Apr 3, 2012When I try to load a set of shapes, brushes, styles, etc..there is nothing in the folders. If I look in the folders using Windows Explorer the files are there in the preset folders.

Dec 20, 2013Every Time I select IMPORT on LR5 I have to "browse" and click several of the little triangles and navigate to the folder I want to import from. It seems to me in LR4 whenever I imported the File tree was left the way it was when it was shut down. I am not sure if I am expressing myself like I should it just gets frustrating becuase I am doing a Lot of importing from a Cloud source (dropbox camera uploads folder) and each time I have to browse from C Drive >USERS>USER NAME>DROPBOX>Camera uploads that is like 5 clicks every time I do it which is several times a day latley.

Nov 12, 2013Is there a way to have the organizer folders set up the same was as Windows Explorer? I have a main folder called Family with sub folders for all the years and in each of the subfolders there could be other subfolders. It wouldn't allow me to click on main folder and get all sub folders. I had to open main folder and then it shows all folders and sub folders separately. They are no longer nested.
Along the same lines, I wanted to create an album of Family with all subfolders, but that doesn't work.that is definitely a short coming which is why I never have used the organizer program, but just PSE for editing.

Jul 16, 2013I was asked to make a couple fantasy maps that look hand-drawn. It would be really cool if I could make an isometric mountain brush that puts a different mountain down every time I click it, or a randomized series of mountains along the brush stroke if I need a range. I thought some of the special effect brushes did this, but it turns out they just randomize the rotation in CS6.
On a related note and seemingly more unlikely, is there a way to have a two colored brush that uses foreground and background? If above mentioned mountain brush consists of ink-like lines, it would be useful if the mountains came in already filled so that they cut out the lines of whatever mountain is behind it.

In Photoshop 5, if I turn on the pressure sensitivity while using the Clone tool (and perhaps other tools as well...) I have to bear down very hard to make the pixels being cloned appear in the entire circle [brush] specified. The behavior I want is, instead, to be able to CHOOSE 1. pressure changes size of the flow within the brush [size]setting or 2. the full brush size places cloned pixels on the image at a rate of flow directly controlled by the pressure I exert on the pen nib.
There are some kinds of images that need to go back and forth easily between the two choices. Behavior now is just #1.

May 25, 2013I had two 2013 folders, each with about 100 daily folders. The dates were differnt in each annual folder. I dragged one into the other. The folder where the daily folder was dragged from is now empty but those folders do not appear in the recieving folder. All the photos are still in the catalog, but do not show in the folders (left side panel).

I can't work on pictures from these folders - I get the message: File named xxx is offline or missing. It does not sync the parent folder. Nor does it sync the folder it self. If I right clik on a LR4 folder with a ?, and try to locate the folder, I only get the option to merge the identical folders. Is there any way to sort this. I can't restore the old folder names.

Dec 10, 2011I am using LR3. I appear to be digging a massive hole for myself trying to sort out the catalog. When I first got LR, I had initially added just a small number of files just to see how LR worked. At this time I was still completing sorting out my full photo collection in 'my pictures' which were also copied to two external hard drives. Once that work was completed, I imported a complete folder (some 4000 images) into LR. The folder/subfolders appeared in the folders panel but the sub folders I had initially imported were displayed with a ? and a message 'file is missing or offline' Going down the road of 'find missing folder' eventually led to my problems.
About 6 sub folders are involved so I eventually took the decision that it could be easier just to remove them so I could then re-import them from 'my pictures'. That hasn't worked out as planned. When I go into 'file' to import photos from 'my pictures' the missing sub folders are there but the images are 'greyed' as well as the import button. When I put the cursor onto one of the greyed-out images the message 'appears to be a duplicate of another photo already in catalog' appears.
how I can restore the 'missing' sub folders into the folders panel.

Feb 21, 2011I was wondering if it was possible to make a selection tool that works just like the brush tool and pencil tool.i think it'd be much easier to select very small areas with this.If it is possible to consider putting it in PDN if it isn't too much of a problem.
Also while im at it can you make the transparent background design customizable because all the grays make it kind of hard to tell if you have a stray pixel.I'm currently using PDN to sprite so stray pixels will get me flamed on the site i post them on i'm also aware that i could just make a layer to cover it but when i click save im reminded of the extra layer than i have to cancel and remove it.
