View 3 Replies View RelatedJust installed elements 12 (on windows 8), built a catalog but can't load jpg files taken on an LG phone. The pictures load into picture viewer and into elements editor (at which point they are then in the catalog), but I can't import directly.
nothing was imported, the file or folders selected to import did not contain any supported file types or the files are already in this catalog.
the files are jpg and they are not in the catalog.
Ive noticed (scanning the forum) that other people have had issues with LG phones in previous versions of elements
Windows 8 operating system (upgraded from 7) PSE & premier installed from disk, purchased from Amazon.
Organizer has sometimes worked, but the last two times (after re-booting), it has failed.
Out of space for back up, but I can't fix that without getting into the catalogs.
When I attempt to get a photo from a folder using organizer, some target folders disappear from the screen when I click on it.

View 1 Replies View Relatedpath for importing photos which have been sent by email from varying sources such as Iphones, Ipads, etc. These photos are easily opened from the email in the Elements 11 Editor mode. However, I have tried a dozen ways to get them moved from Editor to Organizer. Also, I am having difficulty creating a folder for these types of photos. Those that I load from my camera create their own folders which I can rename. The paths I have had to utilize are ridiculously complex.

I find I can duplicate the photo and then drag and drop it, but each step takes literally a minute to complete (in explorer it is 1 second or less). To move a hundred photos one at a time to different folders would take quite a while.
so I tried to pull them in from the FILE button get new files and it won't because the photo exists in another folder in the catalog.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been learning elements 9 and when i save an edit lots of times the organizer shows it as a torn or broken photo. When i bring it back into full edit, the picture is there but sometime i get the wrong one as i can not see the photo.
The save or save as did not automaicly put in the suffix. Added that and it showed up. Maybe some one more advanced than i can collaborate that finding.
When deleting photo's from the organiser, PSE asks if i only want te remove the file from the organizer catalogue, or as well from the disk. In fact, i always want to do that. Now, it takes 2 clicks to confirm to delete a photo, which is time-consuming.
is it possible to delete photo's from the organiser as well from the harddisk with one click? (or, just by clicking 'delete'.)
I have upgraded from pse9 to 11 and after selecting a photo in organiser then viewing in full screen and enlarging to 100% then exiting, organiser loses the highlight and reverts to the first photo. This also occurs when the photo is edited and saved you have to find where the editedd photo has gone to, it is time consuming when you have a large number of photos in the organiser. pse9 did not do this.Also pse11 does not sort photos properly by the shot date especially when the photos ard edited

By the way, Elements 9 is so defective, it will not even let me back up my organizer in 9. The 9 organizer would let me select a photo, bring it into the editor, print it and then it would crash... then I had to start all over again... the darn thing crashes as it was prone to problems that adobe ignored. It always finds them, frequently the same, imports them and then tells me they're already in the Organizer. During this process, which may last 5-15 minutes, I can't use the program.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIt happens to me about 50 % of all time when I'm using the Paper Size dialog to crop an image:
No matter which alignment I select in the Placement drop-down box, PhotoPAINT uses the opposite direction.
This doesn't always happen, but it happens about every second time I use that dialog (and I use it often). It seems the error occurs randomly, probably not initializing some internal program memory location correctly.
