View 9 RepliesIm using cs5.5 and need to print something 4' x 8'. Its mostly letters as well, but the problem is that the letters get really pixelated when I make them really big.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI took a picture on my phone when I was out, and it's kinda.. blurry and slightly pixelated. I was just wondering if theres anyway to make the image much more detailed - basically a better quality of image.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to make a Christmas present spelling out the last name using individual photos of letters (see below). I would like the finished image to be 16x20, and I am going to upload it and have it printed at a photo developing shop. I'm not sure how to set this up in GIMP.
When I set up my new file, how many pixels should I make the new image, if my desired size is 16x20. I'm not sure how many dpi to use when I convert the inches to pixels. I read that 300 dpi is desired.
I was thinking about making image boxes for each letter in one layer and cutting and pasting each letter into the boxes. Is this possible or do I need to make a new layer for each photo?
I have a CS5 PhotoShop document, and it is 150px by 150px. The problem is that any text i put on it is slightly pixelated. I have tried anti-aliasing but its not working.I am planning to put the image on a website but the text on the image is clearly more pixelated than text on the page even when it is saved in the highest quality jpeg.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm on a laptop, I work a lot on keyboard shortcuts and sometimes press something, and have no idea what I press. Unfortunately this time I have no idea what I did, and my text has gone funny.
I've exited the program and gone back in to no avail, it still looks pixelated and less quality than it should be. Here is an example of Times New Roman:
i've played with settings and preferences and resolution...and the problem remains:
when viewed at anything other than 100%, all text is pixelated, no matter if it's smooth, crisp...whatever. it prints fuzzy as well. i have run into this problem with photoshop (CS) before, but it was on a school computer and someone else fixed it. now i have my own (CS2)
I have designed an Ad in Illustrator which I need to export to insert into an email. When the client views on the Mac (I am working on PC), compression like artifacts are visible around the text (see below... it is mainly around the white text in the red background header box). I have tried: Outlining fonts Saving as JPG / PNG300ppi / 600 ppi..how to save it so it is clean and crisp (like the AI design)
View 5 Replies View RelatedAlright, what is going on with Adobe's accounts?
Apparently Adobe doesn't recognize my username and password for this second account, and when I ask to send a password to my email, I never get the email, so I had to create a third account just to post a thread and update it. [URL]....
I can't find a Reply button anywhere to update my question. I just saw it there a few days ago. What happened to that? How do I export a vector drawing with text in Photoshop to a PDF, such that the text isn't pixelated when I view the PDF?
I'm having trouble printing out a Photoshop picture with some text. The text comes out noticeably pixelated. I know there is a way to print it in a non-pixelated way (the font is much more smooth) since I can print out another Photoshop picture with text of the same font, color, size, and everything else and there is no pixelation. Both pictures are exactly the same size (863 by 1125), and neither text layer has been rasterized. Why would one print out pixelated and the other not?
View 4 Replies View Relatedeverything was fine until I downloaded and opened an animated .gif in Photoshop 7.0 for manipulation. I'm not sure how .gifs work, so I just used the one frame of the animation that came up when I opened it.
I did the job an everything turned out fine.
when I use the text function in Photoshop, the text always comes out pixelated and jagged.
I am using Corel for driving a fiber laser through a dedicated Net connection not available to the rest of the network and it and my computer are right next to the switch.
My problem is that when I send a job from the PC to the laser it works fine. If I make a small change on the graphics, I save it and send a new job to the laser. Quite often, some part of my grapics is left off the plot even though I didn't touch that graphic or mod it. So I send the job over again and now somewhere else is missing some of the graphic word...usually a word or a letter or number. I usually turn off the computer or get out of Corel and come back in and it is fixed. That doesn't sound like a network dropped or corrupted graphic. I have tried turning off the laser with Corel still up and it doesn't fix the problem when I bring the laser on line again.
I am trying to produce nutritional facts and text for product labels and it is looking somewhat pixelated. Some printer told me to use illustrator or quark and import that text to photoshop. Any better ideas?
View 6 Replies View Relatednew user to GIMP. Trying to add text, but when I type - instead of the letters appearing in the text box, the shortcut keys are being used instead.
For example:
If I type "R", instead of "R" appearing, the Rectangle Select Tool is selected
If I type "M", instead of "M" appearing, the Move Tool is selected
This has only started today, hasn't been a problem before now. Just wondering if I've accidentally turned on a feature?
I am trying to learn how to write or design text letters using images for instance I want to know how i would write Photoshop using noodles or electricity wires.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I have text, its always fuzzy or pixelated, its really annoying.I have antialiasing selected, I have changed the dpi, made sure it was at 100% and whatever else I could think of.Also, I think the background is also a bit fuzzy, so that's why I think it is the dpi or something like that. But it is always not 100% sharp.I have attached a copy of the back cover. Its the same for all though.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI know how to make a sentence go around the inside/outside of a circle, but suppose the sentence is not a line of typed text, but rather a line of hand-calligraphed letters which have been scanned and vectorized?
Another way of asking my question: how would you put a line of curves (letters) around a circle? To visualize, it is for a flat, coin-like pendant which will have a quote going around it.
I have a logo that I want to plot, it has both picture and text. When I vectorize the image the graphic part of the logo looks great. The text cannot be identified. It looks like a bunch of shapes.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I enter text into an image, the letters are surrounded by the moving selection dashes, the font colour is not there, the image turns a strange red colour and I cannot get rid of the selection dashes.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi'm making a newsletter in which there are pages which has to written in malayalam. i use charmap (Start>Run>Charmap). in that i make a sentence by selecting each letters.. Charmap has its own text field where the written text is displayed. from that text field i've to copy paste it to corel draw's text field.
Now the problem is whenever i paste it on corel draw's text field, the letters come a bit jumbled up. i've noticed that the vowels get jumbled up. but when i paste it on ms word, it comes as it is.
Just right now, I can't find a possibility to attach a text to a curve with upright letters.

I already know how to 'text along path' but then the letters are skewed.
I want to create a text wrap - or drop cap - for a giant letter B. But I can't figure out how to do it, and every tutorial I see for drop caps refers to InDesign, and those steps do not work in Illustrator.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI need a script for Illustrator CS6, that...
1. Opens a dialog where I enter a letter, like "A".
2. Script then check the current layer for text with this letter, and "unview" (opacity = 0 or color=white), all other letters on this layer. So that the layer will only show "A", or "a" and no other type of letter. The script needs to check all text objects, some "a"s will be in objects consisting of several other letters also, like sentances. Script needs to find the letter in these and mute all others.
I have a large text with different letters and want to change the different letters with different color. for an example

How do I select all the text and change the same letters to a selected color at once, I know how to change the color for a letter one by one, but it is too tedious.
In the example, the red text is along the path (dotted red line). Normally the letters would slant too, but is there a way to keep them vertically oriented while doing text-to-path?

Do I need a special plug-in. How can I put something into its negative (black/white -> White/black)?
When I print my project to pdf there appears to be a copy (in white) of the text behind all the letters.
