Jan 5, 2013Elements11: Trying to make a photo collage, but get the message : "Could not complete your request because the file was not a valid frame file". What does that mean? I follow the instructions given how to make a collage, but it comes to a halt when I try to import the pictures to the collage.

Aug 31, 2012I'm new to photoshop. Why did some of my altered pictures not show up in the file? They appear as a blue file with PSD on it. You can see the pictures when you click on them in Photoshop elements 10 but not in your file.

Oct 30, 2012I just purchased a new computer. I am using Photoshop Elements 9. Why is brightness always +50 & contrasr at +25 when opening raw files. My old computer did not do this. When opening a raw file brightness & contrast numbers were the way the photogaph was taken. Is there something I have to turn on to get this to work correctly?

Feb 17, 2013I understand how each time you save a JPG file, there is a loss of information (assuming you closed between Saves) even if you Save with Quality=12. However can you do the following to avoid losing information between saves?
- save as both a JPG and a PSD
- if you want to make another change, open the PSD (instead of the JPG) and make the desired mods
- save as both a JPG and a PSD again
I believe the resulting JPG has basically been updated only once, as opposed to twice if you had made the second set of mods by opening the JPG from the first set of mods. You could continue to do this as many times as you wanted, and the last JPG created would technically have only been updated once (always from the latest PSD), thereby avoiding loss of information from multiple saves.

Mar 10, 2014I'm trying to create an svg file of a landscape photo that I took. I was able to use PE12 to create a turn my photo into black and white, where the buildings and such are black and the sky is white. At this point, I want to delete the sky portion of the photo and save the buildings portion (only) of the photo as an svg or a jpg file. I was able to save this as a jpg in PE12, but only with the white background in the file.
