Photoshop Elements :: Creating 11x14 Poster Using Multiple Photos?
Jan 26, 2014I have created numerous posters in the past on an older version of PS. I am currently using Elements 11. I need to make 13 different posters for a team party by Thursday evening. I want to make 11x14 posters using a photo in the background, and add 4 small ones to it.   I put hours into creating these posters, and when I had them printed, the large photo was fine, but the smaller ones are very blurry. I have never had this problem when I have done these in the past......I could understand the big photo getting pixely, but the small ones are usually very sharp.Â

I have a picture that I want to use and I want to have about 18 or 20 pictures surrounding the main picture. Then I need to be able to type in names alphabetically with their table number....
I then need to be able to have the picture printed poster size. I am trying to use the layers but the layered pic covers like half the main picture.

Feb 13, 2013I've been able to use the contact print area in earlier lightroom programs to create nice grid posters of events, characters in a play, etc. without any type under the images ie frame #s etc.  I'm stuck in LR4 and can't get rid of the type and also can't seem to expand out the images to fill the white space in the poster to have just a grid, perhaps with some dark lines around the images.Is there a way to do this in LR4? or do I have to do the whole thing in Photoshop or in design.

Nov 28, 2013Look at this picture, it's a still from the TV series Dexter, and season 1 and 2 of Dexter are somewhat sacred to me as far as cinema goes. The image is taken from season 2, where a love interest of Dexter creates a painting that totally embodies his character. It would be amazing to have it printed and mounted in my entertainment room!
The image is quite raw, and I have such little experience with any kind of photo editing that I wouldn't have any clue what would need to be done to improve the quality or resolution for a decent sized poster, but Any kind of artistic flair is totally welcome as long as the essence of the image/character remain.

Paint.NET :: Image Manipulation - Camera Flash Effect?
Jan 6, 2014I'm not really an artist or good with image manipulations, but I am learning how to create games on my own (using Unity3D currently) and have to create some basic art or animations myself when I can't find it available for free online, and I do that in paint.net.
Right now I'm working on an asteroids clone to further my learning and what I want to do is when the player ship spawns in the game, I want to have a little flash so that it doesn't look as if the ship just appears out of nowhere.
I figured that the closest thing to what I want looks like a camera flash and have been looking for this online but have yet found nothing. I've searched these forums, too, in both Plugins and the tutorials for creations and distortions/modifications but have also come up empty.
There was a plugin for a lens flare effect, but is not what I need, and one plugin that creates glitter/sparks, but that one seems to only work when you have a suitable image to work with, whereas I need something that creates this kind of flash by itself.

Feb 27, 2014This is part of a larger issue with DPS that necessitates placing a static version of the animation (the poster) into InDesign that shows prior to the animation. Not doing this, there is a white flash when the page first opens and before the animation can get loaded. Unfortunately the poster image from Edge is noticeably lighter than the animation itself.

Aug 22, 2008I have 750 gif scanned images of maps. The problem is that I need to turn a border of 75 pixels right round each image either black or white. The image has to stay the same the same size, just the first 75 pixels all around have to be either black or white.
So how do I:
A make the border black or white?
B automate it so I don't have to do them all by hand?

Oct 14, 2003I want to become really good at it, but don't know where to start! Everytime i try something, i try to blend different parts together via cut and paste. I try to smooth it in to make it look like the original photo, and no matter what strategy i use (Smudge tool, pencil tool and manually put in the colors, etc.) the area turns out rough or too blurry?

Nov 24, 2012Back in Photoshop CS3 (I skipped from CS3 to CS6, so no idea if you could do this in any other versions) if you CTRL clicked on a vector path between two anchor points, you could change the 'guidelines' extending from the anchor point either side of the line, and it would keep the lines at the same angle. However in CS6, when you do this it changes the angle of both of the lines. Is there a way to do it as it was done in CS3 ?

Aug 14, 2013I just upgraded to a new computer setup and installed Photoshop CC and well..... I can't figure out how to manipulate paths like in CS6.

On the left is a what path manipulation with anchor points looks like in CS6 on my old slow iMac, and on the right is the new CC with direction selection on, but instead I can't manipulate paths. How can I get it to work like CS6? Also, I know about the isolating layers thing, but that still doesn't let me manipulate certain anchor points.

May 31, 2013resolution and printing. I know some of these questions are not specifically adobe Photoshop related,I understand the theory of dpi vs ppi and resolution vs print. However, I am not sure how to print compositions with mulitple images such as a photo maniupulation.

So here are my questions:

1) If I make a document set for 300 ppi and all my other layers and photos be 300 ppi? What if my photo is at 600 ppi (which it wouldn't be but for instance.)

2) I want to maintain print quality, but need to resize a photo to fit on the composition. For instance I want to keep my photo at 300 ppi but need to shrink it to fit on the smaller background composition I can resample or not.
    - Not resampling does not allow me to digitally view the size, but maintains original photo quality. It also adds ppi which makes a huge file size to work on.
    - Resampling allows me to keep the same dpi but hinders the quality.

If I am combining two images together that need to be high resolution for print and then need to be resized what is the best option? How can I view them digitally? Here is an example:

Jan 31, 2007I'm working on a poster for a production of Julius Caesar and I'm trying to create a propaganda poster very similar to the one below. Any ideas on how to turn a regular photograph into a style similar to the one of Lenin? I'll try and post the picture I'm working with as well as the example poster. I've tried posterizing and blurring and colorizing but I can't quite get the yellowy tint as well as the kind of dotted shadows seen in the picture.

Feb 17, 2008I am having trouble adding text to a poster where I have dropped in an image and added a border. The only way I can add text is to flatten the image then add text. Also when I try to add a image with "place" to make it a smart object I have the same problem. If I flatten the image to add text then I can't save the file as a template.
