Photoshop Elements :: 12 Installation Fails With Error DF 037?
Dec 15, 2013
During installation of Elements 12under Windows 7, while installing Shared Technologies installation stops with error DF 037, and then reverses the entire process. I found the corresponding errors in the installation log: Unable to delete a number of directories under: c:Program DataAdobeCamera RawLens profiles1.0Tokina I deleted these directories manually, but the problem persists and the deleted directories are back.
A few months ago I successfully loaded Elements 11 onto my desktop. As we are going on holiday decided to load also onto my laptop. As laptop does not take discs, I decided to download as a trial and then put in serial number. It seemed to download alright but every time I have tried to instal I get the message "Installation failed to initialize".  This has happened many times and I have tried rebooting etc. At one stage they got me to download Adobe Application Manager, but it was not explained, or identified, why. Adobe Application Manager seems to be for more advanced Adobe products. I have also got Adobe Download Assistant, which seems appropriate.
I had PSE9 & PRE9 installed on my Windows 8 machine. Upgraded to Windows 8.1, disliked it, reinstalled 8.0 and am trying to put my computer back to where it was. No problem with CS4 re-installation but PSE9 & PRE9 reach almost the end of the installation process, then roll back the installation.
My PSE 6 ceased to run. I have uninstalled it using the provided uninstaller. I have tried to re-install but keep getting this message:  Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library runtime error Program E:/Adobe Photoshop Elementssetup.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way..I have PSE 10 installed and it runs OK BUT I prefer the older v6 which has Twain support for my scanner
I can't open Elements 11 after installation. The welcome screen opens, but choosing either Editor or Organiser has no result. If I try to run Editor directly from the Elements 11 folder in Progam File (x386) I receive the error message "Error 5". I have uninstalled and reinstalled (as administrator), but I continue to receive the same message. I am running Windows 7 (64bit), and other Adobe products run fine (Lightworks, Acrobat).
I am trying to install CS3 on a new Macbook Pro Retina 13" with Mavericks. All of the CS3 apps except Photoshop installed correctly. Photoshop fails and when I try to launch it returns a message that it cannot be initialized because the disk is not available. I have tried reinstalling it and the installation fails. I tried launching the old copy from the previous computer's disk (now in USB enclosure) and I get the same error message. I tried copying it over to the new HD without success. Tried phone support because it's an older version. CS3 is supposed to be compatible with Mavericks. Since the older copy and the new installation return the same message, I suspect (just a guess) some software issue, perhaps prefs or other files copied over from the old installation.
I get a message on my computer that there's an update to install, but when I attempt to install it, it goes through the motions of installing itself, then says it couldn't install itself and that I have to reinstall the original product so that it can install itself. I'm very reluctant to go through the whole installation process all over again, so I'm curious if there's any other way to get these updates. This is a registered product by the way, in my name.
I am trying to install the trial for CS4 Extended and no matter what I've tried the installation always fails. I am running Vista64 w/ AMD64 5000+ dual core and 4 GB RAM. Any ideas on how I can get the installation to actually install the program? It doesn't give me any specific error code, it just says that my installation failed and asks me to restart my computer and try again.
This problem has existed since I purchased a replacement laptop and reinstalled PSE 8..I have a little less than 8,000 photos and I back up to an External HD..I have read the earlier extensive discussion on this topic which seemed inconclusive as to whether it could be resolved. The problem seems to exist in PSE 8
After installing Windows 7 (not an upgrade), the Installation routine stops on The first disk and Then declares a Pop Up Error 1395: An error occured during the installation of assembly component.
The install routine then executes a "roll back" functions and shuts down. What do I do to re-install my software? Of course, I do have the 24 digit installation SW Codes as verified on my Adobe member account
I've tried to install Lightroom 5.0 and, just now, Lightroom 5.2. The installer fails with a warning: "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.2 can't be installed on this disk. An error occurred while evaluating JavaScript for the package." Not exactly clear. It also displays a warning for my primary drive and for the installer volume. Â When I look in the installer log I see the following entry: Â Oct 12 13:34:26 TM-MBP-2.local Installer[721]: JS: Package Authoring Error: Exception thrown while running volume check. TypeError: 'null' is not an object (evaluating 'my.target.systemVersion.ProductVersion') Â When I look into the console for errors I found the following entry: Â 10/12/13 1:34:23.000 PM kernel[0]: HFS: Vol: Lightroom 5.2 Very Low Disk: freeblks: 1084, dangerlimit: 1178 Â Apparently the Lightroom installer is complaining about the amount of disk space available. The drive I'm trying to install it has 134 gb of space available.
Ive been trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS4 trial for the past 3 days. The only reason I want to try it is because of its ability to create textures directly on models. But whenever I try to install, I get this error"Adobe Drive CS4Error:Error 1603. Fatal error during installation." Dispite it not saying that Adobe Photoshop CS4 having an error, I still get this screen ....

I tried on another xp laptop and got the same error message. The disk looks clean with no scratches etc...

I have purchased & installed Adobe Design Premium CS4 three months ago on a machine in USA office and have not registered it. I had taken a copy of the Adobe Design Premium CS4 DVDs to India. I tried to install the same Adobe Design Premium CS4 on a machine in India office. I am getting the error message as "Wrong serial key".

I bought Photoshop CS2 some time ago. I got a new mac (OS X 10.8.2) and when I'm trying to install it I introduce the cd, accept and after it copies the files, appears "The installation failed" The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.
Now no save for web operation completes due to an error "Could not complete this operation. An unknown operating system error has occured."NOTHING has changed on the system. Â I've trashed Photoshop pref... all of them.I've reinstalled the Mac OS 10.7.5 combo update.I've rebooted to a different drive and repaired disk and permissions (no issues found).I've Safe Booted.I've disabled ALL plug ins. Last weekend I installed Gimp 2.6.11. The installation went fine. However During the startup process of Gimp I get a message from file wmf.exe that icuuc40.dll is missing. As suggested I removed and installed Gimp again. I still get the message. Gimp works fine.
What is this file and how can get rid of the message?
I have Windows 7. Gimp is installed in Program Files (x86).
I have been using Ulead VideoStudio / Corel VideoStudio since the 4SE version and made all upgrades, up to X4.On April 1, 2012, I purchased then the UG from VS X4 Pro to VS X5 Pro and downloaded the software through the link provided by Corel.
I start the installation, enter the S/N of X5 and X4 (because I purchased an upgrade). But installation always stops with an error message at the following step: "Please wait while we configure Microsoft Visual C+++ 2005 Redistributable"
The error message is: "1: ALLUSERS property is not 1 - this MSM cannot be used for a per-user or fallback-to-per-user install".
What I already tried so far...I already uninstalled VS X4 and used the "VS_Cleanup", but the error persists. Meanwhile, I contacted Corel support, and they recommended to uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ and then to re-install it. I followed their instructions and uninstalled all instances of Microsoft Visual C++ and then re-installed the latest version, i.e. Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 (x64).However, the same problem persists.
Meanwhile, I tried many other approaches: I moved the installation file (.exe file) to the desktop and tried the installation from there, I tried the installation as another user (equally with administrator rights), I tried to install under Windows Safe Mode (this failed, since some necessary drivers or software was apparently not loaded), removed any remaining traces of VS X4 manually and made a registry clean up, etc.Note also that all latest updates of Windows and related software are made.
I also re-downloaded the installation file, in order to make sure there is no problem with a corrupt installation file.
Video standard: PAL/SECAM, manually selected during the installation process.
