View 7 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop CS3 (and Windows Vista) and just recently every time I attempt to crop, it gives me the error message that my scratch disks is full. I went into my Preferences and put my C: drive as my first choice (which is only about 10 percent full) and my D: drive as my second. I have a new HP with the D: drive being the recovery portion of the hard drive. I have gone in and cleaned it out. I have restarted both Photoshop and my computer. I read online that you can clean out all of the temp files but it did not say where to locate them. I have searched for "#pst" files. I also can't find my "Local Settings" (because Vista still confuses me) to find temp folders. The only temp folders, I can find has nothing to do with Photoshop.

It says that my scratch disks are full. I had it one time when I started PS, and now when I'm brushing.
so I got the 'scratch disks are full' message when I tried opening new projects. After googling, I read to just change the location to another hard drive instead of the main one, so I went into preferences, unchecked the C drive & checked the E drive. Now photoshop won't let me open it. I get this message:
"Could not open a scratch file because the fil eis locked, you do not have nexassary access permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the 'properties' command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file." how do I do this, exactly?
I just installed Photoshop 7.0 on my Windows 7 system. When the program first booted I got the message that I should put the scratch disk on a seperate volume. I was not allowed time to do this even if I new how. Now the program will not load. I get the message Scratch Disks Full.

I can not complete any action while in photoshop because the scratch disks are full. I have already run into the Performance Preferences and allowed the program to use the 7.09 GB I have of free space. I am about to throw out the laptop through the windows....

I am trying to crop a JPG slightly to get a specific size. I have set the size in the toolbar of the crop tool and draw the crop mask, but when I try to complete the crop it says "Cannot complete your request because the scratch disks are full". I have two disks on this machine, one with 26GB free and the other with 77GB free and this is only a 250x970px image. I did several prior crops on the same image among other operations, but wanted to use the exact size on this one since it needs to fit in a rotating banner for a website. I can crop it if I leave out the exact size, but then, of course, I am only guessing at the size.
I cannot initialize Photoshop 7 because the scratch disks are full.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am creating an extremely large file to be printed @ over 20 feet long. I've been in touch with the printer who told me that my original file, at 1/4 scale and 100 DPI was not high enough resolution, 1/4 would have to be 400 PPI, which is where I am now.
View 25 Replies View RelatedI'm working with a fairly large CMYK document, 300dpi 160inches x 38inches. On disk it registers as just under 3.69gigs as a .PSB file, and as 1.53g/18.0g in Photoshop's Document Sizes info panel. I'm using CS6 extended.
I'm at the point where I can barely work with this thing any longer, as nearly any time I attempt to run a filter or make basic transformations, I get the "scratch disks full" error and PS is unable to complete the task. I'm also receiving the same error when attempting to save changes to the file to disk.
The thing is, in my performance preferences I have an external HDD with 330gigs of available space set as the primary hard drive, and am still getting this error. If I switch the primary scratch to a second internal 7200rpm HDD with 60gigs available, I don't have that issue for the first couple of operations, until the PS temporary file baloons to 40+gigs and I start getting the error again, necessitating a restart of Photoshop which of course loses my unsaved changes. I've also tried allocating my two internal SSD drives (Windows 7 and applications) as the 3rd and 4th scratch disks, which doesn't seem to work at all. They both have only around 5gigs free each.

I had a problem with bridge CS6 dynamic link failing and had tech support finally discuss the problem by phone They had me reinstall PSCS6 and Bridge among other things like setting the permissions differenty. It worked ok when I opened it again after those changes and then I closed the apps and opened them again the next day (today) but now the CR files will show no thumbnails nor previews in bridge and will not load into PSCS6. I get now the following error messages
These are files that are on my system and not from a camera plugged into the computer. They had worked just fine before the reinstall and permisisons changes the tech had me do. They open in the preview app and look fine so I know they are not corrupted files and I have tried different saved versions of the same (or any other CR file) and none of them will now open and Camera raw itself seems no where to be found. My prefences in camera raw have not clanged.
I tried image processor in bridge to make them PS files and got the following error message.I tried to load one of the CR files from the finder dirretly and got the following error message.
I am using VSX5 Ultimate. I installed a program called drop box and another called Helium. After installing these programs, VSX5 will no longer load. The intro screen does not even come up. I click on my short cut and my mouse pointer spins for a few seconds, then nothing. I have checked my programs and I do not have browser protect, browser manager or babylon. I uninstalled the two programs I mentioned above and restarted my computer but nothing happens still. Should I try uninstalling VSX5 and reinstalling?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not able to find monochrome.ctb when I click on File -> Page Setup Manager -> Modify -> Plotstyle table my only selection are .stb files which are color. When I try to add a new file it will not allow me to do a .ctb file or changes the properties from color to grayscale.
I have gotten a driver for monochrome.ctb from my co-worker. I clicked on File-> Plot Style Manager-> Add-A-Plot Table Wizard and then walked through the steps to upload the monochrome.ctb drive. The drive then appears on the list of drivers in Plot Style Manager. However it will still not let me select monochrome.ctb as an option to publish to. Is there something that I have not tride? Am I able to use .ctb in AutoCAD LT 2012?
