Photoshop Elements :: Font Resizing Isn't To Scale?
Feb 8, 2013
Whenever I type in small font sizes in Elements, such as 8-9pt font and lower, it comes up as GIGANTIC when it shouldn't be. I've tried restarting the program and checked the scale of my image, but neither proved to be successful.
I am looking to print a file from photoshop cs5 and want to scale my media without resizing my image. I've made sure the scale to fit media is not checked but everytime I've attempted to change the media size the image changes with it. Also how do I unlink the scale, height, width options?
In Coreldrawx6 64bit when i resize the font, change the font in another type. How is possible this? This problem is typing measure in top toolbar, not if i resize manually. I post a sequence about this problem.

I've had some problems with dimension fonts resizing to the last edited dim style. I have attached an example drawing. There are 2 styles here 'Gdims' and 'Stand Dims' The Gdims need to be small font and the Stand dims need to be larger. I have set the size of each style, but if I stretch the larger dimensions they auto resize the font to the set size of my last amended dim style (in this case GDims). You'll see in the attachment that I have resized the 2 blocks and the dimension font has become smaller than the rest.
Not all of my drawing behave in the same way so I'm assuming there's a setting I need to change, but as yet I haven't found it.
I am creating a restaurant menu which has a lot of different sized text. Is there a way to mass change the sizes of the fonts all in one go?I'd like to be able to reduce all the lines by 1pt in one go, is there a way to do that?
how to auto fit overset text in a fixed text frame?
I import many languages into fixed text frames and it is a pain to keep resizing or scaling manually.
As of yet I've been unable to source any javascript or applescript that can do it. The closest has been "JET_AutoFitVertical.jsx" but this resizes the text frames.
Resizing objects is a mess in CorelDRAW X6 when objects are outlined with Scale With Object enabled to retain proportions after resizing.
None of the tools dealing with outlines (e.g. Contour or even Outline itself) continue to work properly after resizing the object.
I strongly suggest to recalculate outline property values after resizing if Scale With Object is checked. Don't just do it hidden somewhere internally in the object model by applying a temporary scaling factor. Instead actually recalculate the actual property values if Scale With Object is checked.

how to convert photo to 650 X 650 pixels AND no more than 250 KB. Am submitting photos of paintings for an exhibition and need the quality to be there.
I am attempting to resize a photo for the web. Our web site designer has told us that the photos must be 960x297 pixels prior to upload. Each time I "resize" the photo's they appear "stretched out" and out of proportion.
Have been using an old version of Photoshop but am now using Photoshop Elements 8 and I need to 'resize' images so I can save them for website but can't seem to do so. The old system was so easy - you just clicked 'resize image' and altered the pixel width or height and it just did it!
how to crop or resize a 4x6 photo so that the entire photo can be viewed thru the opening of a hallmark picture Christmas card that is 3x5. I want to keep the entire picture. I have tried to add a border - but i am not having any success. I am new to photoshop and have elements 12.
For some reason in the new Photoshop 12 it is automatically resizing my image when I drag and drop my image onto a new template. The previous Photoshops have never done this before.
I've scanned and saved a paw print from my dog with the purpose of shrinking it to be able to make a stamp. But every-time I resize the image to 1.5 cm and the canvas size to 4 cms more (5.5 cm) when I come to print it (luckily haven't printed on expensive special paper yet) the settings change and it comes out bigger?
i am trying to resize my image for an art show entry. I finished and noticed there is a blue box around it. I am wondering if that means it hasn't been done correctly.
When I was using an older Photoshop version ...I could select "print with preview" and there I could adjust the size and proportion of the image to the paper size - I would see the paper in a preview box and could adjust the image by sliding the box at the corner points and size the image any way I wanted ... and could see the actual preview of how the image could fit on the paper .... in Elements 11 - even if I do a PDF and print in Preview- there's no way I can see to do that ... I only see options for set sizes- even under the custom sizing menu ... I'm using exactly the same printer that I used with Photoshop - so I'm assuming this is a limitation with Elements ... I don't even see the option in Elements printing to change the image percentage as I've been used to with any other page setup before ....
I have been using Photoshop Elements since around 4. I just started using Elements 11 and have somehow made my organizer so large I can't see the whole photo on my screen. How can I get back to the usual look?
I am wondering how to resize an image using the points around the image when it is on a blank file. (I have multiple pictures on a page I've created - for a scrapbook) Currently, when I use the middle points on an image, it stretches the picture and distorts it. How do I get it so that when I use these points it doesn't stretch the image, but crops it to a different size. (And by doing this, parts of the image is lost, but thats ok)
I am trying to crop or resize an image that is originally 2,122 x 1,415 px | 7.1 x 4.7 in | 300 dpi. I am to crop/resize image to fit 756 x 275 px. However, I don't want to lose the whole image. I would like to use the whole image just adjust it to the dimensions.
How can I accomplish this without creating any distortion or by removing elements by cropping the image?
When resizing the canvas for a photo in some but not all saved images the canvas extension color is greyed out. The particular photo is saved as a Tiff. Why is this and how can I solve the problem.
Whether just dealing w/ a png file (resizing) like attached, or converting to smaller sized icon, for the most part it eliminates the white circle, when reduce to somewhere around 32 x 32 px.
Maybe this is because the reduction makes the given element too small to reproduce?
But, in the reduced versions, there are PARTS of the white line that are clearly visible - but not a solid white line. So if it shows part of the line, as an intermittently dashed line, why can't it show the entire line?
The image was created / saved at 32 bits. It's not only a problem dealing w/ icons - it's reducing png files as well.
I'm thinking it may be better to start off w/ an image close to the finished size. But w/ icons in one icon file ranging from 16 to 64 & even 256 px, that's hard to do.
I tried Nexus font (finally) and don't see why people have mentioned it. I don't like it and uninstalled it quickly.Which font manager do you think is better than Font Nav?
