Dec 4, 2012I am new to RAW file editing. I noticed that DNG files can be edited both in Camera Raw and in Photoshop itself. Which is better for maximazing the advntages of RAW files?

Nov 24, 2013editing a RAW file. I cant get the lighting to look right (I wasnt paying attention to my camera settings when taking the photo). I didnt know how to adjust the lighting and make the photo look nice and presentable to the girls in the photo.

Jun 6, 2013I don't know what I've done, but I must have changed something in the preferences that has created a problem.
After completing my edits on a jpg file and flattening it, when I go to save it, Photoshop is changing it to a PSD file instead of saving it as the original file. If I manually select jpg it saves it as a copy instead of overwriting the original file.

Dec 2, 2012It happened already twice. I am working in one of my layers, I am changing the levels , the image in that layer gets black. I cant undo or go back in history. In the history pallette the original picture at the top goes black. If I try to save, all the layers get corrupted, with missing arbitrary squares in all of them. The first time it happens the missing areas where white, the second time they change to black. The top picture in the history pallette maches the black or white color.
The small picture in the icon in my desktop looks normal , but when open is tottally corrupted. If I have other files open, all of them get corrupted also if I tried to save.

Feb 13, 2011I have done a lot of editing with VideoStudio Pro on current system but never ran into somthing like this:
I have a 2.7G file that I pulled from my DVR (mpg). Plays well on my ThinkPad but when I try to load it into VideoStudio Pro X3 (13.6.2.69) the software stops responding (get the "not responding" message) and I have to end the process.
I updated to SP3, no luck. Uninstalled and reinstalled VideoStudio, no luck. Search Corel and various boards and found nothing about file size being an issue. Even adjusted virtual memory settings.
Photoshop :: CS6 - Editing File With Many Text Layers
Aug 29, 2012I've got a serious issue since the begining of my Photoshop CS6 installation.It's not happening to all my files but few are enough !
I explain myself : When I open a file with many text layers and when I try to edit one of them the text is instantly remplaced by another random text present in this same file.Then the file seems to be corrupted because when I open it with CS5 it does the same thing.
I can't re-edit those files and I must rewrite all those text layers, this is not possible to handle that in a professional way.I tried to launch the script for texts crashes but nothing works.
Photoshop :: Card Delay CPU When Editing RAW File?
Jan 10, 2013For coping with RAW file picture, I would like to update my computer from PentiumD cpu+1g memory to i5 CPU+8g memory. However I still have a graphic card with Nvidia GT210 chip and 128M memory on board.
I just want to know whether the graphic card can cope with Photoshop and lightroom? I don't want the card delay the CPU when editing the RAW file in Photoshop.

Dec 24, 2011I just upgraded to Photoshop 10 from 3. Now, when I am editing a few days worth of pictures one after the other, I go to open the next file (picture) the computer takes me back to the top (first one listed) each time. Many times I am editing over 100 pictures in the file, and now have to scroll down each time and that takes forever. I have to remember what number picture I was on. In my earlier version, the compiter "held" the spot where I was so it was easy to select trhe next picture to edit.

Jul 26, 2013I'm having trouble with editing RAW images from my Nikon D3000. I've downloaded the DNG Converter from Adobe and converted all my files to DNG. However, when I opened them on Photoshop Elements 4.0, they turned out VERY grainy! (Even though all the shots are clear when viewed on my camera)
Also, I could not save my files as JPG (After converting them to DNG). The only options were TIFF, PNG, JPF (?).

Nov 17, 2006I just (re)installed Photoshop on my computer after a fresh install of Windows (damn that 2 year rule...) and now the color white on the screen comes out as a light yellow. When i save the files and view it in another program, or print it, it comes out as white, and the numbers (whatever they're called) are set to 255, 255, 255, yet it still comes out as a yellow.

Feb 21, 2013I have some TIFF files I need to do some adjustments on. Mostly darkening the sky. Where the sky meets the foreground it is made up of tops of Spruce Trees.
My question is, can/should I use the adjustment brush in Lightroom to do this, or should I make a layer in Photoshop to do this?
I have found that when using the adjustment brush over the tops of Spruce trees, it is best to just paint over the whole thing, or else it will look artificial. Not sure if doing this in Photoshop would make my life easier?

I am importing into iPhoto and then copying the RAW files into a folder designated only for LR3.I've downloaded the Adobe Camera Raw 6.6 update and the LR3 Mac 3.6 update.what I am doing incorrectly as Adobe states LR3 supports Canon's CR2 RAW files.
CorelDRAW X6 :: Editing Text Off A PDF Image File
Jun 5, 2013I have been given the source pdf image file for a product label by a designer, so I can edit things myself.
I am able to remove the text, move things around on the pdf image using Corel Draw, but I want to edit the actual customised text to name it differently, in the exact same style as previously used by the designer.
E.g. it currently says "Green Tea", but I want it to say "Coffee".
Is there a way to do this at all using any of the tools?

Sep 20, 2011I'm having a problem using a video file created in FInal Cut. A friend of mine made a movie that I need to use to either edit or more importantly just create a DVD with in VIdeo Studio. I had him convert the MOV file to MPEG 2 The file, both video and audio, plays perfectly in Windows Media Player, but when you bring it into Corel it doesn't see any audio.

When I took the MOV file into VS X4 --- it worked fine on the time line. I then wanted to burn a DVD. I selected File, New, Share, Create DVD, added the media to the project, for disc template manager, I chose best mpeg 2 lpcm, for MPEG properties for file conversion I customized the settings to Encoder driver - Ulead MPEG NOW encoder, frame type lower field first, 720 x 480, 16:9, I brought the quality under media type up to 100%, video data rate 8000, variable, and the audo to LPCM.... The DVD burned but the file LOST a lot of quality,.... even played with less quality on preview as soon as you brought it into the CREATE DVD window.
Whether the properties use to convert MOV to MPG were correct? Why Corel doesn't see the audio on that file and windows does? Creating DVDs from MOV files? Did I set the DVD up correctly? Interestingly.... he created a DVD for me, and I could "rip" the file into Corel and it created a perfect MPG that was 1/3 of the size of the original mpg he gave me. Also, Windows DVD maker, a basic program read the MPEG he created and burned a perfect DVD with AUDIO and VIDEO that Corel could not.

Illustrator :: Cannot Open PSD File To Layers In CS6 For Editing?
Mar 27, 2013I need to edit a Photoshop PSD file that has layers.
I believe vector lines can be edited in Photoshop but I only have PS Elements and can only edit the text.
I do have Illustrator CS6 but when I open the PSD file it will not open to separate layers, even if I choose this in the open options.
Maybe Illustrator cannot do this?
