View 3 RepliesEvery time I purge my drawing several plot styles show to be deleted. I don't reconize them, one I see offten is called Invisible ink. I started to try to use it to see what its about. I can't seem to find the right track and use this plot style.
View 2 Replies View Relatedan old box of Crane Museo paper to make some prints on my Epson 3800. I downloaded and installed the Museo profile from Crane almost a year ago, and it shows up in the Windows/sys32/spool/drivers/color directory, along with all my other profiles.
But when I tried to soft proof the image in CS3, the Museo profile did not appear in the list in the Soft Proof dialog. On closer look, there were a few other profiles that also failed to appear.
Is there any way to manually add these profiles to the Soft Proof list? I always thought that the Soft Proof drop down list just picked up the entire "...../color" directory?
I can't find my camera profiles in acr...only shows matrix. I have used them in the past but now they are gone.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am using lightroom 5 on a windows 8 pc and can not get any camera calibration profiles to show up. I have 14 profiles for my Sony SLT-A65 in my cameraprofiles folder and a corresponding camera folder with also has these profiles. I have checked all file attributes and the only thing I see differrent from some other camera profiles is the file ownership is adminisrator instead of system. Also Photoshop does not see any camera calibration profiles either. I have done a lightroom installation repair from original disk which didn't fix. I have all my lens profiles which work fine. I have tried renaming profiles from SLT-A65V to SLT-A65 to match what shows up on displayed file information.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have installed X-Rite's Colochecker Passport for a long time, and a im using it to create camera-profiles in every shoot.
But now the profiles don't show up any more in LR 5.3.
I have checkes the desitnation-folder. And in windows explorer i can see every profile. I have downloaded the x-rite dng profile-manager, and it also shows up all profiles.
How do you get pipes to show on the profiles when there is a side pipe from a different alignment that enters an inlet?
I went to Profile View Properties / Pipe Networks and checked the side pipe to draw and changed the style overide to crossing, but nothing shows in the profile.

I'm having a problem with profile shortcuts showing up under multiple alignments. I have 16-alignments and profiles in their own drawings. I didn't create the shortcuts right away as I was still figuring out how I wanted the project dir structure. When I had that solved, I started creating the shortcuts. When I checked them, some of the alignments had up to 6-profiles from other alignments listed under them. One alignment had 3-profiles, and not one of them was for the alignment.
I removed all the profile shortcuts and started bringing them in again. Same problem. This was after shutting C3D down, cleaning up the tmp files and restarting.
There are shortcuts for 36 other alignments, and none of them appear to be affected, only these last 16. Validate Data Shorcuts doesn't do anything.
Trying to find ICC Profiles. I am a college student going for my BS in Photography. Our assignment is to take photo paper from three different manufactures and download the ICC Profiles for each of our papers chosen. Let me tell you this is not as easy as it seems! Where I can find the profiles for Adobe PS for different types of photo paper. Each manufacture only gives the ICC profile for their products. No scanned profiles are available.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having some issues with surface profiles on a dreffed alignment no updating dynamically.
Currently it requires me to set them to static, then back to dynamic and they update.
I am well aware of the issue of dreffed surface profiles staying static. I am using the work around of dreffing in the surface and sampling in the drawing using the dreffed alignment.

After I closed PS CS6 today, I opened it again to find that most of my downloaded brushes were gone! Only a few remained.
I've begun saving files in the photoshop folders itself so if this happens again, I'll be prepared but is this normal?

