View 2 RepliesI'm running VSproX2 and I'm trying to capture video from my Panasonic DVX100 camera. I have some Christmas stuff I want to edit. I cant seem to get VS to recognize the Camera. I dont know if it's a setting in the camera or a bad firewire (4pin) port.
Does the camera need a driver to be loaded? Should the PC have recognized the Camera when it was plugged in (like USB devices)?
I have the camera set to VCR mode. In VS, I go to Capture and select Capture Video. It says "Either no device is installed, or the device is not connected". Nothing is listed in Source or Format.
I'm using Panasonic NVGS-25 camera + windows7 home premium + videostudio X5. When i connect my cam via FireWire, system see it and opens new window with proposition to capture video with VideoStudio, but when VS runs, it says that no devices detected or no drivers for it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7 camera. As I want to preserve the best format picture, I want to save in raw-format. Elements 10 doesn't seem to be able to import raw from this camera. I could use Raw Converter, but naturally I want to use the import function from the Elements suite. Is there any way I could make this work on my MacBook Pro?
View 2 Replies View RelatedPremiere Elements 12 for Mac. Software version 10.9.2. imported movies from Panasonic HDC-SD600 setting HA1080i 25fps are pixelated and/or verticals are fuzzy. If importing using same camera but in 1080p 50fps movies are not pixelated and with very little fuzzy vertical lines. I am very disapointed as I have no problem with iMovie!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use Elements 10 to convert Panasonic RAW files to JPEGs for web use. The batch runs, but prompts for a "save" location at every file. I have reinstalled Elements, reinstalled the Camera RAW update, and have ensured I have ownership of source and destination folders (in Windows 7).
I have tried several folders, set up test folders etc. and nothing seems to work.
upgrading to either one of these products as my current versions do not appear to support the panasonic raw file format rw2 but would like to know if the latest versions do support this format before I buy.
View 6 Replies View RelatedPSE 12 has a new feature under Preferences/Camera or Card Reader called "Alutomatically Stack RAW and JPEG." Checking this will stack a RAW & JPEG file combination, i.e., when shooting with the camera's RAW + JPEG setting checked. In my case PSE 12 appears to stack my Panasonic RAW files and each JPEG thumbnail shows the right facing arrow to expand the stack. When I click the arrow the arrow disappears but the stack does not expand to reveal the RAW file. The RAW file still exists on the hard drive, but I can't find any way to reveal it in PSE (I've not tried to re-import the RAW files because there are a lot of files in a lot of folders.) This is rather critical and needs to be fixed.
View 11 Replies View RelatedFor convenience, I use my video camera for both video and taking still pictures. For video I use use a wide frame 16:9 while capturing stills I use a standard frame 4:3 (the standard frame allows a higher megapixel). I use VS X2 for creating my home DVD's and I use Photostory 3 for my slide shows.
I've never used the still capture function on VS until today. I needed a couple of stills from the video to match with the continuity of my slide show.
I realised that my screen capture would be wide screen but I figured I could edit the photo and crop it to 4:3. What actually happens is that VS X2 captures the image and squeezes it to 4:3 so in the end I get these long images!
I have updated Video Studio to 1, 2 and Microsoft X. My current version is 12.0.106.1. When I load a series of images some of thumbnails are just black. In my source foulder they are all OK. I delete and try again and others come up black. All of the pictures are standard .jpg. When I check the properties of the correct images they have 'Camera Information' and 'IPTC/NAA' property categories. The black thumbnails do not have these categories at all. I am using Windows 7 on a 64 bit Dell.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe problem I have is that my cameras internal clock drifted out and I need to adjust the capture time of a number of images by an odd amount i.e not an integer number of hours.
That is alter the capture time on multiple images by an amount such as -1h 25m 35s and they are RAW image files.
I have been using Lighroom for many years.
Now I have scanned my old dia pictures and want to change capture time for multiple images in lightroom 5.3. It works for one image whem I in library view use Metadata, Edit Capture Time... and set the date using "Adjust to a specificed date and time". If I try to change for more than one image by marking them and edit the capture time it fails. The pictures gets both different date and time.
How do I capyure from my VCR and USB digitiser. Nothing seems to allow its recognise it? Competitors programmes allow it. Am I missing something in Premier?

Recently I have been asked for certain images taken in 2011.
When searching for them I have discovered that the original capture information has been "gone missing / become lost".
For clarity, the information I'm referring to is the ACTUAL capture date and time of the original image as appears in the raw file metadata.
This data no longer appears on ANY of the subsequent version of any image taken in that year whether PSD or Jpeg. From checks already carried out, the data remains on the original RAW files.
All other years are OK.How can I transfer the date & time of the original image capture from the raw file to subsequents copies (PSD / Jpegs etc)? As literally hundreds of images are involved, is there a bulk routine that I can perform to synchronise this data?
I'm using Photoshop Elements 8. When I try to capture still photos from video clips, the results are not very satisfactory. Usually the stills are very unclear, not sharp like I want them to be. I have to make many attempts to capture a still before I can get one that's halfway clear. Does it have to be this way? What can I do to get consistently clear stills from video?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to Photoshop Elements (Ver. 12 Mac) and I am still learning how to use it. I would like to select an area within a pic, let's say for argument sake the spots of a leopard, capture the selection as a pattern (not just a straight single colour) and use it to paint that pattern with the paintbrush. Or, in the alternate, is there another way to copy an irregular pattern into another defined area of a pic?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Adobe CS5 can't read RAW files I'm attempting to PP in it from two new cameras. What good is having software that is suppose to be able to read RAW files when it won't for new equipment. Surely it should be able to adapt to newer cameras as they come along.Today I tried downloading a sample RAW file from a online review of the new Canon 5D Mark iii. It starts to open in CS5 but then says it can't read RAW files from this camera either. How do I change that in my Photoshop CS5. I havn't tried it in Elements 10 yet. will it do the same thing and will I need to change the settings there too? I can post process RAW files from my Canon XSi and XTi without any problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to use Photoshop CS6 ( all updates installed ) for editing my videos captured by the Panasonic GH2 camera. I tried all ways of opening the video0001.mts file known to me ( pressing the + symbol, pressing the little film symbol, open as layers ) , and the video itself is shown and played in PS, but the the sound is switched to off and cannot be switched on.
Is there any special setting required or will I have toinstall a special codec for these files ? As the camera is pretty old, I thought for a full compatibility with CS6.
I have a Panasonic FZ120 and a Panasonic G5. Can you download and install the RAW Plugin on this computer?
