Photoshop :: Colour Rendition In CS4 And Elements 6?
Mar 10, 2013
When I load pics into CS4 or Elements6, there is a heavy magenta overcast, particularly on flesh tones; this doesn't occur if load the same pics into Xara Designer Pro X. This phenomenon does not occur either if I upload a picture to this forum!!! I have tried twiddling with Hue, Saturation and Lightness but I cannot get the actual colours across the whole picture. On printing the picture the overcast is still present.
Whenever I create a new colour in the colour swatches it only stays there for a couple of actions while working on a project. I understand from others that once they create a colour it stays there. Why can't I get that to happen?
A B&W logo ought to be possible to change the colour of the black elements? I can find the appropriate menu option, "Change Colour" but it randomely wioll not highlight. When it does, the process does not seem obvious. I do the obvious things, but nothing is happening.
I am using PSE10 and am finding that the colour showing on my edited photos is different to what displays on the Print Preview screen. This displays and prints much darker. I am using a Canon Pixma IP4950 printer recently purchased. I have tried various adjustments to settings but with no success. I find that I have to lighten each photo x 2 to get a decent colour print.
I would like to change the colour of a simple custom shape in photoshp elements 12. I have used paint can but this makes the edges of the shape very pixellated
I am wanting to know what is the term used when you have a mainly black and white photo and wanting to add a bit of colour to a particular thing ie flower, hat etc whilst the rest of the photo remains in black and white. Finally how is this achieved using Photo Elements II.
Am I able to change the background colour of the view screen in PSE 11 organiser? The current background is grey, which isn't a great colour to optimise viewing images. Black would be better.
I want to edit a photo of a car so that the car remains in colour and the background changes to black and white (or should I say mono?). I have seen this several times and wanted to have a go myself. I understand that it can be done in Elements using layers?
There doesn't appear to be a sampling method for the colour replacement tool in Elements 10, whilst there is one in Elements 11 & previous versions. Can I get a plugin/download to give me the option in Elements 10?
I cannot change printer profiles in Colour Management on PSE10. Whenever I try to do this it looks like I have changed it, and click OK...but when I check back it has actually not taken effect and has defaulted back to the original stored profile. Consequently I cannot use different paper types now. This has only just started happening and was ok before. I am using Mac OS 10.7.5 along with an Epson R3000.
I remeber at one time I was able to convert a color image into black & white by reassing Control, Shift, U. Then there was another command that would allow be to add teh original colors back in where I wanted them, giving me a color and black & white image. I just cannot remeber how I did the second step.
I am using CS6 and the Replace Colour Tool no longer allows me to replace multiple colours when I select the + . So when I have the panel open and I highlight the +, I used to then be able to click on several spots in my image and all of the colours that are in those spots are added to the selected colours that will be changed by using the sliders.
But now, when I use the + it has exactly the same effect as not using it - I can only choose one colour or an other, I can't add.....I want to reset this to the original way that this works.
Currently I have to open the panel, change one variation of a colour, save it, then re-open the panel and do it again (and again and again) until all the colour variations I am trying to remove are are changed. I know I also have the 'fuzziness' slider, but it does not give enough control.
How do i change the colour on a masthead design I purchased on-line?
The masthead is a paisley type design which is to become the border of my new website but when i try to change the colour in the way i thought i should it changed the colour of the mashead to a solid colour thus losing the design?
I am designing a T Shirt for my ski club.I have taken an image from a banner (made in illustrator, full colour image attached) and I want to devide into a 3 colour image for the t shirt (I am only allowed 3 colours for printing). The colours I want to use are black, white and purple. The colour of the t shirt is a light blue.I want to then put the purple logo on top of the white and black too.So I'm after a black and white grunge background with a punchy purple logo on the top.All of this should be on a tranparent or, for design purposes, light bue (same as T Shirt colour) background.
how to split a full colour image into using only 3 (4 including transparent/light blue background) exact colours.
If I were going to black and white I might convert to grey scale and then paint areas to fully white or fully black using an overlay brush I don't think this works for me for more than just black and white though.
I have attached two of my attempts where I used the colour range selection and level adjustments. Niether was really successful though (one does not use the right colours or number of colours but looks quite cool).
I will like to find out the colour code for the background colour on a particular web address. Unfortunately I am new here so not allowed to post links so will say this as creatively as possible. the address is theregentlagos (with the usual prefix beginning with w and suffix beginning with c for all websites). I am referring to the colour where the menu items like logo, home, brands etc are on.
I've been asked to convert an image to 2 colour for printing. I have the image as a full colour CMYK layout (with layers), but the whole thing needs to be converted to 2 colour. I have the pantone reference numbers for the 2 colours it is to be converted to. I am familiar with the hue/saturation tool, but this just seems to convert it to one colour, and you have no fine control over the exact colour you want.
I've been asked to produce a user defined linetype with a continuous line as its base and with a letter "X" at specific intervals. That's ok, but the kick is that the line should be one colour and the "X" in a different colour.
I suggested creating a block for the "X" and using measure to place the blocks on the line, but that is unacceptable. There will be a lot of lines and these will be at some point deleted/replaced and the "X" blocks would still be there. It would be possible to place all the "X"s for one line in a group so they could be deleted as a group, but in a relatively small drawing there will be several hundred of these lines and in a large drawing perhaps a couple of thousand.
As far as I'm aware in a custom linetype all the elements are the same colour.
I have copied some colour negatives using my digital camera. What is the best procedure for removing the orange base colour of the film prior to converting them to positives?
How do I see the object selected change colour dynamically as I adjust the colour sliders?
It seems the object only changes colour when I release the slider. But I want to see it dynamically change, so I can find the colour that works best without "hit or miss" - "trial and error" behaviour.
Yes... I'm aware some of you spend hours in colour programs creating a palette to work with. Good for you.
I'm just wanting to do it LIVE. Dynamically. In 2013. In Illustrator.
