dwg is created. Also it is important to have the scale be exactly 1:1 from the Inventor drawing to the AutoCAD drawing that is created, so that no resizing/scaling is necessary. Is it possible to create such an AutoCAD 2D drawing from any release of Inventor and if so, what are the steps/procedure for making it???
I know that the solid model of an .ipt or .iam can be made to show blocked edges that appear as a block so why not two steps further and have this capability translate through to an .ipt or .iam Inventor drawing to a save copy as AutoCAD drawing???
Photoshop Elements :: Where Is Character Panel In PE 9
Feb 11, 2013I had a problem with my fonts be locked in all caps.Clicking the reset buttons did not clear it.On the internet it said to open the 'character' panel and change it there but I couldn't find the character panel.It is not on the menu bar at the top of the screen nor is it available under the Window drop down. I finally found a work around on the internet but would like to have access to the character panel.

Feb 16, 2013how to import new images into the layers panel. If I hit "create new layer" all I get is a blank layer. What I want to do is import an image from which I will cut out part of it and layer it onto another image. For example: lets's say I want to put an image of myself in front of a tree. I want to take the image of myself from one picture and layer it onto the picture which has the tree on it. How do I get both of those images into the same layers panel? I can get the picture of myself into the layers panel as layer #1, then I can cut myself out of the picture. My problem is, when I try to import the picture with the tree on it, it opens itself up in a new tab. If I try to hit "create new layer", only a blank layer apprears above my first layer. I have tried to drag the new image onto the layers panel, but it won't attach. All of the tutorials I have been able to find/watch, already have all of the images they are working with pre-loaded into the layers panel. I just need to know how to get my images into the panel, so that I can start to work with them.

Today I opened a PSE file to carry on working on it, and the layers panel was blank, even though it has several layers. Jan 6, 2013Why is it when i drag one image from the bottom panel over to another picture(solid color) i will only get 50% of the image and not the full image. Same thing when i copy and paste that image over the gray solid colored image also i will get only 50% of the image. The original image of the cat(full view) is about 24.79% and picture is 11.733 x 15.644 in size. the other image (solid color) is at 43.63% or 6.667 x 8.889". size is in inches. Do i have to resize the images and if so how as i am a stupie in this matter. The images are aligned side by side on the main panel or display.I am trying to place the cat over the gray background image and with a layer mask delete the present baackground of the cat to uncover the gray of the bottom layer.

Jan 16, 2014Started working with PSE and when I tried to "stamp" a brush shape (whether default brushes or otherwise), the program does something it had never done before....SEE ATTACHED. I will create a new layer to use my brush, but when I try to "stamp" it onto background, the program then creates a layer mask where I can see the brush shape AND a new layer, however ALL that shows up on the background is the icon you can see in my screen grab I am attaching here. What is this icon? (The teeny one middle right of image, black square, outlined in red, with two red circles in the middle) I called Apple, we did a few things, they said it wasn't on there end. I reset my tools, I uninstalled, reinstalled, to no avail. Again, I've reset all tools, the "eye" icon on layers panel shows it should be visible, I've tried layers-->merge visible, I've uninstalled and reinstalled.....
