Photoshop :: Adobe Application Manager Failed To Install

Message was "Adobe Application Manager failed to install".
I have followed all the directions for downloading but have not been able to complete the downloading. Â
Message was "Adobe Application Manager failed to install".
The installation of Adobe Extension Manager CS6 failed - while 2 others update for Photoshop CS6 did install. I was installing Adobe Reader X. That's why I discovered the notification from the application manager about updates for CS6 - and I just confirmed that as well.
Â
Apparently the Reader installation blocked only the update installation of Adobe Extension Manager CS6 - saying another installation process was running ... such stuff happens sometimes.
Â
However, it seems Adobes Application Manager update module does not track its failed installations? It does not automatically advertise that update has not been installed and notifying me again to install it. At least not immediately.. So how do I rerun the Adobe Application Manager update module to check for updates manually?
I'm trying to install CS6 via the application manager. It downloads a file and then hangs at waiting to install. I've tried everything I can think of disabling virus scanner. I have CS5 installed could that be conflicting with the new software?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was advised to download photoshop via adobe application manager as I have an XP OS. I even downloaded the application manager but now it fails to install saying "remote server not properly placed.Try after a few minutes" Whenever I retry I get the same message. Even I am getting the same message in case of installing adobe flash player. The installer always says installation not complete.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI used Adobe application manager to download a trial version of photoshop cs6, but I need to install it at another time. Adobe application manager instead installs photoshop immediately.
How Can I prevent Adobe application manager to install downloaded software automatically?
In trying to download PS CC, Application Manager failed and would not update, after first claiming that another instance was running. I tried re-booting to no avail. (I am upgrading from CS6, running Windows 7).

View 2 Replies View RelatedSome weeks ago a new shortcut was displayed in my desktop. I did not create it nor did I install any new software. The shortcut is Adobe Application Manager.
Â
What is exactly Adobe Application Manager? Is it necessary? Where did it came from? In the list of installed programs there is no Adobe Application Manager, so I cannot uninstall it. When I start it, it starts to install something.
I just signed up for Creative Cloud and I can't download it. Adobe Application Manager crashes. When I re-run it, all I get is the option to update my copy of CS6. I want Creative Cloud and Lightroom.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSuddenly AAM stopped working. Cannot open it. It strats and runs a whilw and then stops but nothing happens? I have PSE 11.
View 10 Replies View RelatedThis problem began for me after installing the PSCS6 beta. I started getting a popup saying "Adobe Application Manager is missing or damaged" and advising me to download and reinstall AAM. I did that, with no result. The responses from Adobe ("you must have a bad installer"). I was able to leave the beta as it was and use PSCS5.
Fast forward: PSCS6 is released and I purchase and try to install the upgrade, which won't install with the beta present. The Beta uninstaller won't run because of the AAM error. I laboriously search and delete all files related to the beta.PSCS6 release version installs, but when it starts I get a popup witht the same message about AAM. I have spent over 12 hours in chat with Adobe support with only negative results. Not only have they not fixed the problem -- they have managed to propagate it to my PSCS5 installation -- which they subsequently deleted.
As part of attempting to diagnose I have tried the PSCS6 unistaller, which fails with the same error; used the CS cleaner tool and reinstalled -- same problem; verified permissions and file ssytem on my system drive; tried removing CS6 and reinstalling from a new, clean admin account -- same AAM error.
I am at my wits' end with this. I have NO working verion of photoshop (big problem for a photographer/designer), NO confidence in Adobe support (most of the 12 hours was watching them try the same things we had done several times before), and how to fix this short of stripping my Mac back to the metal and reinstalling everything.
I tried to install the update with Adobe Updater and it failed with error code U44M1P7.I then downloaded the update patcht directly from the site and tried to install. Again error code this time U44M2P7.

