I recently purchased Photoshop Elements12 and Premiere Elements12, I also purchased Adobe's workbook "CLASSROOM IN A BOOK" (CIB). According to the setup process, CIB instructions call for downloading lesion files from the Peachpit web site, which was done successfully. These lesion files are identified as MP4 files and were placed an a directory. Following import procedures in the Photoshop Organizer which calls for highlighting the lesson files and clicking on "Get Media" nothing happened, no files appearing in the Organizer or no error messages.
I"ll tried directly importing files as NEF and I've converting them to DNG usuing Adobe converter and still the error message says doesn't recognize files.
In the last few months, when I try to upload my raw files (.cr2 extension), it says they are the wrong format and cannot be loaded. Previously, I had no problem.I just tried to open one of the older raw files and got the same error message.
I have PSE 11 and it will not import Canon RAW files directly from the camera. It only "picks up" the jpg files. However, it does recognise Canon RAW files which are already on my hard drive.
I use my photo camera for photo's and video, but as PSE is crashing/freezes when it encounters a mts file I would like to exclude these from importing but the default "media type" settings does not allow this. How can I force PSE to exclude these files, so I can import all photos into the organizer.
I am using element 9 and am having problems importing files into the organizer . It has imported most of my images (jpg) from other folders. One folder does not import. I get a message saying the files are not supported or already imported. All the files are jpg's and none have been imported. I have changed the names of some of the files and then they get recognized and imported. Is there a maximum character name for files? How can I tell what files are not supported? The pop up window giving this information is so small I can't read the list. I removed anything from the folder that was not a jpg in case the import process stop when it encounters a file it does not recognize.
I have a new Canon 70D. If I upgrade to photoshop elements 12 will I be able to import raw files using this camera without using plug ins. It would not import raw files off a 70D in elements 11 but would for my older ?Canon 60D. Has this been corrected??
I have attempted to import an Aperture library file but it is greyed out so I cannot select it. Whilst it is possible to copy and paste to the desktop, I am talking about a 50Gb file.
Can I stop the Photoshop Editor from automatically causing photos to be imported into the Organizer? I want them to remain where they are until I want to cause them to be imported. One gets way too many 1 photo imports.
Why is photoshop elelments 9 not recognizing .wmv or .avi files when trying to import photos from videos. I have used this feature before without problems using .wmv videos, why did it quit working all of the sudden?
When I import my collection of images and videos using "Import / From file and folders...", Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer crashes when importing one of my .m2ts files. When I debug it I get:
Unhandled exception at 0x1543025B (mc_demux_mp2_ds.ax) in PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe: 0xC0000094: Integer division by zero.
Is there a way for me to import m2ts files successfully? If not, then is there a way to skip importing these files.
I have been running PSE 10 for a while with my Canon 60D, windows 7 and I have never had an issue with importing CR2 files to my organizer. Now all of the sudden they will no longer show up in the organizer or rather there is the icon with a question mark, and the "mssing file" error. When I use the downloader from my card reader I can see them in the preview screen, but when the downloader is done and the files are in the organizer, get nothing but the aforementioned icons.
I installed to the DNG converter as suggested, but that did nothing as well. So, I finally gave up, purchased PSE 12, installed it and guess what, still no luck. I have updated the RAW converter to the latest version and as near as I can tell I have done everything suggested. Like I said earlier, I can see the pictures clearly in the adobe downloader when I import the files from my memory card and I can open the pics fine in the Canon software, I can even open the picture in the Editor if I go through the editor; but I can't do anything with the picture in the Organizer.
I bought a library of models created in 3D Studio Max with vray and haven't been able to import the meshes with their mtl files and jpeg texture maps into cs5 extended. I was able to import the meshes as a 3ds file but was limited to the number of faces and the resultant quality was hit or miss.
