View 8 RepliesBasically, how are these kinds of sites made? I mean the detail and the overall layout and design looks amazingly painstaking. I can design websites fairly well (or so i think :| ) but nothing close to the amount of detail seen on that site. Are websites like these made by hand from scratch? Photoshop perhaps? A 3D app? or what?

View 10 Replies View Relatedwhere I could view/download a comprehensive color wheel or color flow (color making) chart? I'm looking for something that says/depicts "yellow + blue = green, black + white = gray" etc. etc.
I used to have a color flow chart that depicted what colrs made what, and it was very handy--told me what colors made flesh tones, shades, tints, nuetrals, opposites, what 3 colors made 1 color etc., but I've lost it somewhere along the line.
I was having a discussion where I suggested our Studio people to implement the use of detailed Photoshop history logs saved as metadata inside the file. I find it to be a great tool to track changes made to an image since, in our regular workflow, different people can make changes to a single file before this one gets used in a layout. The answer I got was that it may slow down the editing/saving process of the files and create bigger files. Since it's only metadata, I don't think it would use much more memory/processor when actually working on an open file and I don't think it would add much to an image file size.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an image of 4 greyhounds, and i want to vectorize them in high detail so i can use it within a logo for a web project. The image is: http://www.valkama.org/blog/uploaded...ama-739767.jpg
I have been using photoshop for a good year or 2 and have used the vector tools to create a number of vector images but nothing as detailed as this.
If someone could answer the questions below and maybe offer some personal advice that would be great:
1 - Would it be better to use a package designed for vectoring rather then using photoshop. I heard from a few people that Photoshop isn't the best tool for the job.
2 - How long would something like this take? A few hours? A day? Like i said i havn't done anything like this before even though i worked as a graphic designer for 8 months.
3 - Where would i start? Im thinking start with the dogs bodies, them move onto the coats (the coat with the number on it) etc etc, leaving the fine detail till last.
I took a picture on my phone when I was out, and it's kinda.. blurry and slightly pixelated. I was just wondering if theres anyway to make the image much more detailed - basically a better quality of image.

View 16 Replies View Relatedif there is a way to get detailed file information. I'm teaching a course this quarter and need to review about 300 dwg files/week for homework and labs. Obviously, cheating is a major issue (copying other files). Students are getting a bit more clever and can get around windows data (accessed/modified/created stamps). I think AutoCAD has more detailed information related to the dwg file that I can extract to compare files.

When I'm doing a large import, all I can see is the little white progress bar in the upper left. Since it sometimes gets hung up on an operation, it doesn't provide enough feedback about the processes.
I'd prefer to be able to double click that and see a full activity report in a new window of what is getting imported as it's happening, with a separate progress bar for each item. I'd like to see this for all other actions as well, but importing would be my priority.I requesting a new feature? I'm running Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.3 RC [858820].
I have been using the "Create Surface Profile" to create cross sections of a road at various points using separate alignments (at the various points). I was wondering if there was a more sophisticated way to do this? When comparing my work to other plans it seems that this method is juvenile.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow can you force the geometry of reference parts to print behind to print behind your visible parts. I have my reference parts print out on a light gray layer to be shown indistinct on a drawings, but it prints over my object lines in effect hiding them. This is even true if a reference part is hidden. Then hidden line will print over the object lines as well.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way of quickly and easily toggling the visibility of the line from shown from the base view to the detailed view ? I just want to flick it off so I only see the detailed view with no line attached.

I hate 3d orbit with a passion on autoCad / Revit. It is impossible to do detailed design work on a small scale because every time you need to pan around a corner junction for example the whole screen shifts and you lose what you were doing. I understand the way that the 3d orbit tool works is that it picks the pivot point according to the closest object to the cursor.
This however does not work at all well. It always picks the same point on the screen no matter where you are working or where the cursor is pointing. There are times when it does work, however the majority of the time it doesn't. This is where sketchUp is good - the orbit tool is excellent along with its perspective projection. It seems to intuitively pin point exactly where you wish to pivot. Unfortunately everything else about sketchup i hate.
Remove the text and the white background and fill it with its respective background ?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having problems when I lasso round a specific part of a photo taken with a white background and then try to add that part of the image to a plain #000000 black background.
I always seem to get a white outline around the image when I place it on the black background, even when its on ZERO feathered. I don't like using feathered as it adds a smudge round the outside of the image.
I have some text documents in PDF format and would like to edit it in photoshop CS5, but each time I open them up in photoshop, the background seems to be transparent (tiny grey and white tiles), which is very eye tiring when editing/annotating with a wacom pen, how to fill the background total white?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently saw on TV that someone had 2 nearly identical images - one with just the background, another one from exactly the same point of view featuring an object before the background.
He was then able to subtract the background so only the object in front remained. Is that possible with Photoshop as well? I have version CS3.
I am using my CS2 on OSX and when I view the image in a full screen mode the color around the image is grey, well it used to be grey but it is blue now. How do I change it back to neutral grey?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was asked to cut out the background from a logo to make it transparent so the logo would look nice on a variety of backgrounds. I've been given a good quality jpeg file.
What I did was I selected (by colour) the background (white), inverted the selection, copied it and pasted as a new image.
It's all fine (the logo itself doesn't have any other elements) but there's still some whiteish/greyish outline around certain elements of the logo.
If I were to do it manually, it'd probably take ages. What would be the best way to accomplish it?
I want to change a 1920-1080 p background, into a 1920 - 1200 background.
I don't want to re-size it or lose image quality, the background for this can be easily replicated through some simple editing (drawing strait lines with the paint brush tool, and basically filling in to expand the background) Is there a way to do this? Here is the picture I want to change:
[URL].....
I just want it so that the pin-wheel design extends outward as to make the entire image 1920-1200, rather then the 1920-1080 it is now. (without losing image quality of the center wheel.)
Unless I hide it. I've never had an issue before with CS3 and CS4. When I clicked out of photoshop, i was in the program behind it.

I'm a bit new to this, I have a photo of my daughter and she has long hair and it's a bit wispy at times, what is the best way to extract her from the background, wispy hair and all.
I've tried extract but it didn't work very good. I don't mind if I have to buy another program to interact with PS to make it work.
ok.....so i wanna make a opening animation for my flash where different parts of my button move (im making my button in photoshop) but i need to save the image with no background....just the image i made.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIm on a MacBook Pro and I just installed Photoshop CS3. Its all fine n dandy, but the actual photoshop window bugs me. There is no background for the application. so if I'm working on something, switch to firefox to look at something, then switch back to photoshop I can still see the firefox window.
How can I add a background? I cannot stand this, It distracts my eye from the actual document.
I've look through the options and I cannot find anything, awhile ago I found some 3rd party mac software that added a background to any app, but I can't find it again.
