Recently my content aware feature stopped working. It worked for about 6 months and then stopped functioning correctly. I tried deleting and reloading the software, and this also did not work. I select an area to fill and choose content aware and it will only fill it partially.

I am unable to post a capture of what this looks like. Basically, when I try to utilize content fill..the result is a semi filled section. It looks as if it glazes over the selection..leaving it visible but partially filled. This happens regardless of the selection size, area of the photo etc.
Elements 11 face-reorganization feature has stopped working. Can I uninstall and reinstall this program on the same computer without being concerned about deactivation and serial number issues?
I have used content aware with some success but today I was using it to remove power lines in front of a building with a deep blue cloudless sky in the background. When I used content aware it lightened the sky to a pale blue, no where near the original color. I sampled the existing sky with the eye dropper but no change. I have used content aware probably 25 times and have never encountered this problem.
Was it suppose to be in the final release of Photoshop CS6? If you go to this link
[URL]..........
It states it was on beta version of Photoshop CS6 but no one have a video of it. Or maybe it was for future release like CS6.1 or CS7. I hope Adobe can add this useful feature on final version of CS6.
Content aware is grayed out in my fill options. Photoshop CS5 Extended'. Windows 7, 64-bit. I deleted preferences and restarted PS, but still have the same results.
I have an image that im trying to remove the black color and have it blue similar to the rest of the image, but for some reason i cant change it iv tried using content aware when getting rid of it but nothing happens, im not a photo shop so i thought ill ask here to see my image is attached
I have a 32 Bit HDR image in Photohsop CS6 and I tried using content aware fill on a section and it gave me black, but when I went to a PC and did it works fine. Why is there is a issue with it between OS's?

Mac OS X Content Aware Fill Edit: Windows Content Aware Fill Edit:
I have tried unsuccessfully to get Content Aware Fill in CS5 to work as advertised in the dozens of tutorials I have watched.CAF seems to drag in stuff from all over (even if I protect it in a mask) the background.
My knowledge (lack of, really) with content aware scaling is that 1st you create a new layer of the background and then rescale accordingly. I did the following: -
1- Created a 2nd layer 2- used quick selection tool on my main subject ( a person) and named it. 3- deselected the selection 4- Edit menu --> Content aware scale 5- resized it to something smaller (chose my previous named selection channel). 6- Pressed "Enter"
The result is that I can now see 2 images; the smaller sitting on the larger. What now? All I want is the smaller image. If I throw away the original layer what I end up is the new layer with the white and gray default background showing as part of the image (which ends up being printed as well or if saved looking as is with the grey-white. Is what I should do the obvious--cut out via cropping the un-needed (gray-white) part?
When I specify where the replacement content should come from it looks right as I am selecting it but when I let go of the mouse it makes a reflection of the nearby objects.
how would I go about applying content aware scaling to a video layer inside PS? Basically I'm trying to use this feature to fake an aspect ratio change where by I have a subject surrounded by a relatively uniform background and I would like to be able to create a protection mask as an alpha layer and have photoshop apply the content aware scaling only to the background(to fill in the empty parts of the rescaled video) and leave the subject untouched.
What I've done is opened a video in photoshop as a layer, created an alpha channel to represent the subject(subject is white, background is black on the created alpha channel), changed the canvas size to the new aspect ratio which obviously created a tranparent frame around the original video frame. I then tried to apply content aware scaling to the video, it converted the layer to a smart object then displayed the free transform handles. However, when I selected my alpha channel as the protection area, the content aware scaling seemed to ignore it and went on to distort the entire frame. Now I tried this with still frame from the same video with the same mask/alpha channel and it worked as expected just didn't seem to do it with video.
The idea, if it would be possible to do this in PS, is to rotoscope the subject roughly in AE and generate a matte pass which can then be used as the accompanying alpha layer of the video so then the content aware scaling can be applied to each invidividual frame.
Is there a way how to sample from small area and then apply content aware fill to the much more bigger area? For example - there is an object on a table. The object fills 90% of the image and the table 10% image. Now, I just want to delete the object. But that doesnt work with content aware fill, because the area around it is much smaller.
I just upgraded to CS6 64 bit under Windows 7. I used content aware fill and the spot healing tool on CS5 under XP with no problems. Now under CS6 they leave a smudge. For example, if the is a spot on a vein of a leaf, now, instead of removing the spot and filling in the line of the vein I just get a smudge the size of the spot healing brush.
Content aware fill now leaves a smudged and obviously poor result.
I've got a webpage footer to edit and I don't have the .psd file so I'm trying to use content-aware to take out an unwanted part. Problem is, the background isn't one solid color and the area where I'm making the edit has a definitive color change...it's an actual line dividing the footer into two sections. So, whenever I do the content aware fill it doesn't keep that line or the colors the way they "should" be.
Is this a situation where having the .psd file is a must?
What is the difference between the outcome of using the new content aware scale versus just going ahead and resizing the image? Or is this a matter of preference?
I'm trying to use content-Aware fill to enlarge a photo into different aspect frame. The subject is in pool, surrounded by a large area of water. I've put the image in to the larger aspect ratio canvas, with a green solid background behind it, then merged those two layers together as one. I selected all the green and delted using content-aware fill. It did a pretty good job but it's also recreating some of the subject.
Is there a way that I can specify the area that it chooses from, ie the water?
