i'm looking for a possibility to change the thumbnail for the videos that i have rendered with photoshop cs6. How i can select or change the thumbnail for a videos that isn't shown for example in bridge.

How does one change the thumbnail for a video clip? By default, VS Pro X3 seems to use the first frame of the clip. I would like to choose the frame. Is that possible in VS?

Currently in VS X4 I get just a thumbnail at the start of the clip and a blue bar after that. In Microsoft Movie Maker by comparison you get thumbnail after thumbnail from the various frames within the clip, I also see in one of Trevor's tutorials (bottom of the page) URL.... there's thumbnails galore but he may be using images rather than a video clip.

Some bins are displaying the clips in reverse order while in thumnail view and I cannot change it to be in sequential order. I've tried sorting it in list view first, but that doesn't work. View 3 Replies View RelatedI am a Silkypixs (SP) user and have a trial copy of Lightroom 3.6. Two questions for this audiance....
1) I have a pentax k5 and it produces AVI files for video. Lightroom cannot open these files in thumbnail and produces an error message that stalls the import process. IP there something that can be done about this? This is a critical issue to me and my impact my final purchase decision.
2) I am not used to using an import process. SP would open the files in the existing drive and then process the files. I would then write to an alternative drive. If I am reading the LR process correctly, I am opening in the existing drive then importing to a designtate drive before processing the raw images. Then I write the resulting images to another drive. If that is the case, I am creating two copies of the image (one raw, one jpeg) on my hard drive. Is that correct?
I am not able to save the changes that I make to the starting position of my scenes thumbnails when I use a Thumbnail Menu to create my DVD. I am using Video Studio X4 with Service Packs 1 and 2 installed running on Windows XP Home, SP 2 with all updates installed and DirectX 9.0. The scene changes work fine when I Preview them but they are not saved when I close the Create Disk sub-menu. When I return to the “Menu and Preview” section of the Create Disk sub-menu, the Main Menu scene change is present as is the Chapter 1 scene change but the other chapter scene changes are gone. What can I do to correct this?

PROBLEM:
I have a number of videos (HD 1080p) that I have recorded. Each video is on average 50 minutes in length - what I want to do it to be able to do is to slice this video into 10 x 5 minute videos (based on topics discussed in the video), (so essentially clip the video into these segments and edit each one) and then when producing the video file - actually create 10 separate video files (all with editing in place) instead of one single large file.
As far as I have been able to work out, I need to go through the whole file, clip relevant sections, edit them, and then save project. I then need to go trim the saved file 10 times, to extract each time the single 5 minute video I want to create. This is a fairly manual and time consuming process, hence my hope that I can create 10 files based on the clips I have made in the larger 50 minute file in one go.
as I have 30 videos to edit, so looking for ways to save time!

View 1 Replies View Relatedwe upgraded to CorelDraw X6. Since yesterday we have been struggling with thumbnail previews under Windows 7 - the feature we loved and got well accustomed to. Earlier we have used X3 version with this preview feature, but with X6 it seems no longer to work.
We have checked the related windows directories as well as the CorelDraw Shell Extension - all things (dlls and exes) look just fine in their places and installed but still we cannot get the thumbnail preview work.
When I'm working in PS CS and open a folder of pictures it always reverts to List view even though I exited last time in Thumbnail view. How can I set it to open in Thumbnail view by default?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the trial for Photoshop CS6 and the other day I was opening video files to make gifs from perfectly fine, however, now when I try to open video files a box opens saying "Reading Video Format" and then it gets stuck and frozen.
I left it for an hour, when it came back it was just the same, sometimes it makes my whole computer freeze. I've tried several times with different formats, nothing works and I cannot open any kind of video file now into Photoshop. Is this a common problem or is there anything I can do to sort it?
I have a lot of .mts videofiles I would like to wrap into one big file in cs6. What format/container should I use to store lossless, or will there always be a loss in picture quality when storing files in cs6?

I downloaded the update to the server and I even re-installed Photoshop Extended CS6. I have the Master Collection. I also have anti-virus software that I have turned off. It still does not work. Can family filters for my family be the cause of the server not being found?
Bridge has no problem showing them, but associating them with PS CS6 is antother story. PS CS6 can open and edit those files when you drag them by hand into the workspace, but the preferences box of Bridge doesn't seems to know this kind of file type.
