View 1 RepliesI recently started using PS CS6 and edit the photos in ProPhoto. My stock agency requires flattened TIFF images for submission. They look fine when I send them, however after they load them on the site the colors are very flat. I understand that when saving for web I must save and convert to sRgb. Is there something I need to do to the TIFF file prior to submitting or is this something that needs to be resolved by the agency prior ot loading on the site?
Here are links to
1) a side by side comparison
2) the image as it appears on the stock site

I 'm using XDP pro X and made a logo for some friends of mine and exported it to PDF using commercial printing PDF X. When you look at the pdf the colors are a bit more flat than in the PNG or JPG export. Also you can see an aditional line in the black line arround the stones. How I can get the same colors as with JPG export and get rid of the line?

I am trying to export geometry found in a flat pattern sketch overlaid onto the flat pattern.
Since I am creating the output file manually I gather the flat pattern boundaries and bend center lines for output to a file.
When I add flat pattern sketch entities to the mix they do not overlay properly. What matrix would I have to push the sketch entities through to get them to the same coordinates as the flat pattern?
I have a sketch where I want to fill in clothing areas with a fabric texture, but I'm wondering how to make it so that my textures aren't flat. The bulge effect and "rotate layer" function work, but it's tedious and unrealistic. Is there a tool or plugin?

Filter > Distort > Diffuse Glow came close to the effect I want, but Spherize was off the mark. Anything else I can try?
I have a picture of a vase which of course has the shadow of a 3 dimensional object as well as the warp in the image caused by the image wrapping around the round vase. Is there a way that I can "unwrap" the image from the vase and to have the picture appear flat? I tried manually doing it with warp grid but it was a lot of work and did not look very smooth.

I am looking for a quick and easy way to transform (part of) an image that is in perspective to make it flat (as if you are seeing it "head on").
I have looked online and tried Transform->Skew, Distort, Perspective, as well as Lens Correction, but can't get the results that I want.
I was recently playing around with Vanishing Point. So what I want to do is like the "opposite" of vanishing point. I would like to transform an image from a defined plane to the flat plane of my monitor. I tried defining a plane in an image and also defining a flat plane (i.e. just a rectangle with right angles), and then dragging a selection from one to the other.
The image was transformed but not in the way that I wanted. Is there a clear-cut way of doing this using vanishing point? Or another software that can do this straightforwardly after defining planes in the image?
a normal human potrait picture to flat 2D looking picture. Is like you won't feel the 3D looking. Just like the potrait picture is already flatten. Is somesort of Vector but in vector it doesn't carry the real look. Is like human in a piece of paper look. Flat.

What I am trying to do can be seen in the image I posted called Example.jpg... what I have right now is in the file called cds.jpg.
I can create the 3-d box, no problem, but how would I lay the cd's in a tilted fashion?
I tried all the warp tools, but they don't seem to work to get the job done. I'm sure it must be user error!
I tried perspective, and used Shift and dragged in the bottoms... but I made a royal mess of it.
How should I approach the image? Should I fan the Cd's out in a semi-circle first also?
And should I group this into a smart object first?

In images where there's flat colour (eg book & cd covers), how do you easily get rid of any unwanted noise, without making edges blurry, or resizing down?
Take this image below for example. It's essentially 5 flat colours. How do I remove the jpegging without blurring the colour edges any more than they are? (click to see full size, it doesn't look so bad squeezed down in a forum page)
I tried Filter > Noise >Reduce Noise with no luck. I thought Posterize would work but it's too harsh on the edges.
I've seen this topic on here before. If I choose the type tool, it's just a flat line. I've chosen a black or dark color on a white surface and I've messed around with the size of the type.
What am I doing wrong?

Also, does the number of rows in a grid matter? Because in the picture it's like five rows across and when I create a grid it's at least twenty rows across. I have an art final due in a two days.

I have created parts, assemblies and drawings . How can i create 2D flat cnc drawings of the components for production? i am in woodwork and manufacturing not metalwork so the whole metal facility in inventor is a little redundant.
Description required on the best process or any process to create 2D cnc drawings from the components? Now, when i say drawings, i do not mean CAM integration. I mean 2D .dwg files of the component that would show say rebate lines, drill holes etc.
My next challenge with my rolled cone bottom is to place an oval in the cone that will give the right edges for the lazer pattern. If I create the cut while in the formed shape the edges are not perpendicular to the face in the flat pattern. If I place the cut in the flat pattern, it is suppressed when the part is returned to the formed state.
In other packages I would unfold the part, place the cut, and then refold it retaining the cut. How do we deal with this situation here?
I have several elements that I need to align flat to the ground plane, but due to how i have created them, I am finding it very difficult. They are panels for a geodesic type structure and i want to lay them flat to 3d print them. I have tried adjusting pivot, aligning to object, etc but I cannot get the sections to be completey flat
