Photoshop :: Curve Back To "flat" Image

I got an image wrapping around a vase, wonder if it possible to "unwrap" it. Get it back to a "flat" image so to say, with the most i can actually get back, suspect there would be some unrecoverable things.

Photoshop :: Adding A "dotted" Halftone Pattern

Apr 26, 2008

Remember Chartpak or Zip-A-Tone shading film? I REALLY miss it. Not too sure Photoshop 6.0 fills the bill for what I want to achieve but that's the look I want to add to my existing images. I want to do it similar to "bucket-filling" an existing open area. That's about all I want to do. But there are so many steps needed in order to achieve such a basic look. My question regards how to actually achieve or what steps I need to take in order to add that dotted pattern to my existing images (line art)...
All of the previous tutorials are so complicated, involving so many steps. Are there any actual steps or lessons I can see to try this? Look at the strip For Better Or For Worse...that strip has the best dotted effects...how to achieve that look in PS6?

Photoshop :: Equivalent Of MS Paint "select" Tool?

Mar 6, 2006

I'm trying to enlongate one of the legs of a letter in a phrase. I want to seperate a portion of the bottom and move it down, then fill in the empty space.

I could just use something akin to MS Paints "select" tool where I select a portion and drag it down to where I want it.

What Photoshop tool does this?

Photoshop :: Static Picture, Make Water "shimmer" Or "move"

May 26, 2007

I have a picture of a cabin on a lake, I want to use this as the flash intro for a website. I would like a mist to cover the picture and then float away, and the water in the lake to "shimmer" or make it look as if it is "moving"...kind of like you were looking at a video clip, not a static picture.

Is this something I would do in any of the creative suite programs? or studio 8 programs? or is it something completely different.

Paint.NET :: Can't Make Image Glossy

Dec 2, 2012

I wanted to make text/image glossy in paint.net.so i followed procedure given in this link : URL...

I followed exactly as described on page2-page5.everything goes exactly like mentioned ,except for last page(5) instruction ,which says " When the positioning of the selection looks correct, go to Edit > Erase Selection to delete the base of the gradient. You should now see that you have created a glossy text effect similar to that that you can see on the first page of this tutorial.

underlined part i just cant execute, because that link in paint.net software remains dead and i cant click it.

Paint.NET :: Glossy Button Over Background Image

Jan 6, 2014

I created my avatar using Paint.NET years ago:

It is looking dated (to me), so I had been thinking about sprucing it up.

I decided I would remove the ugly text "jp2code", throw a transparent Glossy Button effect over it, and put my text on top of the glossy button as an Etched Glass effect.

So, I look up and start reading up on a couple of the better glossy button tutorials:

Making glass buttons, and Buttons (ymd:110331)

I have used them both before with great success, but this time proved difficult. Neither of them seems to have a good way to use a background image.

The best approach I found was to create a ymd button using a light gray background and setting the opacity down to 150 or so.

The end result looks no where near as nice as I had pictured in my head:

As you can see, it is very dark, does not look like a Glass Button, and I have not found a good Etched Glass effect.

How to brighten up the Glossy Button without washing out the background?

Photoshop :: Remove "copy" From "save As"?

May 20, 2006

At work, whenever I "save as" a jpg or tif or whatever, it just renames the extension. eg. 'Work.psd' -> 'Work.jpg'. But when I work from home, whenever I "save as" it appends "copy" to the end, which I really hate. eg. 'Work.psd' -> 'Work copy.jpg'. I know this is a trivial matter, but it puts an annoying kink in my workflow having to remove "copy" from the file name during my extremly frequent saves. I've tried to google this, but I'm at wit's end trying to find where the preference is hidden.

I'm trying to make the picture of the text curve to the same arc as the half-circle at the bottom of the canvas.

AutoCad 3D :: Adding 1 / 8" Gaskets To Piping

Oct 21, 2011

I need to add 1/8" gaskets to flanged piping. My primary reason for doing this is so I can get the correct length for the pipe. I was planning on simply pulling the flanges back and 1/8" but when I do that it stretches the pipe. Is there a way to detach pipe from fitting or fittings from fittings so I can move them independently.

Or could I just add 1/8" gaskets in there somehow. I'm of course working in 3d. autocad 2007. I can always create fab-drawings by just doing the math with the current drawings but I want to try to get it in the model, just in case.

I'm stumped as to what I'm doing wrong/not doing right to produce the glow effect.  In other words, the outer/inner glow effect no longer works. Can anyone please help me?

It happens on the same images every time so it must be something about those particular images but I can't figure out what it is.
