Photoshop :: Adaptive Wide Angle Filter - Without Auto Correction?
Mar 17, 2013
Is there a way to make Adaptive wide angle filter NOT applying default correction? I cannot seem to use the filter because upon loading it always "correct" my photo in a way that I don't want to no matter whant option I choose.
As you can see, the auto correct image is softer and not as pleasant. I just want to be able to adjust it to the way I want. It is even worst with Panorama.
I am working on a panorama in PS CS6. I have merged all the images and am trying to correct the perspective using the adaptive wide angle filter. But when I open the filter and set correction mode to perspective - all I see is a background transparency. If I try to use one of the other modes the full image isn't visible, just seeming randomly cropped. I am using a macbook Pro running Lion 10.7.5.
Also, the lens information IS embedded in the image and is visible when I open the filter.
I'm trying to use the adaptive wide angle filter on a panoramic image, and I don't seem to have a 'panorama' option from the correction pull-down menu. The tutorials I've found online all seem to have it, but mine only has fisheye, perspective, auto, and full spherical (see screengrab).
I open an iPhone pano image. go to filter–>adaptive wide angle filter and in the lower left corner I find – as indicated as being requested to function properly the tut – the name of the camera, the lens and the f-stop with wich the image was taken. The filter does still not draw the automatic line on the corved part of the building I try to improve. Going to correction –> automatic in the upper right corner I get an error message that no matching profile for the iPhone's camera's lens could be found.
Why that when it is clerly indicated as being 4.28 mm etc already? The iPhone 4S has been here for quite a while and is widely used, so why the error?
When I try to use "Auto" correction in the new Adaptive Wide Angle filter, it pops up with "No matching lens profile found". I searched for information and was directed to go to the Lens Correction filter. I pressed the "Search Online" button. The first time it comes back with "Connection timeout", but the second time it says "No online profiles found". Come on, really?!
ACR has my lens profile (Canon 24-105 f/4 IS), why can't PS CS6 find it? Is there a workaround? I'd really like to use the Adaptive Wide Angle filter.
I have the beta installed but I also installed the trial of CS6 on another computer.. Both do the exact same thing with the Adaptive Wide Angle filters. I set a line as straight, mark as vertical (2 lines really) and then process. The lines that are vertical come out wavy... best way to describe it..
I add the 2 control lines to the very outside most windows where the windows meet the brick... This is a closeup of the output... I don't know when straight lines became waveforms.. but they do with this filter!
I'm in need of a photoshop plugin that corrects barrel distortion caused from a wide angle lense. The photographic subject is achitecture. I've been told that a plugin exists however I have not found it.
I've got Photoshop CS3 and would like to "Auto Correct" some 3000 photos. The only way I know of how to auto correct something is to manually click Image>Adjustments>Auto Levels, Auto Colors, and Auto Curves.
Is there some way that I can have Photoshop completely Auto Correct a batch of photos?
I clicked on the auto color correction from the level because the picture was pink. I looked at the shadod clip .50 , highlight clip .50 and closed it when It changed the picture and it's better now but Can I still use the arrow from red, blue and green from the level to get better pictures?
I have CS6 with the most recent updates and RAW 7.1.
First: When I crop an image (I am using the new crop tool), and I make sure I have cropped it (hit enter after adjusting the box), if I then try to use the Lens Correction filter, it will not load the cropped version of the image but only the uncropped version. (CS5 did NOT do this). This makes using the Vignetting tool impossible to use, since when the image gets sent back to the main PS window, it shows up as cropped again, and the area corrected is out of range! The only way I can now use the tool is to save the cropped image to a new file and then open it up in a new PS window and THEN edit it with the lens correction filter.
Second: When I was trying to open and process some RAW files today, whenever I used the sharpening tool, it would preview just fine on the RAW window, but when I opened the file after finishing my adjustments, all of the adjustments would still be there EXCEPT the sharpening and NR ones. It did not matter if I saved the image to different file types, or opened it directly; the adjustments made with that set of tools were lost outside of the RAW window. This is definitely not the way CS5 worked.....and it seems like a bug.
