Nov 24, 2012I just bought Adobe Elements Photshop and Premier 11. I spent 2 to 3 hours getting my picture video library into Adobe's organizer. I had some problems with duplicate picture (that I wanted to be there - so I had to rename them) and a couple pictures with corrupted metadata. After I got all that sorted out I am a bit miffed about the folder view on Adob'es organizer.
I love that you can switch to folder view - since this is how I have been organizing my pictures for a long time. I would like to continue organizing this way for now until I get a grasp on the other ways I can organize them in elements. However, every time I close and re-open organizer it switches back to the default view instead of folder view. there is a way to set folder view to the default view!

I think I used to set it to airbrush but possibly it worked in brush as well. (I cant even figure out how to select an airbrush now) How do I do this in 6?

Jul 16, 2013I was asked to make a couple fantasy maps that look hand-drawn. It would be really cool if I could make an isometric mountain brush that puts a different mountain down every time I click it, or a randomized series of mountains along the brush stroke if I need a range. I thought some of the special effect brushes did this, but it turns out they just randomize the rotation in CS6.
On a related note and seemingly more unlikely, is there a way to have a two colored brush that uses foreground and background? If above mentioned mountain brush consists of ink-like lines, it would be useful if the mountains came in already filled so that they cut out the lines of whatever mountain is behind it.

Photoshop :: During Startup Both Bridge / CS6 Try To Make Temp Files On Root Folder Of OS Drive
Aug 18, 2012There is a serious root problem with Adobe's implemented permissionless-temp-file creation methods (pun intended.) The problem is that during startup, both Bridge and Photoshop CS6 try to make temp files on the root folder of the OS drive. Its affecting many peoples' installations by crashing them on application launch if not run by the super-administrator account on the computer. Adobe says to just run as admin to fix it, which does fix the start up crash. However, for me, it creates a gigantic problem: it breaks OS-to-PS and OS-to-Bridge drag and drop functionality completely!!! I literally was slowed to a crawl in my workflow having to import photos 1 at a time through the file-> open menu because I couldn't drag and drop various files from various locations on my computer. Not everything is clumped in 1 area neatly for Bridge to open everything, and I never realized just how much I used this function until this run as admin band-aid broke it. Eventually I fixed the CS temp location after 10-12 hours of hair pulling research and trial and error, and I finally have Photoshop CS6 working without admin permissions and everything is dandy with drag and drop, but only in PS. Bridge still cannot be run without administrator privileges and cannot have files dropped in or out of it to or from Explorer, and I am getting really frustrated here.
So does anyone else find their drag and drop ability gone once running Bridge/PS CS6 in admin mode? Is there a way to move the default temp creation location of Bridge as well? I'm frustrated and I think Adobe seems to be taking this permissions issue way too lightly!

In Photoshop 5, if I turn on the pressure sensitivity while using the Clone tool (and perhaps other tools as well...) I have to bear down very hard to make the pixels being cloned appear in the entire circle [brush] specified. The behavior I want is, instead, to be able to CHOOSE 1. pressure changes size of the flow within the brush [size]setting or 2. the full brush size places cloned pixels on the image at a rate of flow directly controlled by the pressure I exert on the pen nib.
There are some kinds of images that need to go back and forth easily between the two choices. Behavior now is just #1.

Also while im at it can you make the transparent background design customizable because all the grays make it kind of hard to tell if you have a stray pixel.I'm currently using PDN to sprite so stray pixels will get me flamed on the site i post them on i'm also aware that i could just make a layer to cover it but when i click save im reminded of the extra layer than i have to cancel and remove it.

May 14, 2012After upgrading to Gimp 2.8, I am loving the single window mode. But the brushes are working a bit differently to 2.6.
I work, mostly, on A4 pages at 300DPI. So when I want to enlarge a brush, I like to use a custom shortcut to quickly upscale the brush so that I can to a large size quickly.
This happened nicely in 2.6. However, in 2.8, I can't find a way to quickly upscale the brush in the same way. I've created the same custom shortcut, but the upscaling takes a lot longer to reach the desired scale. It's a case of holding down the keyboard shortcut and then waiting while the brush gets bigger.
Is there a way to speed up that upscale motion?
EDIT: In other words, is there a way to make the "increase brush size more" function increase its increments?
