Photoshop :: Can't Install Adobe Security Update For TIFF Vulnerability
Aug 30, 2012
I have CS5 Production suite with CS5 12.0.4 loaded. Windows XP 32bit.  There are two patches at this link: URL.....
Â
The patch is for version 12.0.5 or 5.1.1. When unzipping it is looking for a 12.0.5 file and it cannot find it since I only have 12.0.4 and there is no newer file when updating. When I do unzip the file and run the installer, I get Installing 12.0.5 then... There was an error installing this update. Error Code: U44M21218.  Â
I tried to install the update with Adobe Updater and it failed with error code U44M1P7.I then downloaded the update patcht directly from the site and tried to install. Again error code this time U44M2P7.
I get the following error message when I attempt to update X6. Â Not sure what to do about it.
CRC error: The file C:ProgramDataCoralDRAW Graphics Suite X6.1CGS16w_cproc_p_11.1.048_redist_intel64.exe doesnt match the file in the setup's .cab File. The medium from which you are running the setup may be currupted; contact your software vender.
It looks like the same 2.3mb file that the update program is trying to download. Once the update is started it just keeps trying to download that file until I cancel the update.
Yesterday I was using Photoshop CS5 and RAW 6.4 (?) in a Windows environment. When editing photographs, I generally open the photo in Camera Raw, make development changes (ie exposure, contrast, etc) and then open the developed image as Smart Object in Photoshop. I then clone, add layers, masks, etc. and then save the final image as a tiff.  Yesterday, I upgraded to Photoshop CS6 and RAW 7.0.  Now, when I open my tiff files and Smart Objects in the RAW editor, my exposure, contrast, and black settings are missing (reset to zero). My graduated filter settings are also missing. It seems to me that the embedded sidecar data in the tiff / Smart Object is not being read correctly.  How can I update my old tiff / Smart Objects? Re-developing thousands of photos is impractical.  NOTE: As a side note, I opened a RAW file with xmp data (not stored as a tiff/Smart Object) and had no problems.
Problems opening tif files in Adobe Photoshop CS6. Lately I've been getting an error message: 'Photoshop does not recognize this kind of file' whenever I try to open a tif file. I've tried everything -- doing a complete purge and reinstall of CS6 and running all the latest available updates but with no success. Photoshop will not open any tif files! Am using iMac (Intel), OSX 10.8.2!
I originally want to create some text and add effects to it. But as I add effects or, especially, scale, it, I find I need to go back and change the text image (make lines of the characters wider, change proportions...etc.  So I imported my text as a smart image and began work on it -- but when I went and change the original, the changes were not reflected -- I closed the document I was working on and re-opened it, just to be sure -- maybe it didn't detect the file had been changed. No difference.  It seems it makes a separate copy from my original and uses that and the only way to update it, is to delete an old imported smart layer, and add in a new one and re-apply all the layer effects to the new layer (or transfer them from the old later before deleting it).  Seems a bit awkward...Shouldn't the smart image allow me to include something externally, and as it is imported, it imports a bit map of the current content sized to the appropriate "frame" for the imported layer?  That's another issue -- can't just copy layer effects -- have to be sure to reapply any cropping or resizing you did to the smart image (presuming the layer can take a zoom level and a mask -- maybe it can't do that either?)...since you can distort it, I would assume so (remember reading that layer effects applied to smart objects were turned off while you distorted layers, or something like that...)...  How does one include dynamic content in a picture at edit time (NOT AT DISPLAY TIME -- this ain't HTML! ;
why cs6 13.0.1 wont update to 13.0.2 i have even done the manul update and that will not work.
i have removed and put photoshop on my macbook retina now 2 times i have all up to date updates. i have done every step ive seen in other discussions and still no luck.
I received a message that an Adobe Raw update was available. I started the update and it told me to close PS CS6 which I did.
I restarted the update and it continues to give me the message to close CS6 even though it is already closed. I tried rebooting and had no affect on this problem.Â
I was prompted earlier to update my Photoshop CS6 which I allowed. Now when I launch Photoshop, it also launches Adobe Application Manager which informs me "Sign In Required" to register my trial software which in the title bar of Adobe Application Manager, reads: Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended.  Where did that come from? I had the standard version yesterday. I haver never downloaded a trial version of extended. Where did my standard version go?  Can i get my standard version back painlessly? I havent done the sign in as yet.  Mac OS X 10.8.2, Mid 2010 iMac with 3.6GHz core i5 intel  According to "Get Info" it is just Photoshop CS6 - No extended mentioned.
Upon finishing installing, an error reads:  Exit Code: 6 Please see specific errors and warnings below for troubleshooting. For example, ERROR: DF015, DW063 ... I'm trying to install CS6 via the application manager. It downloads a file and then hangs at waiting to install. I've tried everything I can think of disabling virus scanner. I have CS5 installed could that be conflicting with the new software?
I have a question. How could I an install a printer to my Adobe PhotoshopCS6 for Windows? And also after the installation how could I scan anything thru the printer?
dell desktop with vista on it and when I tried to install ACSP and after I have entered the serial the installation just stopped. Is that version maybe too old?
I opened my Adobe Photoshop CS3 Web Premium and it told me I cannot use it anymore. Same with Adobe Fireworks. It was running fine previously until THAT day.
I was told by the error message to uninstall or reinstall the progam, which I did. But after uninstalling and installing CS3 again, only Adobe Acrobat was successful. All other components failed.
The icon appears disabled. When selecting the app I get the error msg: "You can't open the application "Adobe Photoshop CW6.app" because it is not supported on this type of Mac.  CS6 worked fine after upgrading to Mountain Lion. It appears an update that I downloaded from Adobe earlier this week could be the cause.
I updated my mac yesterday to Maverick and now Adobe Photoshop CS5 won't launch. what files I need to delete to get it to launch. I tried reinstalling it, and that didn't work.
I am trying to install a plug-in from PSKiss to Photoshop CS5 (version 12.0.4). I'm using Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5, and I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop. Â Although I'm following up with PSKiss to see if there's a problem at this end, I also see an issue with Adobe Extension Manager. When I open it, the Install button is grayed-out. I can see neither of the plug-ins I've already installed in Photoshop, nor can I install anything new. I am running Adobe Extension Manager as Administrator. Â Also, yes, I'm using my laptop with an Administrator account.
I tried to install Photoshop CC via Adobe Creative Cloud installer. The installer says it's up-to-date but it's not working. Tried to uninstall the app but it's not working. I deleted the whole Photoshop folder without any luck. I'm running Mac OSX 10.8.4.Â
I have a Lenovo Ultra book Think pad (X1 Carbon) which does not have a CD drive. How can I install my copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 which I have on CD-rom?
I'm logged in as local administrator to Windows 7 64bit OS and everytime I tried to install CS5.5 Master I kept getting this message, "Administrator privilege are required to install" I can install any program but just not CS5.5.
I was advised to download photoshop via adobe application manager as I have an XP OS. I even downloaded the application manager but now it fails to install saying "remote server not properly placed.Try after a few minutes" Whenever I retry I get the same message. Even I am getting the same message in case of installing adobe flash player. The installer always says installation not complete.