Third: I know this is not a bug, how to change what the files do, since I can't find where to set this. When I open a JPG file, if I do any work to it at all, it then automatically gets saved as a PSD file unless I select JPG from the pulldown menu. How in the world can I get this pulldown to NOT automatically go to PSD when I am working with JPGs? It is an extra step that just gets in my way.
I have a Window Vista64 Intel Core2Quad CPU Q7600 processor machine with 6GB RAM and a Nvidia GeForce GT 430, with the latest updates.
I think that ACR uses same lens correction profiles with the filter in PS.
There is only one profile for Canon EF 100 mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM, but I get two different results when correcting in PS and correcting in ACR (default lens correction mode).
My pc crashed, upon reboot I'm unable to run PSCS6 lens correction filter. The error reads "The end of data was reached while reading from a container". The crash occurred while using the lens correction filter, the pc locked up. When I rebooted everything worked fine except the lens correction filter.
It just consisted of a bottom layer and another layer with a fill.
I flattened the layers.
I then went to filter>distort>lens correction, because I wanted to introduce some lens distortion to the image - but the "lens correction" option was greyed out.
I tried doing this with another image and it was fine.
Lens correction, and therefore vingette does not apper in my distort filter drop down menu in cs5? can I put this in to this filter or is it somewhere else.
I'm unable to find a profile for my Canon 5D Mark III within the PS CS6 lens correction filter. In fact, Canon isn't even available as a camera make option within the Search Criteria box, nor are any canon lenses. When I click the Search Online button, the prompt reads "No online profiles found".
I have no problem within Light room 4 (the Mark III and lenses are recognized)-- however, I'd really like to be able to use the new Adaptive Wide Angle Lens filter within CS6, which needs the camera's EXIF data to function correctly. I'm using a new i Mac OS X.7
PSE10 using Windows 7 64bit system. When I use the Dust and Scratch filter, I can see the improvement in the photo (or the inset) , but when I click OK, it goes back to the way it was. This happens whether I use "Preview" or not.
I want to make a script-fu with the White Balance auto correction(Colors->Auto->White Balance).I couldn't find any procedure/plug-in in the procedure browser that do that.
How to call this procedure? or, it there a way to do it manually?
I used the Pinch filter function for barrel correction in GoPro video. Unfortunately it does not correct the whole pictures area: the corners remain untouched. Is there any real barrel correction (fish eye lens correction) filter available for Video Studio?
I have got a logo that is 451 x197. It has a resolution of 72 px. I am trying to increase the resolution so that I can use the image for business cards and letterhead.
I need for the image to have a width of about 2500 pixels. If I scale the image to 2500 pixels the edges look pixelized or blurry.
My question is: Is there a way that I can make the 471 px logo stretch to 2500 px and still have sharp edges?
LightRoom and Camera Raw have profiles for Lens Correction and all the current available lens are in the list for the Canon 6D raw files. BUT the Filter/Lens Correction when in Photoshop CS6 only have 2 Tamron lens listed. Odd that there are lens profiles for the Canon 6D raw files in Lightroom and Camera RAW but not CS6 Filter/Lens Correction.
Camera RAW, LR and PS are up to date..... NOTE: I have a Canon 7D, G11 and 1D Mark II N and all their files work as expected. It's only RAW files created by the Canon 6D.
I have photoshop cs4 and I cannot find the Auto smart fix, auto levels, and auto contrast nor the adjustment for each that I had with photoshop elements.
Is there a quick way to rotate an object to match an angle without knowing what the angle is? I am using AutoCAD 2011 now. I was using 2007 and I had an add on command the would rotate an object using a base point and picking the two lines that make up the angle, and it would match the angle you wanted. I can not get that command to load in 2011.
I have a property line that is N 36d19'52" E but needs to be N 12d52'18" E. The obvious and calculated rotation angle would be 23d27'34" but when I rotate the line by the calculated angle it doesn't rotate to the right angle. It's off by 0d11'10"!? When I draw a line by bearing at N12d52'18" E and inquiry the angle between the property line and the drawn line the angle difference is in fact 23d27'34".
Let's say I am inserting a square block into a dwg and want to get it parallel to an existing angled line. Do I have to read the angle of the line and insert the block to that angle or is there a quicker way?
