View 4 RepliesI am trying to find a faster way to save my images. I shoot in raw, save raw images as jpegs after editing them in Camera Raw. I am using Photoshop CS6 on a Mac version 10.7.5. When I save, I either have to save as a copy of the exisiting image, or replace the image I'm working on. Other forums I've read said to make an action to save and create a function key to make this process faster, but my function keys aren't working, and playing the action I've created still makes a copy of the image.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy image in photoshop has thin lines, but when I save it, the jpeg shows the image with very thick dark lines, looking not like the image in photoshop. Why does it do this? How can I stop PS from doing this to my image? I want the image to look as it does in Photoshop when I save it as a Jpeg.
This is in Photoshop CS4
As it should be (using the snipping tool (I can't use the snipping tool as my only option, because it will only capture the size as it is on the screen, not the actual dimensions in Photoshop)
Saved as a Jpeg; the lines are thicker, and now there is little variation in line weight.
Why do I not have the option to save a PSD file as a JPEG?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI suddenly got problems with saving files in .jpeg format. I use camera raw in my camera, and edit photos in Element, and then save a .jpeg version of the photo, and until recently that operation has went on without problems, but suddenly I got no other alternatives than .psd. Why?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter updating the file title in a jpeg file, does PSE save the title by recompressing the file using the jpeg compression algorithm or does it simply update the file title without recompressing the file? Prgressive saves of unaltered files suggest that PSE is recompressing the file each time it is saved.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI know the title sounds weird, but I am having trouble keeping my levels from reverting back to their default look when saving as a jpeg or attempting to flatten or merge my layers. I can attach a link to the PDS if you would like to take a look at it. The layer that is losing its levels settings is called "Stars". I don't change my levels often, so I am sure its something I am just missing. The levels are just changes on a single layer, as stated above its the layer called "Stars".

On the print screen that comes up I have two items listed i.e. fax and printer. I highlight the "printer" but it still reverts to the "send fax" mode.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am importing images saved in both Raw and JPEG format at the time of capture. There seems to be a color shift - toward green for the JPEGS and red for the Camera Raw images. Why is this happening?
View 4 Replies View RelatedFor several years I have been managing my photos in iphoto and using PSE as an external editor for editing images. I currently use PSE 11 on an iMac with OS X Lion (version 10.7.5). My iPhoto Library is divided into a number of sub-libraries via iPhoto Library Manager. I have unexpectedly encountered a problem attempting to edit a RAW image (in this case a .NEF image from a Nikon D200) in a sub-library containing images shot in 2007. When I right click on the image and select Edit in External Editor the image opens in PSE 11 Editor, but it opens as a jpeg and not as an .NEF image. This is in spite of the fact that in iPhoto/Preferences/Advanced/RAW Photos I have checked "Use RAW when using external editor."
As an alternative approach I tried dragging and dropping the RAW image into the PSE 11 Editor icon in the Dock, but I got the same result.
When I import JPEG files to Organizer, the resulting thumbnails show up as opague with an hourglass symbol.
I previously imported hundreds of JPEG files and those thumbnails were always visible. My organizing has been brought to a standstill.
I have opened a jpeg as Camera Raw (7.3) and adjusted it and wanted to save it as jpeg, but the only option is *.dng?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop Elements 11. I designed a book cover with Microsoft Word 2010 and saved the file as a Pdf. I want to upload an image of this book cover to various web sites that require a Jpeg image and the book cover has to cover at least 85% of the image and require a pure white back ground. Pixel size can be 1,000 or more. I did go to the library to get reference books but, I can't ascertain from these books how to do this. I am a beginner to Photoshop and realize I will have to get training for future projects. I wanted to upload an image from my computer to show you the book cover but there was a dialogue box that appeared saying the file was too large to upload. The book cover I designed is 8.5' x 11.0"

Goal of the task : I need the area of different type of soil. I have an image of these different soil, but I need to create a polygon manualy for each and every one of these. This is to calculate the runoff coefficient of a watershed.
As they are different by their colors (blue = lake, green = forest, etc), I would like to know if it is possible to convert these image to have an polygon usable in autocad, where I can calculate the area of each type of cover.