Whenever I go to open up Adobe Photoshop (64bit or otherwise) it will load up for a second then crash the next. It doesn't give me error reason why only says it has stopped working and it can't detect a problem so it closes. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the program but the Adobe Application Manager is also acting weird. When it is opened it freezes and soon crashes saying there is a "Download Error".
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install a plug-in from PSKiss to Photoshop CS5 (version 12.0.4). I'm using Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5, and I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop.
Â
Although I'm following up with PSKiss to see if there's a problem at this end, I also see an issue with Adobe Extension Manager. When I open it, the Install button is grayed-out. I can see neither of the plug-ins I've already installed in Photoshop, nor can I install anything new. I am running Adobe Extension Manager as Administrator.
Â
Also, yes, I'm using my laptop with an Administrator account.
How to install the Dr Brown and Watermark installer scripts via Adobe Extension Manager? I am running Win7 and CS 4, and have opened CS 4 as an admin. Still, no luck.
Â
when trying to install the Dr Brown services, I get "You do not have the appropriate permissions required to perform this operation. Contact your system administrator to obtain permission."
Â
For the Watermark script, i get "Can't create folder 'C:Program Files AdobeAdobe Photoshop CS4 (64 Bit)Plug-InsPanelsWatermark'. I created that folder manually via Explorer but that didn't work.
Seems like I go through this problem time and again with Photoshop + Acrobat CS2 and still have yet to resolve a way of fixing it short of completely wiping my drive and re-installing Windows (XP Pro) The error is "application library failed to load and the product cannot continue"
If there is anyone out there that has figured out a way to fix this issue please fill me in.
This time I went as far as a complete and though removal of all Adobe products from the system and the registry and then completely reinstalled the product.
I have forgone purchasing CS3 because of this issue as I am 99% sure that it has still not been resolved.
Basically Photoshop and Acrobat are useless at this point and I am using an old version of Picture Publisher and Macromedia Fireworks to complete my work. This I assume is good advertising for Adobe :)
See this post in the forum "could not complete your request because of a program error", PDF format, cs2, xp" as this is an ongoing Adobe issue that they have completely blown off!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am getting an error about 10 times each time I open Photoshop. It says "The application has failed to start because MSVCRT10.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".
This does nothing besides lag up Photoshop for me. I have most of my ram towards Photoshop and it still lags like crazy. I was wondering if there WAS any way to fix it besides re-installing.
I just received and loaded my new copy of CS. I had been using Elements at home and PS 6.0 in class. My OS is Windows XP.
I tried to use the Image>Resize>Image Size function, I changed the resolution from 150 to 72 but 149.999 appeared in the box. I also tried to change the Pixel dimensions to no avail.
I brought Elements up which had always worked before and experienced the same thing.
The only odd thing I've noticed when I bring up PhotoShop or PhotoShop Elements is a message "Unable to locate component" then in the box it reads "Application has failed to start because NUVTwain.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this". This has been displayed for some time now while I was using Elements, I just clicked on it four times and the program loaded. Now it appears in either PhotoShop version. I tried reinstalling Elements some time ago and it didn't solve the problem. I reinstalled CS and it also still has the same message.
why I cannot install Photoshop CS3 after upgrading my OS to Vista SP1.
View 14 Replies View RelatedThe CC Application Manager was inviting me to install apps that were happily residing and working on my system, which concerned me because I would not be informed about updates for those apps. I just got the answer from the CC forum. I had changed the language from English (North American) to English (International) in some instances, and that was enough for the AAM to think those apps were for a different user. The thread below has screen shots of where to change preferences in the AAM

I tried to remove an old version with Revo uninstaller, and when trying to install that one after, it just did that
Â
Theres the error, in Danish though, but it says:"An error occurred the installationsprogram could not be initialized, Download Adobe support advisor to register the problem"
Â
The problem is, i have downloaded it, but it does not fix it..
I was using the Beta program and, when CS3 full became available, I uninstalled it. Only after I'd uninstalled it and tried installing the full version did I realise I hadn't deactivated the beta.
I received message about Component Install Failed on 2 items (CS3 and Shared Components).
I uninstalled the parts of the full version which were successfully installed (Bridge, Toolkit, Device Central and StockPhotos) and followed the instructions to manually remove CS3 (I also scoured the registry to remove any references to any installed Adobe products, searched my PC for any references to Adobe and ran a few registry scrubbing programs) - I tried to install CS3 full again with the intention of deactivating it then uninstalling it but no success - I received the same errors as before.
I also just ran the new Windows CS3Clean script at Level 2 and it has not resolved the problem.
I've even manually searched for "cache.db" and "caps.db" files as someone in the Labs forum suggested that could be the file which holds the "activate" info for the beta.
I installed what I could of CS3 beta (Bridge, Toolkit, StockPhotos and Device Central) and tried to see if they had the option to "Deactivate" but I couldn't find them - is the "Deactivate" option only available from Photoshop?
unable to install the CS3 full version due to CS3 Beta previous installation and cannot reinstalled CS3 Beta to deactivate because it also detects the CS3 full version installation attempt.
OS:Â Vista Business 64bitVERSION:Â CS3 Web Premium I've tried everything to fix the "Component Install Failed" issue.ran the Windows Installer Clean Upused the clean registry toolran the adobe clean on level 1 and 2deleted all traces of Adobe products and still errors out on install.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install the trial version of Photoshop Extended cs3 and every time I try, it will tell me that "Component Install Failed" and have a red x next to Photoshop and/or Shared Components. This is the first Photoshop product that I have tried to put on my computer, and the only other Adobe program we have is Flash MX. I did not install any beta`s and we recently formatted the hard drive, so I`m pretty sure that running the CS3 Script cleaner thing won`t help. I have also tried to install it on my laptop, (Recently formatted as well) and it does the same thing.
