Photoshop :: Bridge Stopped Saving Collections Content?

creating several collections in Bridge the other day (5 collections with about 20 images in each). After closing and restarting Bridge the collections were still in the list, but with (0) Items in them.
 
Figured it was a one-time-glitch and started sorting in collections again, and now after restarting Bridge the collections have 0 items in them yet again.
 
Note, the collections are just collections, not smart collections. I have used this feature frequently, always worked fine until just now.
 
Already tried resetting Bridge preferences with holding down ctrl-alt-shift on startup, didnt work - just lost all configuration settings.
