Premiere Elements 12 for Mac. Software version 10.9.2. imported movies from Panasonic HDC-SD600 setting HA1080i 25fps are pixelated and/or verticals are fuzzy. If importing using same camera but in 1080p 50fps movies are not pixelated and with very little fuzzy vertical lines. I am very disapointed as I have no problem with iMovie!

I've bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7 camera. As I want to preserve the best format picture, I want to save in raw-format. Elements 10 doesn't seem to be able to import raw from this camera. I could use Raw Converter, but naturally I want to use the import function from the Elements suite. Is there any way I could make this work on my MacBook Pro?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am creating a new catalog for my photos in the Photoshop Elements 11 Organizer. When I choose "File Get Photos and Videos From Files and Folders...", the only option I have to import my photos is "Media Files". "Media Files" includes all picture and movie formats. I do not want to import my home movies, only my family photos. I do not see a filter to import only photo formats (e.g. *.jpeg and not *.mts). "File Get Photos and Videos By Searching..." does not proivide this option either. It's a problem because my photos and videos are stored along side each other in the same folders, and I have nearly 2 TB of data.
How can I import only my photos in to a new catalog in Photoshop Elements 11?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use Elements 10 to convert Panasonic RAW files to JPEGs for web use. The batch runs, but prompts for a "save" location at every file. I have reinstalled Elements, reinstalled the Camera RAW update, and have ensured I have ownership of source and destination folders (in Windows 7).
I have tried several folders, set up test folders etc. and nothing seems to work.
upgrading to either one of these products as my current versions do not appear to support the panasonic raw file format rw2 but would like to know if the latest versions do support this format before I buy.
View 6 Replies View RelatedPSE 12 has a new feature under Preferences/Camera or Card Reader called "Alutomatically Stack RAW and JPEG." Checking this will stack a RAW & JPEG file combination, i.e., when shooting with the camera's RAW + JPEG setting checked. In my case PSE 12 appears to stack my Panasonic RAW files and each JPEG thumbnail shows the right facing arrow to expand the stack. When I click the arrow the arrow disappears but the stack does not expand to reveal the RAW file. The RAW file still exists on the hard drive, but I can't find any way to reveal it in PSE (I've not tried to re-import the RAW files because there are a lot of files in a lot of folders.) This is rather critical and needs to be fixed.

What good is having software that is suppose to be able to read RAW files when it won't for new equipment. Surely it should be able to adapt to newer cameras as they come along.Today I tried downloading a sample RAW file from a online review of the new Canon 5D Mark iii. It starts to open in CS5 but then says it can't read RAW files from this camera either. How do I change that in my Photoshop CS5. I havn't tried it in Elements 10 yet. will it do the same thing and will I need to change the settings there too? I can post process RAW files from my Canon XSi and XTi without any problem.

I tried all ways of opening the video0001.mts file known to me ( pressing the + symbol, pressing the little film symbol, open as layers ) , and the video itself is shown and played in PS, but the the sound is switched to off and cannot be switched on.
Is there any special setting required or will I have toinstall a special codec for these files ? As the camera is pretty old, I thought for a full compatibility with CS6.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased the VX3/PSX3 bundle. So far we love the flexibility and ease of creating a project. We do a lot of transferring, such as 8mm and VHS for family and friends. Our most recent project included five 20 minute reels of 8mm film. The finished project with menus and credits was just about 1 hour 58 minutes with a size of 6.6GB.
We have a a Blu-Ray burner as well as a DL DVD burner so that size should be fine since we were going to just make a DL DVD. I then went to the SHARE tab and selected the "Create a movie" link. I chose the mpg option just out of familiarity. All went well until I noticed that it broke my project into 2 seperate movies (movie.mpg and movie001.mpg). The first was a bit larger than the second, but almost equal in time. I thought maybe I did something wrong and reran it. The second try yielded basically the same result...two movie files, but this time the second was only 9 minutes long while the first was 1 hour 48 mins. I do not want the extra links on the DVD Menu. The cousin that this is going to is NOT very electronics savvy and the extra buttons on the menu may cause a complete mental breakdown. How I can keep this 6.6GB project as one complete file for DVD authoring? I can forward along file info if need be when I get home.
I want to try a newer version of VS with a Canopus capture device. I want to convert some old VHS movies to DVD. Can this be accomplished with any of the newer VS versions, 11 up to 15? Also, will they work with Vista 32 bit?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased Photoshop Elements12 and Premiere Elements12, I also purchased Adobe's workbook "CLASSROOM IN A BOOK" (CIB). According to the setup process, CIB instructions call for downloading lesion files from the Peachpit web site, which was done successfully. These lesion files are identified as MP4 files and were placed an a directory. Following import procedures in the Photoshop Organizer which calls for highlighting the lesson files and clicking on "Get Media" nothing happened, no files appearing in the Organizer or no error messages.

It imports it flat, with every subfolder and parent folder listed on the same level, so my organisation is shot to hell. I'm sure it's me being dumb, (but in fact it's Elements being incredibly un-intuitive) but how to import an existing folder structure with many images, retaining the structure after import? View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased VideoStudio Pro X4. I have been making movies just fine, but now I am wanting to try some new things such as effects. Here are some things I would like to try, but I am not sure if VideoStudio has this capability:
1. Add explosions to movies.
2. Also other effects like lightning coming from fingertips.
3. I have seen in other video clips where people have added a mouth to various inanimate objects such as a wall or fruit or whatever. The object would remain still while the mouth spoke. I am not sure if this is clear or not.
I noticed that some have used Adobe After Effects. Is this what is needed? It seems kind of expensive.
I have a created a video using my Sony XE105 handycam in HD and edited it successfully using X2.
I can then export it to WMV format and view the file in superb quality in windows media player. However, when I try to export into FLV format, I get the message about converting and it sits at 0%. I have left it for over a half hour without any movement before deeming it as having "hung" and trying again.
I'd really like to export movies in FLV format rather than WMV?
I have done all the updates etc that Corel has suggested and I still cannot make a 3D movie. I do all the steps to make it and when I play it back the audio is there but there is either a white or black screen.
