I just downloaded Elements 11 Editor for mac OSX 10.9, and when I try to use any of the new filters (comic, Graphic Novel, etc), it crashes. What do I do?
View 1 RepliesI bought PSE 11 for Mac a few months ago, and have finally been able to spend some time examining the features. However, I noticed that my "Sketch" filters do not include the comic or graphic novel options. Were these two omitted from the Mac-version? Or do I have a faulty copy of the program?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to Photoshop Elements 11. Although I can see Adobe Photoshop 11 Organizer in my applications folder I can't see the Adobe Elements 11 Editor application. I discovered that when I was trying to set up Photoshop Elements 11 Editor as an external editor for iPhoto and Photoshop Lightroom4 but can't see the application to select it. The Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 folder in ths applications folder contains a pointer to Photoshop Elements 11, a Support Files folder and and Uninstall alias. Adobe Elements 11 Organizer appears in the applications folder above this folder. So right now when I click on a photo in iPhoto and click on edit, Elements opens up but the photo does not appear in the Elements 11 Editor workspace. Could the upgrade not have installed properly or in the right folder in applications?

PSE 9 crashes when entering the editor, returning a note about 'error 1 - need to re-install PSE 9' which unfortunately I can't do because it rolls-back the attempt to uninstall. There must be something blocking the uninstall required before it will re-install the product. Still trying some ideas like installing on another drive on the computer, but to no avail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA few months ago I bought and downloaded Photoshop Elements 12 from Adobe's website due to my Elements 8 crashing before it opens. For about a month it worked fine, but when I clicked on the logo Elements 12 wouldn't open. I would right-click my images and try to open them in Elements 12 but a window would pop up saying "Photoshop Elements 12 Editor has stopped working" (I use Windows). Using Safe Mode I fixed Elements 12 so that the window appears where I can click between Organizer and Editor. Organizer works fine, but when I click editor the loading bar appears and the "Stopped Working" screen would appear again. how I can use Editor on Elements 12 again?
View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery time I run the editor, the program crashes. The organizer works fine. I have a i7, Win 8.1 16GB RAM and 2GB video memory. Lightroom 5.3 works fine. I have the same problem with the editor of Premiere Elements 12.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with a new install of photoshop elements 10. It turns out this I now have this problem with elements 9 as well. I tried elements 9 in september and it worked great. I revieved elements 10 as a gift and tried to install it and got the following error. I went back and tried to re-run the trial of elements 9 and I am now getting the same error on 9.
Here is the error I get. After launching the editor, either from the welcome screen or directly from

I get the following pop up. As you can see the editor does start, but shortly after it starts I get the popup.
I am running on Windows 7 (Pro) 64bit. My video cards are an AMD Radeon HD 6770 and an integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 with a driver version of 8.920.0, dated 11/9/2011

As I mentioned above, the trial of elements 9 had been working fine. I have made several updates to my system. I can't be 100% certain of the timeline, but I think most were done during the time that I was testing elements 9 and did not break elements 9. i am fairly sure there were a number of updated that were made after my last clean run of elements 9 and before I installed elements 10, namely windows 7 sp1, and various updates, but I was able to install the trial version on a laptop with the same os and same updates.
I cannot delete anything out of PSE11 on my MAC. I get "error deleting media". I tried re-installing PSE. The re-install doesn't ask what you want to do with the current contents like the earlier versions did so I virtually just got a copy of what I already had and still can't delete. My question: How can I wipe PSE off of my computer and reinstall it from scratch? I have backed up everything to external HD?

Before now I have used the Twain interface.If I push the "scan" button on the printer, it says "waiting for PC".If I use the WIA import option, PSE asks which pictures I want to COPY.I copied the Import Export directory from Optional Plugins to Plugins, and selected it in PSE preferences, but the option for Twain does not come up when I select Import.

A friend bought a copy at the same time and she has the plug-in. View 26 Replies View RelatedI have a photograph with a person on it and would like to remove the background so I can cut the person out and place on a white background. I have tried the erasrue tool but when I get too close to the edge it is not differentiating between the person and the background - the colours are not hugely different. I have tried different ways of doing it with discontinuous option. on demos, it points to the sampling option but that doesn't seem to be available as an option. I have also tried using the selection tool but it is difficult/impossible for me to accurately capture the body of the person only as it traces elements of the door behind the person.

I shoot pics with a Cannon 6D and the RAW files are not supported. Is the Adobe DNG Converter 7.3 the right download to make this work?
I can only view photo when 4 or less thumbnails are displayed at a time. When zoomed out to more than 4, photos disappear and hourglass symbol appears.

When I go to FILE and select OPEN and then go to the folder where pictures are stored and then click on the folder nothing appears except the message "No items match your search". I have been using Elements 5 on an XP system and have no trouble selecting the folder, opening it, select the pictures I want to edit and edit them. What am I doing wrong in Elements 11?

But everytime I click a .psd file, it tries to import the file into the Organizer (even if it has already been imported). I would rather start the editor, or the welcome screen.
I am using Illustrator CS6 on OS X 10.8.4. Anything that rasterizes the artwork causes Illustrator to hang. Export (PNG), Save for Web, Filters like Drop Shadow or Gaussian Blur (even when just checking the preview box).
I've read through some discussions that suggested:
– Uninstalling the entire CS6 suite and re-intalling it
– Going into Disk Utitlity and 'Repair Permissions'
– Creating a new user account on my Macbook, deleted the old user account and re-installed the CS6 suite
But none of the above suggestions worked. As soon as I create a new user account Illustrator began to crash again upon export the next of couple days.
I found a thread where it says it's not possible to open multiple images in PSE-11's Camera Raw. But I would like to transfer the adjustments I make for one image in camera raw to another image. Is that possible?

View 6 Replies View RelatedIn PSE 8 I regularly used to round corners of images (as backgrounds or flattened images) by "Select All/Modify/Smooth?10px/Enter/Inverse/Delete" and had perfectly rounded corners to sit on a white background.I cannot for the life of me get the 'Smooth' option to light up in PSE11, it is permanently greyed out. The only 'Modify' option in bold is 'Border'
