I have some Line Labels that got exploded, and they contained Background Masks.
When I make a plot, the mask plots a dark rectangle.
How can I make the masks visible so that they can be erased? Is there a variable for that? What type of entity (name?)are they?
When I make "wipeouts" visible, you still can not see the masks.

When I make a new line when I type, it makes a new line but it floating below the first line. I have to press enter 3 times to get the actual new line. I didn't have this 2 days ago.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been practicing using a older book(copyright 1990) and it has some decent exercises in it. I was able to do this one but it seems I can"t find the proper way to do this..First drawing a line a certain distance..ortho on,click the first point anywhere, move curser to the left and click again. that gives me a line at 180 degrees at what ever length..Line command again starting at the second point of the first line..after clicking that point,I type in @2.38<150 that gives me a line2.38 long at 150 degrees..now how do i make a third line relative to the second line so that the angle is 75 degrees and a certain length..the picture shows what I am trying to draw..using the polar cordinates you get an angle based off the UCS( which is set at world) when you try to draw the third line ..that makes the angle between line 2 an 3 not the angle that I want..To make the drawing,I rotated the ucs -30 degrees..But there has to be a better way than that..

However everytime after saving, and opening the file again, the curve breaks into many line segments, which is not what I want! I want the curved line that I draw to remain as a curved line even after saving and opening. How do I do that? I am using autocad2010.
I use the ARC command to draw a couple of lines, they look okay here. But after I saved it, and re-open it again, what previously appeared as curved lines changed in their appearance to polyline segments.
I use Coreldraw 11. and how to make one Line connect to another Line?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe issue I run into is when I make a photo black and white and bring out a single color by selecting the areas of color with the magic selector. Once I have the colored area selected I either invert and turn the rest of the image black and white, or I will create a new duplicate layer and delete out the content in one layer and eventually merge the color and black and white layers to make my final image.
My problem is I always get a white gap between the colors and black and white images, or layers. I have tried to use the refine edge menu option, but this never solves the problem as the feather option, and move edge option do not cover the gap, they just move it.
I have resorted to using the healing brush to hide the line or merge the colored and black and white layers together. The issue with this is some times it is in a highly visible spot and the healing brush does not always make a great look. In other words you can tell that I merged two colors or images together.
I have also have this issue when I use the selection tool on images I blur certain portions of. It seems to happen any time I am using the selection toold and I assume there is a standard way of avoiding this.
I am using elements 11.

Is there a way I can make it clear so that only the image shows up, wrather than the image and its background? The entire image is 1 layer right now, so the only way I know of to isolate the black is to use the magic wand tool,
This is the image, but the webpage has a grey background and so having that black boardering it really makes it look weird.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got Photoshop to make the background transparent on pictures of furniture. I am having problems because the background is so complicated. I've only tried selecting different parts of the background with the quick selection tool, and then deleting (after adding another layer), but I'm not getting good results.
I see others talking about the lasso, magnetic lasso, layers, masking, etc, but I don't know where to start. I need to learn quickly because I'm on a deadline, Here's one of the pictures I need to do: (one of the most complicated) All I need to keep is the table and four chairs in the foreground.
When I open an image, it appears in the layers palette as layer 1. I want it to be the background layer.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a .jpg file of a band logo with white text (bordered by sketchy black outlines) on a white background. I'd like to keep the text and border effects the same but make the background transparent and then save it as a transparent .png or .gif so that just the white text (with the black text borders still included) appears the same on my website no matter what the background color of the page is. Here's the image: URL....
I want to keep all the black sketchy outlines intact and I want the white text itself to remain white and not transparent, I just want the white background surrounding it to be transparent. I've tried selecting just the text with all the little lines and such of the text borders included so that I can make it into a new layer and then paste it onto a transparent background but I've been having trouble successfully selecting it...the way the text is written, I haven't had much luck using the magic wand or quick selection tools to properly select it.
Another (less desirable) option would be to fill in the white background with the background color of the page I'm going to be posting it on (hex color #1d1d1d) but filling it in with the paint bucket in Photoshop CS5 fills in the majority of the white text as well so that hasn't really worked either.
