How can I get the slice tool to "obey" request for requested number of rows and columns or pixel values for rows and columns?
Elaboration:
The Slice tool in CS6 Photoshop will not "obey" my request for number of rows and columns, or pixel values for rows and columns.I use the Slice tool in Photoshop to prepare small square images for use in a mosaic creation application. The squares are 64x64 or 32x32 pixels.I crop my image to a multiple of 64 or 32 pixels on each side and right click with the slice tool.I have a hard time getting the slice tool to generate more than 10 rows horizontal and vertical. For example if I have an i age 1280x1280 pixels and try to get a division of 20 rows and 20 columns, I end up with columns 256 pixels and rows of 64 pixels.I can try entering number of rows and columns numerically or specify pixel values in the row and column, but either approach will not give me the square slices I ask for.

Mar 8, 2013I have accidentally loaded some patterns more than once and so they are repeated in the list (which is more annoying than anything at this point).
I have checked the manual and it just says to go to any Pattern pop-up menu and to then select the pattern and hold the Alt key and click (pointer turns into scissors) and the pattern will be deleted.
I don't want to delete the patterns by going to program program files > adobe > presets ... or what have ya b/c I do want one copy.
Is there a way to clear them all from the list and then I can reload/import the patterns again?
I have tried to get rid of the duplicates in the list by using the Preset Manager, the Import/Export panel and by (of course) the (above) Alt + Click on the pattern name to no avail. All in all I would just like to keep my patterns organized so as the collection grows I'll be able to manage them better and find 'em more quickly.
Photoshop :: How To Eliminate Lines Which Appear When Tile Repeated In CS6
Sep 30, 2013I'm using photoshop cs6 to create textile designs, and occassionally, (it hasnt happened with every tile) when i change the image size of my tile e.g. from 15cm sq to 10cm sq, then try to repeat the tile it forms thin lines between the tiles?
heres the tile repeated after ive changed the image size and you can see the thin lines...when i zoom in on the tile edges where the line has formed it looks like this....almost as if theres empty pixels that can then be coloured in.
i dont think its a problem when creating the tile because before i changed the image size it repeated fine with no lines, its something thats happeneing when the image size is altered.

Jan 28, 2013I've been using photoshop CS5.1 for a long time with no problems. I upgraded to CS6 which i'm finding unusable due to repeated font warnings. I get interminable dialog boxes appearing over and over: "Adobe Photoshop CS6.app wants to use the font “xxxxxxx” that was downloaded from the Internet. Allow Adobe Photoshop CS6.app to use this font?"
It starts and stops doing this as i attempt to use PS CS6, and it's not just asking about fonts that are used in the document i have open - it does it for a huge list of fonts. And if i click 'Allow' AND 'don't ask me again for this font' it doesn't remember my choice and will ask again.
Photoshop :: Repeated Crops Of Arbitrary Shapes
Aug 22, 2005I need to crop arbitrary shapes (e.g. triangle, star, hexagon, etc.) out of a series of pictures. The number of pictures is relatively small (less than twenty), and I will have to manually select the area to be cropped. But, I don't see how I can crop to, say, a hexagon repeatedly. What I would like is a cookie cutter so I can simply size the shape and then stamp it out.

Aug 27, 2011After reviewing some of my rendered videos, I find out that most (if not all) of them lose or add a few frames during the rendering. This seems to happen within the first 30 seconds of my 3 minutes clips. My orginal MPEG2 files are OK, but not the rendered MPEG, after editing. To make sure of that, I review them in my Pro X4, I place the original on my main track, and I put the rendered MPEG on the overlay. I can then pin point the exact frame where that problem appears. My original file is of good quality and has been captured wih a hard disk camcorder (Sony SR100).

Jul 30, 2011we've just got 3ds Max at work, and I've started with the most basic of projects you could imagine, beveling a text/spline, which repeatedly crashes 3ds Max on adding the Bevel modifier.
I should add that the program seems to work fine with polys and meshes, and we've done some pretty complex work on it with minimum crashes already, it just seems to be something with these splines.

Jan 9, 2012My co-worker and I have been getting Fatal Error messages a lot recently and there doesn't seem to be any consistent task that is causing them. We've been getting the error messages with multiple different commands and multiple softwares such as ACAD 2009, ACA 2012, and ACAD 2012. We can't seem to pin down anything specific that is causing the crashes. Fortunately with my crashes I can simply restart the software and everything is ok. However, there have been a couple of times that my co-worker's system crashed and he had to have ACAD 2009 re-installed (this is a major pain because we have to go through our IT department to get anything done on our systems). We have different computers. About the only common thing between us is that we are both running the same version of Windows XP on 32-bit systems.

3ds Max :: File Opens Fine In 32bit Repeated Crash In 64bit?
Aug 15, 2011I've recently encountered an error using Max 2010 Design where, a file that I've been working on or have worked on in the past suddenly ceases to open while using Max 64 bit. The file will continue to be openable in Max 32bit, but opening it in 64bit causes instant crashing. I've tried installing the service pack, installing new video card drivers - neither of which fixed the problem.
I really don't know where to look for answers at this point, and do not have free reign of my work machine to request a reinstall / reimaging of my hard drive. I need a solution that I can bring to the IT department that fixes the issue as simply and quickly as possible.

Dec 25, 2012I have been running PS6 x32 on my Windows desktop. Now I have added a Windows 8 laptop. When I try to install PS6 x64 on my new laptop under the same license, I get this error message: "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer." Should I install x32, or is this a different problem?

BUT we spend a month or two at another location where I also have a desktop and good monitor. Do I have to suspend or uninstall CS3 on the desktop at the original location in order to be able to use it on the desktop at the other location? I would hate to have to reset all preferences, etc when I come back to the original location.
