Paint Shop Pro :: Project Creator Included In X4?
Nov 28, 2011I noticed I am missing the Project Creator in v. X4...will it be added in an update or did Corel dump it all together?

Paint Shop Pro :: Project Creator Unable To Connect
Apr 8, 2011I just purchased the PSP X3 Ultimate. Installed everything with no issue. Rebooted edited a photo saved it then opened Project Creator to upload it to Facebook. Put in my correct email and password. Yet I get the error of:
Unable to connect Please check your network connection.
the same machine that has PSP/Project Creator there is nothing wrong with my network connection. I've checked my UN/PW for Facebook and my connection and everything is correct.
It appears I can not even connect via PSP to check for updates etc.
Paint Shop Pro :: Cannot Browse To Photos In Project Creator
Jul 27, 2011Just got Photo Pro x3 Ultimate and that works fine. The Photo Project Creator on the other hand seems to have a problem. I can run it and open a new project but I cannot browse to where my pictures are stored. Pictures are only available if I put them on my desktop. The browser shows me as a user and the hard drive but when I click on them nothing happens. I have tried deleting the files in the digital studio folder and completely reinstalling the program to no avail. It does not matter who I run the program as or if I run it in compatibility mode.

May 16, 2011I am unable to open folders in project creator i have done what corel has suggested by still dont work. I am unable to contact via email as that dont work as i get failed to create a case.

May 14, 2010After looking at reviews, I took the big step and bought the download version of Photo Pro X3, which got me a 2nd download file called Photo Essentials 4. Installed X3 first, then PE4. I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled 'till I'm blue in the face. X3 looks like a good product, at least with the little I've done so far. But . . .
When I start Photo Essentials, which opens as Photo Project Creator, I get nowhere. Step one: selecting what you want to create works fine. However, on the screen where photo selection should be made, I only get the Desktop and My Computer icons, and My computer won't expand.
After 2 days of frustration, I decided to install ONLY Photo Essentials 4 on my wife's PC to see what happened. It opened with a screen that said Photo Essentials 4 at the top, and something that would allow me to paint over the top of a picture. Doesn't even resemble what opens on my PC.
Both PC's are running Windows XP Media Ed. I've noticed apparently similar problem with Windows 7, but is this really just the norm? I tried the cure I found elsewhere in this forum, by shutting down certain processes, and deleting everything within Digital Studio, but it didn't change anything.
Paint Shop Pro :: Project Creator BLANK Card Template
Jun 1, 2011Cannot find any additional templates for project creator. Quite a limited selection. Would prefer a completely blank page (Cover & inside) so that I can create an image in it's entirety elsewhere & load it as an image. Am trying to find the template in the project creator folder so that I can edit it & make it completely blank. If no one knows where I can download one that is already blank, how to edit the file that the existing templates are using?

Nov 9, 2012I want to bring into one new blank project about 12 images, resize them, mess about with them, reposition them etc...easy enough...BUT im stuck as stage one. I cant seem to simply bring in more than 1 image..next image appears on a new sheet...Clearly im using the wrong method...
Open new project, decide on size of project/paper. Then i click on....what....to bring in a photo....and then...to bring in another photo etc..
Paint Shop Pro :: Equating Pictures In IMAGE Project
Dec 20, 2011I am trying to equating images in the best way in a PSPIMAGE Project. My base image (background) has a dimension of 640 x 480.
I inserted two pictures. By original configuration, picture A (200 x 266) is bigger than picture B (145 x 189).
- If I increase size of picture B (to achieve same size of picture A), this picture will loss quality. Isn't it (I'm not completely sure)?
- So, maybe could be best decrease size of picture A (to achieve same size of picture B). But it will "harm" my main "composition" of dimension 640 x 480.
It seems to be simple but I don't know what to do or by where to begin...

Dec 24, 2011Just came upon an error I had not seen before. Though PSP no longer supports Animation Shop, up until PSP X4, the user has been able to export frames back to PSP from Animation Shop. Now, this no longer works! There's still some communication there, because an error message - which, incidentally, makes absolutely no sense at all - is generated in PSP X4:

May 15, 2012I want to use the paint brush for editing a photo I have, but the only color available is black. No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?

Jun 8, 2008When I save a photo using the Photoshop CS3 'save for the web' command, I resize the photo to, for example, 800 pixels on the long side. It comes back the correct size but sometimes the colors look different (a little red usually). Is this because I was editing the original photo in RGB? Should I convert to profile, sRGB before I save for the Web? Or does Photoshop do this automatically? OR, should I convert to sRGB and then do color adjustments for the web?

Jun 17, 2013In Illustrator I'm using "save for web" to generate a png copy of an Illustrator file. The Illustrator file has copyright metadata, but when I check the png copy the copyright metadata is missing.
Why doesn't the png copy have the same metadata as the original file? Shouldn't the metadata be passed along when using "save for web"?
I applied the metadata in Bridge using the append metadata command.
Illustrator :: How To Close Off Included Shape

Jan 30, 2012Using PSPP X3 Ultimate.
I have some Tif files and jpeg files that are 600dpi and 400dpi. I scanned these images with my Canon CanoScan LiDE 700F scanner. Can i use my version of PSPP X3 Ultimate to change the dpi value? Is this stuck? I wanted to be able to get the 600 and 400 dpi image files (I have some 300dpi's too) down to the 100-250 range if I needed to. I see there are different export options and compression in PSPPX3Ultimate, but I'm not sure if this will do what I want.
I want to export as Tif and Jpeg again.
Are there any good third party photo and or video editors that I can batch edit this with? It's ok to mention pay programs and I'd prefer good quality freeware if there is such a thing. I am sure that my Corel program can do the trick though. I just don't know how and don't want to rescan multiple dpi's every single time. I only need the archives and then get the smaller dpi when needed.
Paint Shop Pro :: X5 Won't Load?
Nov 2, 2012I was using a trial version of paint shop pro x5 and still had 11 days left of my trial when it suddenly stopped working. When I click on the icon to start paint shop pro it starts up and then freezes every time when it is loading in the spot that says "initializing color swatches".
I haven't changed anything on my computer- it just suddenly stopped working. I uninstalled it and tried reinstalling it, I also tried restoring it.

Jun 26, 2011I installed PaintShop Pro Ultimate X3 several months ago. It worked fine initially, but then stopped running and gave me an error message pertaining to a language error. In an effort to fix the problem, I have completely uninstalled the application and removed all of its registry entries. I then reinstalled the program, which appeared to be successful, however, now it simply will not run and gives no error message whatsoever. When you click the desktop icon, it tries to load momentarily, then does nothing more.
I have removed my virus protection and my User Account Control.
