Photoshop :: After Stroke Applied Border Not Visible...

I apply a stroke to one or more images which share a common background. I click on the thumbnail image in a given layer, add a new layer in which I stroke the image. This all works as expected, after I apply the stroke I only see the border but not on all four sides? The layers have all been previously aligned and distributed. If I move the image slightly the border becomes visible on all sides, but the images are no longer aligned.

If I make a rectangle, add a stroke border around it, is there a way to make the area of the rectangle clear/transparent but keep the stroke boarder 100% visible?
This can be easily done in InDesign by just picking (none) as a color but I dont see an obvious way to do it in photoshop.

I'm trying to apply a stroke to a .jpg image in Illustrator 6, and even though the weight and color show in the windows, the object itself has no visible stroke.

I am clicking on a line and altering it's stroke weight to numbers as big as 70pt, but the there is no visible change to the line! If I click off the line and back on it, it still says that it is 70pt, but this is not apparent! Have i clicked on something that prevents me from altering the line weights?

I have a circular / elipse type shape which has a stroke border of 3. I make a copy of it, and I want to delete the copies stroke border so I can fit it exactly within the original shape.

I reset preferences using the shift key and the instructions on the cited web site. neither worked I also restarted the computer. If I open paint shop X5 the paper edges can be seen behind the image but if you look at the enclosed screen print you can see paper edges are not visible in paint shop pro X6.

Is there a simple way to add a white border around a still image or video clip in Premiere Pro CS 5.5? I've seen the suggestions for adding a radial shadow and am unsatisfied with the results; it's nearly impossible to center the image within the border and many other suggestions out there do not address CS 5.5.

I have a drawing that has a white background.
I would like to add more to the white background to make it bigger without having to stretch it and distort the image.
I want to place a circle shaped outline border around the original image with a set border thickness and color and be able to crop/remove the portion of the image beyond the outline, changing it from a square/rectangle image to a circular image.
If I am not able to change the drawing to have a round outer border from square, how can I make the outer parts past the newly created circular outline transparent?

Is there a way or an option I am missing to convert my regular paths to a path stroked with a brush profile,while maintining the proper stroke width?
For instance, I have a regular line with a stroke of 5 and then add a brush profile, which then converts the original stroke to whatever the brush was made at.

I have a shape with a black stroke and green fill. I have a white line segment over it. How do I get it so that the end of the line segment doesn't show over the black stroke of the object? If I try to put the line segment behind the object, then the object fill hides it completely.
I'm new to illustrator and I've tried to search for an answer but I don't know the best way to accomplish what I want to do. Seems like some combination of transparency or knockout groups and I've read a bit about this and can't figure out what I need to do.

I need an outline on a stroke that i drew but when i apply object>path>outline stroke i keep getting my initial stroke applied as well. I only need the outline, not the initial stroke. I use Illustrator CC.

in Ps5, trying to create mist effect - create layer copy,adjust saturation to -100 and lightness to +100, (image turns completely white),select gradient tool, select BandW linear gradient. I drag the pointer from bottom of image to top, but nothing changes - image still completely white, as if the gradient has not been applied.

I'm trying to figure out a way to automate a simple, yet repetative process I do countless times a day. Ideally, I'd like to tie it to a keystroke to speed up my workflow.
I work on line art and colorways for footwear, so the way I'm coloring these shapes and strokes break apart the different materials and pieces of the shoe.
While coloring line art, I work with Pantone spot colors as fills for closed path objects. I then have to manually apply that same color to the stroke, set the stroke to 0.5px weight, convert that spot stroke color to CMYK, and add 15% to the K value.
I found some code in an older post for applying the actively selected object's fill color to the stroke, but I'm having but I'm having trouble with the next step of figuring out how to take that spot stroke color and convert it to a CMYK build that I can then add 15% black to. Is this something that's even possible? I've spent about an hour playing with the script and have only had luck matching the fill color or turning the stroke white.

Can you remove 3d extrusion once applied in CS6?
I made some nice text, but I would like to remove the 3D without losing the font choices/placement etc..

working with fairly small images, 30 x 20 centimeters ...12 x 8 inches... @ 300 dpi...and want to apply the Canvas Texturiser filter over the image. but when i do the texture comes up as a grid-like tiled surface which looks very unprofessional. i have had a bit of a play with the scaling of the effect in the dialogue window but the tiling effect still comes up. can this be over-ridden so the texture i want can be applied to look like one large canvas texture?

I am placing a photoshop image into Indesign. It is an image of a Poloroid picture. When I import it into ID the drop shadow is applied to the entire bounding box or image surface area. I'd like to have it applied just to the "element" or Poloroid image instead.I'm saving it as a flattened JPG and placing it into ID.

I just upgraded to PSE 11. The first thing I attepted was to place a caption on some images. The caption does not appear. I attempt again to apply the caption and it is already there in the dialog box but still doesn't appear on the image.

I've wrapped my head around how to reclaim the stripped-out portion of an image that has been non-destructively cropped in CS6: click the image with the crop tool, or select Reveal All from the Image menu. Short of doing this every time I suspect that I may have cropped an image, is there anything in Photoshop's interface to tell me at a glance if the image has been non-destructively cropped? I guess I could check the document dimensions in the pop-up status display at the bottom of the window, but I'm looking for something more direct that doesn't make me search.

I want to create some typography in Photoshop that will be used to create a web address that will be applied as a watermark to lots of images.
1. After I create the watermark, any easy way to apply it to lots of images? As an action? Something else? Is this easier to do in Lightroom?
2. Any style of typography/color that would convey a Mediterranean villa style?

Let's say you have two photos - Photo A and Photo B Both Photos are identical in every way, except Photo B had several Color Corrections applied to it. So, in reality, Photo A became Photo B after these Color Corrections were applied.
The question is:
Does Photoshop CS6 have a way to analyze Photo B by comparing it with Photo A, then telling you what Color Corrections were applied, (even if you had not recorded a script)?

With Photoshop CC, when editing a video and adding a "Camera Raw Filter" to some video layer, the effect will be applied only to one frame and not to the whole video layer.
Should it not add that filter to the whole layer (e.g. all frames in that clip)?

When I go to open photos - they are opening in blue-green-purple colors as if a filter is being applied. The color pallette is also appearing with the same blue-purple colors. In the layers pallette - the icon of the image appears in the normal colors and no filters, etc. have been applied. It's all starting from when selecting the photo to be opened in photoshop.

I am having the darndest time figuring out what I'm not understanding with this, "bug". (I call it a bug because it seems to be one, imo.)
Specs:
Mac OS X 10.75
Creative Suite 5, Photoshop 5.1
"Issues":
If I adjust paragraph settings, like indents, in one file, those options do not return to default when I start a new file. Thus, I find myself wondering why I have such large gaps between lines of copy or to the left, etc. when I start a new text layer. (This actually happens not only in new files, but in new layers - the latter is slightly more understandable in that it's the same file.)
When a lightbuld goes on for me: "Check your type settings." And, lo-and-behold, there things are: space before or after a paragraph; right or left indents. All settings that used to be cleared when a new file - or a new layer - are opened. This is excruciatingly annoying.If I apply a layer style (e.g., drop shadow) to a shape layer, and then I create another shape layer, the latter one automatically gets all the same style settings applied. That is, the new layer has the all the same layer styles applied to it by default. Meaning, I have to then delete those as they are often not what I intend.
In any case, it used to be that I could choose what I want my own new files and layers to look like, not have previously used settings automatically applied.