I could also import obj files as a single mesh comprised of what should have been several separate meshes. In both cases without a connection to their mtl files or their jpeg texture files. I heard that there is a vray plug-in for Photoshop.
trying to make a DVD which will be of several large (>13GB) video files.
Is there a limit to how big you can import?
My first video file is 17GB and I want to be able to edit it and chop bits out...when I import it, I only seem to have 3mins of audio and a broken video image....
I've been sent a layered PSD of a website design by a client. The file contains bitmap images, text, simple shapes and smart objects. We're going to create an animation using the design and therefore need to produce a vector version of the design in Illustrator (except for the bitmapped elements which we have large format version of).
is there a way of taking the layered PSD in to Illustrator which will convert as much of the design as possible in to vectors (including the smart objects), make the text editable and save hours of our time having to rebuild the site pretty much from scratch in Illustrator.
Ive imported it in already as an experiment. Although quite successful, none of the smart objects convert to vector and it looks like all of the text is un-editable and some of it causes missing font messages even though the fonts a definitely there.
In my Lightroom catalogue, I often need to open a raw (dng) file in Photoshop, work on it there and save the result as a jpeg. The jpeg is then sent to a client after which I have no further use for it, so normally I would delete it. However I find that every time I 'save as' in Photoshop, Lightroom imports that file into its database. The only exception is if I choose 'save for web' in Photoshop. I'm told that this behaviour is wrong - that LR shouldn't automatically import these images.
Bridge CS6 always stops importing the files from my D800 via USB 3.0 after exactly 6 jpg files are transferred. In mixed nef+jpg as well as in jpg only mode. No matter if CF only or SD only or both cards are used. No problem with .nef only.To change the target directory to another SSD or HD makes no difference.
But at the same USB 3.0 ports (I tried them all), no problem whatsoever to do the transfer via Windows Explorer. So I guess it must be something with Bridge and USB3.0 and jpgs from the D800.System is a brand new W7Ultimate64 on an IvyBridge Z77 platform.
i upgraded to CS6 photoshop and now i am having problems with multichannel photoshop files not importing correctly into CorelDraw x6. Either no channels appear at all or some will be missing or misnamed.
i realize that X6 may not have the latest and greatest import filters for the latest in Adobe products.
i have even saved the psd files as rgb and grayscale, hoping the issue was just multixhannel but that did not work.
How can I import photos from cd's to Elements 8? I had to reboot my computer system and short of copying the photos from the cd to the computer and then to the sd seems to be the only way I have found. Is there a better way to imkport directly from the cd's?
I've had Elements 11 for some time and can't use it as I can't seem to find a way to import an existing folder structure of images. It imports it flat, with every subfolder and parent folder listed on the same level, so my organisation is shot to hell. I'm sure it's me being dumb, (but in fact it's Elements being incredibly un-intuitive) but how to import an existing folder structure with many images, retaining the structure after import? Actually thinking about it, I can barely remember how to import at all, I found it quite difficult to achieve and I think I might have drag and dropped some files?
I just downloaded photoshop elements 12 and imported photos from my picture library. The photos imported but lacked the image numbers that were set by the camera. Can these #s be imported also? I was using the #s to mark the photos I wanted to put in a special folder so with out them I would have to start over in elements
I have a batch of igs and stp files that I have to import into max and on some of them I am getting this strange issue where its almost like the boolean operation has failed and where there should be a piece cut out I am getting an extra piece of geometry in the shape of the cutout.
The image will make more sense, as you can see I am getting these extra tubes rather than the groove that should be there.
I tired importing photos from one folder and about 300-400 of them weren't imported (out of about 1,000). I deleted them and tried again. Same thing. On the third try it imported all of them.My thought was maybe it's going to take more time importing images from my folders than learning to use the program. I can't learn the program if it keeps dropping images. I tried another directory of about 3,000 images but it only accepted about 300 of them. No matter how many times I tried, it would only import 300 out of the whole batch. These are good jpg files that all my other programs have no trouble with.