Precise symptoms of your problem:
i saved the psd file last night and closed my computer, today morning i woke up and found this file "unopenable" then i found out it said that file space on disk is 0. and when i tried to open it again it says file location not found. then i restarted my pc. and the file was gone, i tried to find it with the search function and i only found a shortcut file with no valid source. i dont know what caused this, if it was photoshops fault or the computers fault, anyone know anything i can do to recover this file?
some of my plugins and cannot get them back, i was trying to clear some space but didnt mean these!! i need these for a project! is there a place i can download plug ins for photoshop cs for mac!
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was working with a comic illustration, straight 10 hours in a .PSD file without closing it (Of course I saved REALLY often). That includes making path layers in the early process. And when I was painting with those lines generated from paths, I noticed that all of my path layers are gone!! Deleting the paths must be some kind of accidents (like hitting del. key trying to delete contents in the layers, but it deleted some unintentionally selected paths instead. I want a fix to this.) but I can't figure it out how all of them are deleted.
All of my progresses depends on those paths, and that means I will have to repeat the 10 hours all over again.
I have tried many ways to recover it but nothing works:
1. The history state which I was making those paths can't be recovered. It was deleted. If I went to the snapshot state, it's only a raw scanned draft. in other words, the history state is somewhere between snapshot and earliest history state.
2. I tried a file recovery tool. It could dig up temp files but they are all useless since they are made each time I was saving, and I can go back only half an hour with that. This is a case which "saving often" backfires. Also I don't know which file else I should recover.
3. I looked in PSAutoRecover folder and found nothing. I have not been monitoring the folder so I can't tell if auto-saves were made or not, but I am sure auto-save was turned on.
4. There are also temp files in the root of cache drive. I tried copying them into another drive but it said Photoshop is using the file, and they were all gone once I unlocked it with force.
I have been working on a file for the last few weeks and save on a very regular basis and also have the autosvae option selected in preferences but Photoshop has crashed and completely deleted the file off the face of the earth?
I am working on a very important project and have a design session very soon and am now left with no .psd file to work with? I have looked for it everywhere and there isn't anything?
C:UsersNameAppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop CCAutoRecoverFOLDER IS EMPTY!!
all i have been left with is the psED89.tmp file!
How do I get back a layer that I accidentally deleted? (I can't undo or revert because I have already saved the document since.)
View 5 Replies View RelatedI suddenly can't use my Photoshop CS5. In the middle of working on it, I suddenly got an error message saying "Could not initialize Photoshop because the preferences file was invalid. (It has been deleted.) View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I just tried to sync my presets to the Cloud, and now all of my presets are gone. They are also gone from the folder on my hard drive. It appears the "sync" decided that what was on the cloud was the "current" state which I assume is the default set that is installed with PS CC. I can get most of them back because they are still in my CS6 folder, but the syncing thing would really be nice since I work on two different machines. preferences seems correct and it's set to always ask when there are conflicts.

I've read up on a few older posts about the same thing. I uninstalled/reinstalled from disk but the same thing happens.
When I save an image as a jpeg from the "Save As" dropdown menu (NOT save for web) all of my paths are gone when the image is repoened.

Where do pictures go after they are automatically deleted from your camera after a download? I thought I imported them into my Adobe Photoshop Elements but it failed and then it deleted them automatically from my camera card! I need these pictures back!

I have some ABR files (blue, red, & brown numbered files) that I have combined to make new ABR files (blue, red & brown corresponding files marked as "M"). The problem is, after creating & saving my new ABR files, I went into the Presets/Brushes folder & deleted the original individual (blue, red & brown numbered files) ABR files. HOWEVER, as you can clearly see, they're still in my selection list in CS6!
The whole reason for doing this was ease of accessing certain types of brushes & to clean that list! If I can't figure out how to remove the DELETED ABR files from the list, it will be huge by the time I'm done!!! I have closed & re-opened CS6, hoping that will "refresh" my brush selection list. As you can see, it most definitely has not.
my photoshop cs6 will not start because preference file was somehow deleted.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen i rename files in batch in Bridge CS6 the extension from my files is deleted, leaving me with exec files. Sometimes the new name is given but the extension disappears and other times the new name i wanted to give my files appears in place of the extension.
I have had this problem for a while in combination with a cache problem (every time when opening bridge it asked me to purge the cache). I seemed to be solved by renaming the cache folder cache_old and creating a new one but now the batch renaming problem has returned.
I have been working on a layered PSD file putting together a website visual for a few weeks. Yesterday I went to save a copy of the document and in that process the file went a bit weird and some text changed colour and 5 layers had a portion of them deleted (all photos in the header area, like in the attached image). It's happened twice since yesterday, but can't seem to recreate it.
