Photoshop :: Can You Add Pixels To A Line To Make It Stronger?
Apr 7, 2006
i have drawn some things in pencil, scanned into p-shop and i need 2 colour them but then have the same pencil detail go over the colours.the lines r not strong enough to stand out though.i tried coloring over the pencil layer in black(as pencil is gray) but this has made no difference.is there a way round this other than going over my 100 drawings in black pen?
way to make text stronger in Photoshop without increasing font size, etc?
In Adobe Illustrator you can, for example, add a 0.25 point stroke of the same color as the text and increase it a little that way. I don't think PS has less than a 1pt stroke option?
Ok Photoshop tribe i need to put a line through another line stroked at about 4 pixels each line, the problem i am having is i need each line to be of a differing colour and slightly more translucent than the other.
I am trying to sweep a line of pixels around an axis point in Photoshop (or Illustrator) to create a circle or multiple circles from the line of pixels. I have to use the line of pixels as it is a slice of an original image to capture a color swatch. I have not used Photoshop in close to 10 years and I cannot for the life of me figure out how I used to do it or if I did for that matter? I thought I used to, whilst I had the line of Pixels selected use the Transform>Rotate option then Adjust the pivot point.
Then I manually rotated it once whilst copying (Which I can no longer work out how to do) and just continue with cmd D or whatever the "do again" shortcut was?
I create a new layer and fill it with black. Then I make a new layer and make a marquee selection. Within the marquee selection, I fill the new layer with a color to transparent gradient fill. I then take the new gradient layer and warp it using the "FLAG" preset.
I adjust the bend to 20% and commit the warp/transformation. I get the curve I want, but right in the middle of the curve, running straight up the layer, is a solid line of pixels. It's almost as if, that one little line missed out on both the gradient itself as well as the warp effect.
When I make a new line when I type, it makes a new line but it floating below the first line. I have to press enter 3 times to get the actual new line. I didn't have this 2 days ago.
I know very little about setting image sizes in LR and usually use Pixrl. I have to have my photos 576 pixels wide and constrain propstions for a website.
If I am constantly making frames in photoshop for use in the video world (ie. They will be on TV) the pixels need to be rectangular (or 4x3) in aspect and not square.
I know in programs like After Effects and Combustion you can set when saving an image whether or not it is square or rectangular pixels.
I have been practicing using a older book(copyright 1990) and it has some decent exercises in it. I was able to do this one but it seems I can"t find the proper way to do this..First drawing a line a certain distance..ortho on,click the first point anywhere, move curser to the left and click again. that gives me a line at 180 degrees at what ever length..Line command again starting at the second point of the first line..after clicking that point,I type in @2.38<150 that gives me a line2.38 long at 150 degrees..now how do i make a third line relative to the second line so that the angle is 75 degrees and a certain length..the picture shows what I am trying to draw..using the polar cordinates you get an angle based off the UCS( which is set at world) when you try to draw the third line ..that makes the angle between line 2 an 3 not the angle that I want..To make the drawing,I rotated the ucs -30 degrees..But there has to be a better way than that..
I draw a curved line and would like it to remain as a curved line even after saving the file. However everytime after saving, and opening the file again, the curve breaks into many line segments, which is not what I want! I want the curved line that I draw to remain as a curved line even after saving and opening. How do I do that? I am using autocad2010.
I use the ARC command to draw a couple of lines, they look okay here. But after I saved it, and re-open it again, what previously appeared as curved lines changed in their appearance to polyline segments.
2 days on GIMP. I need to adjust the clone tool so it's 1080 pixels vertical and about 20 pixels wide. I googled and searched, but I can't seem to find the right phrasing.
I have several layers in an image, and I need to align them precisely. The ordinary layer shift ("move pixels") by multiples of pixels is not sufficient. Is there a tool or plugin for PDN that allows sub-pixel shifts (i.e. moves by fractions of pixel)? And rotations by very small angles?
I've just started using Xara to edit my photos. I have a problem I cant solve: how can I export the edited photos with 72 dpi and 843*403 pixels;or 72 dpi and 404*404 pixels?
How do I make the text, inside of a text box, continue to the next line? Every time I type something, when it reaches the end of the text box it continues at the beginning of the same line, rather than beginning below the sentence. So rather than typinga paragraph, I type a sentence that has layers of words.
Say i make a curvy line using the pen tool and then stroke the path and then delete the path (maybe i shouldn't?) and then i want to make a identical path say offset 5 pixels on one of the sides of the aforementions stroked path. for example i just drew the left side (border) of the road and i need to make the right border of the road....how can I do this?
