Every time I run the editor, the program crashes. The organizer works fine. I have a i7, Win 8.1 16GB RAM and 2GB video memory. Lightroom 5.3 works fine. I have the same problem with the editor of Premiere Elements 12.

View 8 Replies View RelatedPSE 9 crashes when entering the editor, returning a note about 'error 1 - need to re-install PSE 9' which unfortunately I can't do because it rolls-back the attempt to uninstall. There must be something blocking the uninstall required before it will re-install the product. Still trying some ideas like installing on another drive on the computer, but to no avail.

For about a month it worked fine, but when I clicked on the logo Elements 12 wouldn't open. I would right-click my images and try to open them in Elements 12 but a window would pop up saying "Photoshop Elements 12 Editor has stopped working" (I use Windows). Using Safe Mode I fixed Elements 12 so that the window appears where I can click between Organizer and Editor. Organizer works fine, but when I click editor the loading bar appears and the "Stopped Working" screen would appear again. how I can use Editor on Elements 12 again?

I have created a new user account, created restore points on my PC, attempted to change the preference files, all to no avail. The software came installed on my PC, so I'm unable to do an uninstall and reinstall as I don't have the installation CD. The PC manufacturer and Adobe support have been unable to provide me with a product key. fix the "run time error"? Until it's fixed, the product is unusable.

I tried elements 9 in september and it worked great. I revieved elements 10 as a gift and tried to install it and got the following error. I went back and tried to re-run the trial of elements 9 and I am now getting the same error on 9.

As I mentioned above, the trial of elements 9 had been working fine. I have made several updates to my system. I can't be 100% certain of the timeline, but I think most were done during the time that I was testing elements 9 and did not break elements 9. i am fairly sure there were a number of updated that were made after my last clean run of elements 9 and before I installed elements 10, namely windows 7 sp1, and various updates, but I was able to install the trial version on a laptop with the same os and same updates.
Problem with Elements 8 browser ...it crashes every time I try to email photos.

is it worth spending money on this upgrade?

View 5 Replies View RelatedEvery time I open a RAW file in CS6 (at 16-bit depth) it crashes, so I am unable to open RAW files after editing in Camera Raw. The RAW files open OK in Camera Raw and I can edit them, but then opening them from Camera Raw into Photoshop (by clicking on Open Image) causes a crash.
Further background: I also had CS3 (the entire suite concurrently) installed. Thinking that might be a problem, I removed all of CS3 using the Adobe Uninstaller tool to see if that would work. Then I re-installed Photoshop CS6 from scratch and then downloaded and installed all updates.
CS6 still crashes every time I open a RAW file if I open it as 16-bit. If I open a .DNG file directly from Photshop (without using Camera Raw), that crashes too. I'm opening them into Photoshop using Adobe RGB (1998), 16-bit, 3456 x 5184 (17.9 MP), 300DPI.
Thinking it might be a memory issue, I checked free RAM using Activity Monitor and I see it has 3.4 GB free with both CS6 and Bridge open, which should be plenty. However I do see by looking in the crash report from the system log (portion included below), that it appears the crash may have resulted from a failed MALLOC (memory allocation).
Here's the kicker: oddly, when I open the file up in Photoshop at 8-bit depth, it works fine.

I should have the latest drivers, which eliminates what might otherwise be the most likely cause. This happened during beta as well, but I chalked it up to it being a beta version. Did not happen with CS5.5 or previous.

So i hit the little "T" text tool, and i get the generic Windows 7 "This program has encountered a program and needs to close" error. I click out of the error box, and all my work disappears as well as any changed preferences and recently opened files. The same happens when i try to use Image> Adjustments>HDR Toning. Yay. And what's funny is BOTH errors display a fault module of "CoolType.dll."
I have tried EVERYTHING that everyone has posted about on every computer-related forum that i could find. NOTHING has worked at all. I deleted every single font minus the system fonts, including anything mentioning them in the system registry. Tried new copy of the dll file, nothing. Reset Photoshop preferences, nothing. System restore failed. Uninstall/reinstall of entire Adobe Master Collection failed.
Oh, and in the 32-bit version, HDR Toning works but the text tool gives me an error message that "something prevented the text engine from being initialized." And, well, i just don't want to use the 32-bit version.
Everytime I open photoshop to edit a simple photo it crashes. Almost as soon as I press clone tool or any other tool it crashes. Its not my computer, or the space on my computer or my video drives. I was going to uninstall then re-install but I am scared because I have the CD but not my serial number.

Camera is a Sony HDR-HC5E. The only format I am offered is MPEG. Sometimes it begins to capture, other times there is no picture on screen and nothing is captured, most times I get a NOT RESPONDING warning and Video Studio just freezes. My Animation Graph Editor is only showing one animation curve (for one attribute) at a time after I have set multiple keyframes for the character set and various attributes. The other day Autocad crashed repetedlty when entering the block editor. I double-click on the block, the block definition dialogue box opens and the program freezes - I get the error message "Autocad LT has stopped running..."
I tried reopening the drawing, exploded the block and recreated it - problem solved.
Now this is happening again, except when try to explode and recreate the block using the BLOCK command, when the block definition dialogue box open - the program also freezes.
This only happens when I try to edit one particular block in the drawing.
i have the Pro version (purchased) with SP 1 (VS X4) But i have one error all the time, it crashes at exit, all the time.
I cleaned up temp folders, run disk cleaner in windows, run CCleaner and other utils.I also deleted all registry entries to VS X4 i could find, reinstalled VS X4 with SP1, but same problem.

So I have this issue where opening the compact material editor a second time causes 3ds max design to totally crash. I cant figure out why it is doing that. I have tried reinstalling the software, even tried re-dowloading it and nothing works, have all the service packs and so on. Funny thing is that it works when using the slate editor. I can recreate the bug every time. Just open 3ds max design 2014 x64. Press material editor (assuming its in comact mode), close the editor and then open it again. Immediatly the program will crash to desktop, telling me that the progam has stopped responding.
